1 Greeting Your Client NSX: Presentation Greeting your client is much more than welcoming them to your dealership. In today s environment, clients tend to shop online first. Your challenge is to discover what they already know and why they came to your dealership. Once you know these details, you can customize your presentation. Clients usually have an area of interest and came to the dealership to verify their decision or decide between a couple of vehicles. By knowing the features they need and characteristics of a vehicle that excite them, you can best meet their expectations. Be sure to validate all the work your client has done. Ask what motivated them to visit the dealership and be prepared to begin the sales process where they prefer. Do they want to drive right away? You could discuss features and technologies once inside the vehicle. The key is to know which features and technologies your client WANTS to hear about. And, most importantly, you must be sure to present the benefits for any feature you discuss. Here, you will find a comprehensive list of NSX features, technologies and factory options. Most clients will only want to hear about a fraction of these features and benefits. You won t know what those are until you find out more about your client s wants and needs, likes and dislikes. So be sure to read about each of the features and technologies here, while knowing that you ll need to customize every NSX presentation to every NSX buyer. If you are not an NSX Specialist, find out who is at your dealership and use them as a resource on all things NSX. NEW SPORTS EXPERIENCE SUPERCAR Ablation Castings* FEATURE: Ablation casting technology is utilized in the creation of six joining members, or nodes two upper and two lower nodes in the front frame and two rear nodes. The front upper and rear nodes also serve as ultra-rigid suspension mounting points. The ablation casting process allows for the fine-tuning of both the cast part s shape as well as the material properties of the castings in the energyabsorbing areas of the vehicle, while minimizing weight in the form of a hollow part with optimized wall thickness. BENEFIT: Unlike traditional castings, the high-strength and ductile properties of the aluminum ablation cast members allow sections of the space-frame to progressively crush and are designed to withstand tremendous loads without breaking. * Casting technology licensed from Alotech Build-to-Order FEATURE: As Acura s first build-to-order vehicle, clients will be able to design their NSX by selecting one of eight rich exterior colors and four interior color schemes available in three different seating surface options. Clients can further customize their NSX through several exterior and interior features including three wheel designs with painted or polished finish, carbon-ceramic brake options, a carbon fiber interior sport package, carbon fiber roof and more. BENEFIT: Build-to-order allows clients to configure and order an NSX that meets their exact needs and wants. Carbon Fiber Core Floor FEATURE: In addition to its light weight properties, this floor material is strong enough to handle the loads of driver and passenger placed upon it for vehicle ingress/egress. If aluminum had been used, the aluminum sheeting would have required additional crossmember frame support beneath it, adding additional weight to the vehicle. BENEFIT: The carbon fiber core floor helps reduce overall weight and greatly enhances the vehicle s power-to-weight ratio. Door Mirrors FEATURE: The door mirrors include a thin blade arm to minimize air turbulence as air flows along the side of the vehicle. Each mirror housing includes an LED turn signal. BENEFIT: This mirror design reduces local airflow noise, prevents disruption of air flowing to the side intakes and minimizes aerodynamic drag. Factory-Installed Features FEATURE: As Acura s first build-to-order vehicle, the NSX features an extensive array of factory-installed features, or FIFs. Every client will work through his or her features during the buying process, either by using the online Configurator at home or as part of the indealership Acura Performance Console or by talking through their selections with their Sales Consultant. 2 Flush Door Handles FEATURE: Flush-mounted door handles automatically extend when approaching the vehicle with the key fob. Doors will unlock when the handle is grabbed. BENEFIT: The flush-fitting exterior door handles are both aesthetically pleasing and functional, providing a welcoming handshake with the driver/passenger as they extend outward from the door upon approach while at the same time supporting clean airflow along the body side. High-Speed Windshield Wiper System FEATURE: The wiper/washer system, engineered specifically for the NSX, has been designed to operate effectively even at maximum vehicle speeds. Tested in the wind tunnel at airflow equivalent of over 180 mph, the spoiler-shaped wiper blades generate downforce on the wiper blade, while the speed-controlled wiper motor maintains a constant wiping speed, ensuring effective wiper performance in all driving conditions. Likewise, the windshield washer system utilizes a three-nozzle system for superior coverage in all conditions and driving environments, including high-speed travel. BENEFIT: The high-speed windshield wiper system helps with visibility when driving in inclement weather. Multi-Material Spaceframe FEATURE: The NSX s