2 A new line of general use cable ties from 3M Made in USA These ties are made of high quality 6/6 nylon in the USA, which offers excellent availability (the 3M Cable Tie 48" is imported and not plenum rated). Available in two colors: Black (indoor/outdoor, UV-weather resistant) Natural (indoor) Available in 8 industry-standard lengths to accommodate your needs: 4", 6", 8", 11", 15", 24", 36" and 48". UL Listing These ties are UL tested and suitable for use in air handling spaces in accordance with Section (C) and (D) of the National Electrical Code (all 3M cable ties, except for the 48" ties, are plenum rated). The 36- and 48-inch ties are UL Listed 181B-C mechanical fasteners for use with flexible air ducts. In 5 tensile strengths for light to heavy-duty jobs Miniature Ties: 18 lbs. Plenum rated The new packaging for these cable ties clearly highlights the plenum rating and confirms that the ties meet the National Electrical Code C/D standard. Plenum refers either to the space between the structural ceiling and the dropped ceiling or the space under a raised floor that can facilitate air circulation for heating and air conditioning systems. It often houses the communication cables for the building s computer and telephone network. Cable and piping within a plenum must be rated for its fire and smoke indices.
