With the employment of moulded pump-hed, nd with the new stndrdistion of three types of connections using flnges, hose, or union joints (0.kW type), not only sving in prts cost but lso improved flexibility of instlltion hs been relized. The three min pump hed mterils re, stinless steel, or fluororesin. The most suitble type for the ppliction cn be selected from totl of seven different mterils. A wide rnge of chemicls, such s cid, lkline, orgnic solvent, slurry, nd high-temperture liquids, is covered by the series. Drive component The hed of the LK series is the dul-cm system driving section with highly relible, built-in worm ger type speed reducer. The compct nd rigid mechnism is result of the design gol to chieve mximum wer resistnce in continuous opertion. In ddition to the worm ger which is designed with considerbly lrge module rtio, the mteril is luminium bronze, nd tper roller bering is used t the end of the worm ger for the efficient trnsmission of motor power to the pump section. A fully enclosed oil bth lubriction system is employed to permit outdoor instlltion. The durbility in continuous opertion over long period of time is lso excellent. Motor All of the stndrd models employ totlly enclosed outdoor-use motors which re verticlly mounted to sve spce. The 0.kW type is n IWAKI originl motor, which is instlled in the smll models of the LK series. Besides the stndrd 00V, other voltges re vilble. Specil considertion, (different from the ordinry centrifugl pumps), should be given to this point when plnning the pump instlltion nd piping.