multi-material body design concept extends throughout the entire body construction. The aluminum-intensive space frame uses extruded and cast parts to provide exceptional rigidity and light weight. Steel stampings have also been added to the architecture in certain areas where energy absorption is required, with supplemental aluminum stampings used where low weight is a key consideration. BENEFIT: Each material s unique characteristics help to create exterior body panels of the highest finish quality while also minimizing vehicle mass, optimizing weight distribution and center of gravity and helping to ensure outstanding longevity and durability. Paint Process FEATURE: All body panels are covered with a high-quality primer coat and, depending upon the specific color application, then receive between five and seven coats of paint. Each layer of colored paint applied to the body panels is allowed to fully cure prior to the next application. A high-quality/long-lasting clear coat is then applied. In the case of Andaro paint, there are a several additional layers of nano-particle clear coat applied throughout the process. To help minimize the potential for orange peel, which occurs when the clear coat on vertical body panels is pulled down by gravity during the curing process, the body paint fixture has hinges that allow the vertically oriented body panels doors and fenders to be rotated to a near-fully horizontal position during the curing process. Each car is then individually inspected by the paint team, and a wave-scan tool objectively measures the texture of the surface to ensure there are no imperfections even those not visible to the human eye. BENEFIT: The result is lush, layered color with translucent shine and depth for a dynamic effect that accentuates the car s architectural lines and contrasting surfaces. Engineers call this color flop, and the result is striking, fluid beauty that shifts from angle to angle. Because the NSX s exterior body panels are not attached to its space frame until the conclusion of the vehicle assembly process, body panels are treated and painted separately from the frame and are finished to an exceptional level of quality and luster by expert technicians at the Acura Performance Manufacturing Center. Signature Jewel Eye LED Headlights FEATURE: Jewel Eye LED headlights are a signature design theme found on every Acura product. Designed to complement the aggressive low and wide exterior appearance, each headlight assembly contains six individual LEDs, with the four outer LEDs in operation when using the low beam setting, and all six are at work when the high beams are activated. BENEFIT: Acura Jewel Eye LEDs provide superior down-the-road illumination with outstanding light distribution and light characteristics and a wavelength close to the human eye s luminosity curve. With their lower electrical power consumption, Jewel Eye LED headlights also have a longer operational life compared to traditional halogen or high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps Acura Page 2

3 Strategic Application of Castings FEATURE: The NSX uses the world s first automotive application of ablation casting technology* at all suspension and powertrain mounting points. Used both at front and rear, these ablation cast aluminum frame nodes serve as ultra-rigid mounting points for the suspension. Applied in key crush zones, these nodes link frame sections together and uniquely deform in a manner similar to a forged component but with lower weight, enabling shorter front and rear overhang, reduced vehicle mass and world-class collision performance. BENEFIT: Castings maximize local fitting-point stiffness and rigidity as well as provide highly accurate mounting points to maintain finely-tuned suspension geometry. * Casting technology licensed from Alotech Total Airflow Management FEATURE: The NSX aerodynamics team used a new total airflow management approach to give the NSX the superlative airflow management one expects of a next-generation supercar, while simultaneously providing the effective and highly efficient thermal management required for its hybrid power unit. There are seven different heat sources in the hybrid-based powertrain the 3.5-liter V6 engine, twin turbochargers, the 9-speed DCT, Dual Clutch system, Power Distribution Unit and Twin Motor Unit. To provide efficient cooling, airflow is managed through 10 different heat exchangers. BENEFIT: Highly innovative total airflow management developments fine-tune the various body shapes, intake and exhaust vents and vehicle strakes to reduce aerodynamic drag, create downforce, maximize cooling and efficiently exhaust unwanted heat. DYNAMIC PERFORMANCE 3.5-liter 24-valve DOHC i-vtec V-6 FEATURE: The NSX uses an all-new, twin-turbocharged, longitudinally mounted V-6 internal-combustion engine. This 3.5-liter 24-valve aluminum-alloy i-vtec V-6 internal-combustion engine produces 500 horsepower at rpm (SAE net) and 406 lb.