Increment Ia-2 was fielded in early 2012 and greatly increases range from 25.2 kilometers to 40.5 kilometers. he xcalibur guided projectile program is using an incremental development approach to provide a combat capability to the oldier as quickly as possible while delivering advanced capabilities at lower costs. xcalibur Increment Ib will provide further performance improvements while significantly lowering unit costs.
