Seprtor function bsed on EN 85 Grese seprtors should be instlled in ll loctions where greses nd oils from plnt or niml origin re required to be removed from the wstewter strem. Only wstewter contining orgnic FOG, which re required to be seprted from the wter, should be llowed into the seprtor. Under no circumstnces should sewge, rinwter or wstewter contining minerl oils (hydrocrbon bsed) be llowed to enter the seprtor. Sludge seprtion chmber The sludge seprtor serves to collect sludge / sediment which sinks to the bottom of the chmber due to its density being greter thn tht of the density of wter. Grese seprtion chmber In the grese seprtion chmber, orgnic FOG (being less dense thn wter) seprte from the wstewter nd rise to the surfce of the chmber. As more wstewter enters the chmber, the lyer of seprted greses nd oils builds from the top down until the grese seprtion chmber is full nd the entire chmber is emptied.