-ft. of torque at rpm (SAE net) for exhilarating responsiveness. This engine features twin single-vane turbochargers, a forged steel crankshaft and connecting rods and dry sump lubrication with 6-rotor scavenge pump. BENEFIT: The NSX provides exhilarating performance using race-car technologies. This radical re-imagination of the engine design had profound implications for every element of the NSX design the package, cooling, aerodynamics, chassis and more. 4-Wheel Independent Suspension FEATURE: The NSX s all-aluminum, fully independent front and rear suspension system, equipped at all four corners with thirdgeneration active magnetorheological (MR) dampers, is optimized for high-strength, low unsprung weight and supercar response while maintaining a high degree of comfort and ride compliance. BENEFIT: This suspension means the driver experiences superior handling performance, crisp and communicative on-center steering feel and excellent stability. 9-Speed Dual Clutch Transmission with Direct Drive Motor FEATURE: The new 9-speed dual clutch transmission works in concert with the engine and Direct Drive Motor to make full use of the power unit s broad power band, producing lightning quick gear changes that support the NSX s response. As a key component, the 9DCT has been optimized for compact size, low mass and low CG. The 9DCT has a very wide ratio range that allows for optimal gear selection in all driving conditions. First gear ratio is configured for maximum vehicle launch acceleration, while the close-ratio gears (2nd through 8th) are perfectly matched to make the most of the power unit s power band. Conversely, high gear (9th) has been optimized for fuel efficiency during steady-state highway cruising. 4 Drivetrain Packaging FEATURE: With the newly designed twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine, special consideration was given to how the engine would be secured to the chassis in order to achieve the highest structural rigidity while producing the lowest levels of noise, vibration and harshness (NVH). The solution was to create an engine cradle system that combines hydro-engine mounts with a rigid aluminum subframe plate that simultaneously supports the engine while acting as a vibration and noise inhibitor. Engine mounts are ideally located to minimize pitch and roll movement of the powertrain mass. BENEFIT: Testing and analysis demonstrated that this novel configuration provides notably improved vehicle handling performance while exceeding targeted NVH levels. Electric Power Steering FEATURE: The NSX makes use of a dual-pinion (with rack-mounted assist motor) electric power steering (EPS) system with a variable gear ratio. When on center (such as straight line driving), the ratio remains constant and is tuned for optimal high speed control and stability. Off center (while turning or in slalom), the gear ratio becomes quicker for improved turn-in and maneuverability at low and mid speeds. This also minimizes the need for hand-over-hand motion to help drivers keep their hands on the steering wheel. Furthermore, this sophisticated steering system links the vehicle stability assist (VSA) and EPS to help detect handling instability on slippery roads and under braking for greater vehicle control and an increased safety margin when driving in adverse conditions. BENEFIT: By optimizing the mechanical components within the system, plus careful tuning of the software, the NSX delivers highly responsive steering with outstanding driver feel. High-Performance Wheels and Tires FEATURE: The standard wheel design package for the new NSX includes lightweight alloy wheels with Y -style spokes wrapped in Continental Conti-Sport Contact 5P tires (245/35ZR19 front; 305/30ZR20 rear) developed jointly with Continental. The unique Y-wheel design is a result of the NSX engineering team s extensive research to find the strongest spoke structure while using the least amount of material in order to save unsprung weight. Forged in high-strength aluminum, the result is a weight savings of nearly 7 pounds per set and lower total weight than any wheels of similar size and material composition within the NSX s segment. BENEFIT: Lightweight aluminum-alloy wheels reduce unsprung weight, helping to enhance vehicle ride and handling. Integrated Dynamics System (IDS) FEATURE: The NSX Integrated Dynamics System (IDS) provides the driver with four selectable dynamic modes Quiet, Sport, Sport+ and Track. The system integrates all of the vehicle s dynamic chassis and powertrain systems steering, brakes (mechanical and electro-servo), throttle, vehicle stability assist, magnetorheological dampers, engine, transmission and Sport Hybrid SH-AWD control systems. In addition to these dynamic system variations, IDS varies cabin sounds via Active Exhaust Valve (AEV) and new Intake Sound Control (ISC). ISC uses twin pipes with an electrically controlled valve to vary the sound being transmitted from engine air intake system to twin outlets in the rear uppermost portions of the cabin. Utilizing these technologies, IDS is able to fine-tune cabin sound quality and volume to match the dynamic character of the vehicle in Quiet, Sport, Sport+ and Track modes. Of note, there is a full 25 db volumetric sound difference between Quiet and Track modes a tremendous variance in audible sensation. Quiet Quiet mode prioritizes electric-only driving at lower speeds, maximizing energy efficiency and minimizing cabin sound. The vehicle uses the TMU for initial launch from a standstill. When power demand requires the engine, it starts more quietly than in other modes, and maximum engine speed is limited to 4,000 rpm, while the Active Exhaust and Intake Sound Control valves are closed for a more hushed operation. The transmission shift map also prioritizes lower engine speeds. The Driver Interface (tachometer and center console information display screen) features a cool and quiet blue color. Sport Sport mode takes advantage of the Sport Hybrid system to offer the driver a direct responsive vehicle or a more relaxed vehicle according to their driving inputs. Compared to Quiet Mode, it eliminates the 4,000 rpm limit on the engine and provides a more aggressive throttle map for quicker response. A more aggressive transmission shift map holds gears longer and allows higher rpm shift points. The Intake Sound Control system and the Active Exhaust Valve are activated, allowing exhaust and intake sound to permeate the cabin for a more emotional driving experience. Like the Quiet mode, sport mode provides idle stop function. The Sport setting is the default setting in normal vehicle operation Acura Page 4

