1 Research of Environmental Sciences Vol 24 No 12 Dec min r min X705 A Hydrothermal Process-Centrifugation for Separation of Waste Grease from Restaurant Garbage NING Na REN Lian-hai WANG Pan YUE Jian-wei College of Food Science and Technology Beijing Technology and Business University Beijing China Abstract Hydrothermal process-centrifugation was used to improve the recovery rate of waste grease from restaurant garbage The effects of heating time temperature and centrifugation speed on the recovery rate of waste grease from the restaurant garbage were investigated by experimentation At the same time appropriate technological conditions suitable for waste grease recovery from restaurant garbage were defined through comparison with the hydrothermal process-gravitation process The results showed that the hydrothermal process-centrifugation was much better than hydrothermal process-gravitation process for the recovery of grease from restaurant garbage With increased temperature and heating time the de-oiling performance of the restaurant garbage improved Furthermore the trend became more remarkable as temperature increased When the temperature and the heating time reached 120 and 80 min the efficiency of the interior solid grease liquefaction and extraction was optimal The optimum centrifugation speed for oil separation from the restaurant garbage effluent was 2500 r min The grease separation rate reached the highest under these conditions Key words restaurant garbage hydrothermal process centrifugation grease recovery D ningna860204@ 163 com * renlh@ th btbu edu cn 5-12 wwwcn-
