4 Intelligent Thinking All Carens models are available with Kia s advanced EcoDynamics tech - nology. This fuel-stretching Intelligent Stop and Go (ISG) technology can help save up to 12% more fuel and reduce your carbon footprint simply by cutting the vehicle s engine off whenever the car is stationary. When you come to a stop, select neutral and remove your foot from the clutch and the engine will switch off automatically. When you are ready to move off again, simply press the clutch and the engine will re-start instantly. All elements work together to create what we call EcoDynamics. That s because they ve been designed with the utmost comfort in mind. 10-way power adjustable driver s seat ( 3 upwards) The backrest of the driver s seat features additional electric-powered lumbar support to ensure maximum comfort and minimal fatigue on longer journeys. The 10-way power driver seat can also be electronically adjusted to the ideal driving position. Spacious cargo area The outer 2nd row seats feature a walk-in device to ensure easy access to the 3rd row seats. With both the 2nd and 3rd row seats folded flat, the new Kia Carens provides ample loading capacity of up to 1,650 litres. An audible signal that increases in intensity as your vehicle gets closer to an object helps you park with ease. VSM (Vehicle Stability Management) VSM works in conjunction with Motor Driven Power Steering to ensure the car stays stable when simultaneously braking and cornering, especially on wet, slippery and rough roads. 12 HAC Hill-start Assist Control By maintaining brake grip until you accelerate, HAC prevents the vehicle from rolling backwards when starting on a steep hill. ESC (Electronic Stability Control) If you have to brake suddenly, ESC applies the correct amount of brake pressure to each individual wheel. It also reduces engine power to help you maintain control and bring your new Carens back on course. Cornering lights When you turn the steering wheel, an additional light is switched on to shine more light in corners at night. VSM (Vehicle Stability Management) VSM works in conjunction with Motor Driven Power Steering to ensure the car stays stable when simultaneously braking and cornering, especially on wet, slippery and rough roads. BAS (Brake Assist System) BAS detects emergency braking depending on how quickly you step on the brake pedal. It instantly applies full braking force, which helps shorten the overall braking distance.
