3 HISAC General Objectives 37 partners from Industries, SMEs, Research Centers and Universities to: Provide specifications for an environmentally friendly and economically viable small size supersonic transport aircraft Give recommandations for future supersonic environmental regulations (community noise, emissions, sonic boom) Make progress on elementary technologies and define road map for their future maturation and validation, up to a future proof of concept. 6 Environmental objectives Emissions and pollution LTO: HISAC engines comply with next ICAO standards High altitude: HISAC allowed to optimize engine / aircraft design and operational specifications in order to keep high altitude emissions very low anthropogenic air traffic HISAC dt [mk] ~ 0.08 Temperature change between 2000 and 2100 (250 a/c and 100 flights/year/ac)
7 Hisac target Chap IV -10dB: Environmental objectives Noise Very constraining for ss aircraft New design and technologies New operation procedures 12.2 Supersonic aeroplanes Ń Application for Type Certificate submitted on or after 1 January 1975 Note.Ń Ń Standards and Recommended Practices for these aeroplanes have not been developed. Ho wever, the maximum noise levels of this Part that would be applicable to subsonic jet aeroplanes may be used as a guideli ne. Acceptable levels of sonic boom have not been established and compliance with subsonic noise standards may not be presumed to permit supersonic flight.