5 Sport+ Sport+ prioritizes maximum drivetrain response and dynamic performance with faster up- and down-shifts of the 9DCT and still more aggressive throttle mapping. Maximum use of the electric motor torque provides more explosive acceleration. Increased agility is achieved by harmonizing a more aggressive Direct Yaw Control setting that works in concert with the magnetorheological dampers, Agile Handling Assist and the Electric Power Steering System perfect for a spirited drive on a winding road. It also offers the driver a higher degree of steering feedback, while intake and exhaust note sounds via Active Sound Control are further increased for an even more exhilarating and emotional driving experience. The TFT Meter sports an aggressive yellow con-trail along the tachometer needle supporting easy recognition of engine RPM. Red highlights for the center console information display also reinforce that the driver is in now in Sport+ mode. Track Optimized for circuit driving, Track mode invokes the most aggressive settings and parameters to deliver the fastest and most consistent lap times possible, along with maximum acceleration from a standstill when utilizing launch control mode. The braking system offers enhanced performance-oriented pedal feel. Up/down gearshift execution of the DCT and performance of the Super Hybrid SH-AWD and active driver aids (VSA, AHA) are programmed to support circuit limit driving, and an even greater amount of engine intake sound permeates the cabin for a more heightened and emotional driving experience offering enhanced driver feedback even when wearing a helmet. This setting also prioritizes the lithium-ion battery state-of-charge to maintain a consistent level of torque delivery and direct yaw moment from the three electric motors to ensure consistent dynamic response and lap times. Of note, the VSA operation is progressively loosened from the IDS Quiet mode up to Track mode, enabling a progressively higher degree of freedom for the driver in exploring the dynamic capabilities of the NSX. In Track mode, the VSA system can also be completely disabled by the driver. BENEFIT: The NSX IDS system has the world s first custom setting menu that allows the driver to configure the vehicle s mode during startup. For example, drivers can program the car to always start in Quiet or Sport mode, along with the ability to schedule the NSX to operate exclusively in Quiet mode during any specified time period, such as the early morning to avoid waking the neighborhood. Next-Generation Super Sports Brakes FEATURE: The high-performance Brembo braking system features large, six-piston calipers with 14.6-inch, two-piece iron and aluminum ventilated brake rotors up front and four-piston calipers with 14.2-inch, two-piece iron and aluminum ventilated rotors at the rear. All calipers are of an aluminum mono block design, which provides even pressure distribution across the surface of the brake rotor with outstanding heat dissipation and excellent rigidity. The two-piece iron and aluminum rotors provide consistent brake pad-to-rotor surface contact with high heat capacity and cooling efficiency. Additionally, this two-piece rotor configuration allows for much greater thermal expansion compared to a one-piece design. Ultra high-performance carbon ceramic brake rotors are available as a factory-installed option. BENEFIT: Seamlessly integrating both mechanical (friction) and electric-servo (regenerative) brake systems, the NSX provides powerful, precise and natural brake performance in almost any driving condition. Twin Motor Unit (TMU) FEATURE: The exceptional direct and linear acceleration and dynamic response of the new NSX is enabled in part by its front-mounted Twin Motor Unit (TMU). It is a major driving force in creating the vehicle s superlative acceleration, can directly generate a yaw moment to support turning and recovers braking energy during deceleration. BENEFIT: The TMU provides instant torque as well as AWD traction, allowing direct and stress free launches from start. Twin Turbochargers FEATURE: Making use of an electronic wastegate for each turbocharger for faster response as well as more precisely varying vane positioning, the single-scroll turbocharger design allows for the use of smaller turbos to reduce weight and improve packaging, while still meeting power and performance benchmarks. Furthermore, their single-scroll design allows for more efficient collection of exhaust as it escapes from within the cylinders. 