2 Dye Metering Systems Accurate make down and metering is cri cal for dye systems to deliver reliable and steady performance. At EGM, we engineer and manufacture custom dye feed units that will not only meet your specifica ons, but your expecta ons as well. We have dozens of units in the field that generate rock steady, repeatable results u lizing our solids control technologies. Incorpora ng this strategy into our custom dye handling systems results in equipment longevity and process stability. Preparing dyestuff for feed is the first step, but at EGM we also provide our clients with rugged and reliable feed units to deliver your precisely prepared products to your process. DYE PREP KEY FEATURES Op ons include both local logic dilu on control or remote DCS e in. Intelligently automated neat dye and water dilu on loops with properly sized mixers deliver accurate solids control. Remote operated solenoid valves trigger water flush sequences between batches, during outages, or at pre determined intervals to clear contaminants or noncompa ble materials from the system. Properly sized pumps with oversize motors deliver reliable performance. Piping is accessible with pre planned disconnect points to allow for maintenance and re build. DYE FEED The Dye Feed sister unit accurately meters the made down dyes (or ready as received dyes, for that ma er) to your process. PLC Logic or remote DCS control op ons are available. The equipment is laid out to specifically allow for ease of maintenance if required. Automated water flush cycles are incorporated to prevent material contamina on and plugging. Bulle n EDMS 1

3 One of the op ons available from EGM on dye metering systems is the incorpora on of an all stainless steel punch panel to allow for quick switching of products between various inlet and outlet connec ons. As you can see in the photo, stainless braided hoses with chemically inert liners and leak less quick disconnect fi ngs are posi oned to allow switchboard type opera on for ease of use and reliable feed from either primary or swing back up supply pumps. U lizing automa c sequences for flushing pumps that see intermi ent use promotes reliability and longer life. In addi on, provisions are made for downstream dilu on to help carry dyes to their applica on point with increased velocity to promote more uniform mixing with stock systems to op mize dye usage. Systems can be custom configured to meet client requirements, including control op ons, power requirements, materials of construc on for dye compa bility and custom layouts to afford flexibility for current and future use.