6 DRIVER-ORIENTED COCKPIT Driver-Oriented Cockpit FEATURE: Controls for the systems used most frequently audio, cruise control, Bluetooth HandsFreeLink 1, available satellite-linked Acura Navigation System 2 with Voice Recognition and Multi-Information Display (MID) are conveniently positioned on the steering wheel. Typical of Acura interior design, the soft-touch switchgear is engineered to deliver a quality feel and positive action. Materials such as leather and Alcantara were carefully selected for the perfect combination of luxury comfort and dynamic driving support (such as lateral grip). Likewise, the center console/controls designated as the Simple Sports Interface have been designed to minimize the potential for distractions from the most important function driving. BENEFIT: The driver-oriented cockpit offers abundant convenience without sacrificing comfort. Exceptional Craftsmanship and Fine Materials FEATURE: The NSX presents a remarkable degree of fine craftsmanship in each surface, seam and joint and every switch, button and control feels remarkably precise. A complementary and essential component of the NSX s New Sports experience is its drivercentered interior design, where every element materials, shapes, technology and layout are optimized to enhance the driving experience. Artfully sculpted and ergonomic seats are enhanced with supportive yet comfortable bolstering, firmly yet comfortably supporting the driver and passenger and clarifying the driving experience. Strategically placed console and door padding further elevate the driver and passenger lateral support. Sport Seats FEATURE: Stylish as well as structurally rigid and lightweight, the seats in the NSX have been designed to offer superlative comfort and support. Alcantara is placed in the center section of the seat to increase lateral grip, while smoother leather is applied on the bolsters to allow freedom of torso rotation during cornering as well as ease of ingress and egress. ENGAGING COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE Acura/ELS Studio Premium Audio System (Technology Package) FEATURE: The Acura/ELS Studio 3 Premium Audio System truly rivals premium aftermarket systems for clarity, power and detail. This system can play program material from a wide range of sources. It plays conventional CDs, discs encoded with MP3 or WMA files and DVD-audio discs. With hundreds of times the resolution of a normal CD, DVD-audio allows for an astounding dynamic range and clarity. There is also an auxiliary mini-jack for use with an external MP3 player and a USB Audio Interface 4 for the connection of an ipod 5 or compatible MP3 player. The system is also available with Sirius XM Radio 6. BENEFIT: The Acura/ELS Studio Premium Audio System provides a true sound quality experience rivaling high-end home audio systems for extraordinary audio entertainment. If your client s primary motivation is quality, explain that Acura s audio systems are highend systems that will bring them hours of listening enjoyment. AcuraLink Next Generation (Technology Package) FEATURE: AcuraLink 7 is Acura s cloud-based connected car system that uses embedded cellular technology, along with the driver s compatible smartphone and data package, to offer a broad range of convenience, media and available security features. AcuraLink provides three available levels of services. The Standard Package is free for the first four years of ownership and includes features such as street and freeway traffic information. The Connect Package is free for the first 90 days and adds a wide range of capabilities (using the embedded phone link), including automated crash notification and an in-vehicle assist system that allows you to speak point of interest destinations and addresses and sends the directions directly to the navigation system Acura Page 6

7 The Premium Package is also free for the first 90 days and adds Live Concierge operator assistance via the vehicle s embedded cell phone. The Concierge service can send destination information directly to the vehicle s navigation system, make reservations on your behalf and update you on weather, stocks and much more. All packages, including the free Standard Package, require enrollment in AcuraLink. Enrollment can be accomplished by either pressing the Link button, dialing or via the in, in the AcuraLink menu. Acura Navigation System with 3D View (Technology Package) FEATURE: The system can be controlled by voice or with the convenient interface dial. The system includes surface-street traffic data and provides coverage in many areas within the U.S., allowing the driver to choose faster, less-congested routes. The navigation screen can display regularly updated traffic information, including traffic flow, incidents and construction on freeways and on surface streets. Go to the map screen to show clients how easy it is to find destinations, such as Find nearest Italian restaurant. BENEFIT: The system provides the confidence and freedom to go just about anywhere while helping drivers reduce potential distractions and get to a desired destination more quickly. Plus, embedded navigation operates even in areas where smartphones may not have reception. Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control System FEATURE: The NSX features a dual-zone climate control system that automatically maintains the desired temperature settings. The dualzone function allows the driver and front passenger to control their individual temperature settings. Technology and Advance Package models use the GPS navigation system to continuously update vehicle-position information that determines the position of the sun relative to the driver and passenger. The climate control system automatically adjusts the temperature and airflow from side to side as needed to compensate for asymmetrical solar heating. BENEFIT: The driver and passenger can choose their own separate settings for optimum comfort and you don t have to constantly adjust the controls to maintain those settings. Multi-Information Display (MID) FEATURE: The Multi-Information Display (MID) is positioned for easy viewing and recognition. Controls positioned on the right side of the steering wheel allow the driver to cycle the MID through multiple screens of information. BENEFIT: The centrally-located MID provides an array of helpful information at a glance for greater ease of operation. Smart Entry with Pushbutton Start FEATURE: Smart Entry with pushbutton start allows the doors to be locked/unlocked and the engine started without having to remove the remote from your pocket or purse. BENEFIT: Smart Entry with pushbutton start adds convenience by eliminating the need to physically unlock the doors or hatch with a key or remote, or start the vehicle with a key. ENHANCED DRIVER-ASSIST AND SAFETY PERFORMANCE 3-Dimensional Bent and Quenched Ultra-High-Strength A-Pillar FEATURE: For the A-pillars, new advancements in ultra-high-strength steel parts forming provided a perfect solution that met the engineering team s goals for safety performance while maximizing forward visibility for the driver by reducing the A-pillar width. The NSX A-pillars have been precisely crafted using an all-new, three-dimensional forming and tempering process that allows for a complex parts shape with ultra-high tensile strength. This 3D bent and quenched component is heated and then robotically bent. During the bending process the part is cooled and tempered (quenched) using water jets. BENEFIT: This process enables a very small section A-pillar with precise shape specification and tolerances, yet meets the increased structural rigidity for roof-crush performance requirements. Advanced Airbag System (SRS) FEATURE: The advanced airbag system 8 uses weight sensors in the passenger seat and a position sensor for the driver seat as elements in determining the manner of deployment for the driver s and front passenger s front airbags. Hill Start Assist FEATURE: Hill start assist offers drivers additional convenience when starting to drive uphill or downhill. It will hold the brake pressure when stopped on an incline or descent for a brief period of time, allowing the driver s foot to move from the brake pedal to the accelerator without having the vehicle start to move backward. BENEFIT: Hill start assist enhances confidence by allowing the driver to make smooth, sure takeoffs when driving in hilly terrain. Multi-View Rear Camera with Dynamic Guidelines FEATURE: The multi-view rear camera 9 helps enhance visibility when backing out of a parking space or driveway. When the transmission is placed in Reverse gear, the rear camera image appears on the screen. In addition to the Normal view, with 130 degrees of rearward visibility, the driver can select Wide view, with 175 degrees of rearward visibility, or a Top-Down view of the parking area. To make it easier for the driver to judge distances, yellow on-screen guidelines indicate the vehicle s width, along with distances of approximately 3, 6 and 9 feet from the rear of the vehicle. Dynamic guidelines make it easier to maneuver in and out of parking spots with greater confidence. BENEFIT: Drivers can see a wider area behind them, enhancing both confidence and convenience when backing up. The multi-view rear camera offers numerous innovations and special features. Make sure to review them with clients, demonstrate how the system functions and then let clients practice. Parking Sensors (Technology Package) FEATURE: Front and rear parking sensors use ultrasonic-wave technology to detect obstacles. If an object is detected, the system will sound an audible alert and can display a warning icon in the Multi-Information Display (MID). The alert varies depending on how far away the object is from the vehicle. The system begins with slow, intermittent beeps when an object is first detected at a distance and progresses to quick intermittent beeps as the vehicle gets closer to the object. The system will sound a continuous beep when the object is very near and within a few inches of the vehicle. BENEFIT: Parking sensors help give drivers improved confidence when maneuvering in tight spaces. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) FEATURE: Located in the Multi-Information Display (MID), the TPMS 10 graphic indicates the pressure in all four tires on a real-time basis. A TPMS icon illuminates to alert the driver whenever any of the tires has a significantly low-pressure reading that requires the driver s attention. BENEFIT: TPMS helps the driver maintain proper air pressure to improve driving safety and fuel efficiency 11, as well as reduce wear and tear on the vehicle s tires. Tire Sealant and Inflator Kit FEATURE: The tire sealant and inflator kit provides an auxiliary air or tire sealant to fill or repair a small (no larger than 3/16 inch/4mm) tire puncture on the tread, not the sidewall. The kit contains a 12-volt compressor, an air pressure gauge and tire sealant in a compact, lightweight package. Two hoses are available, one for air only and one for air and sealant.
