2 WHAT S NEW Mobile Applications Chevrolet s in-vehicle technologies are constantly evolving to meet customers increasing demands for personal connectivity and confidence on the road. For the 2017MY, new technologies are debuting on select Chevrolet vehicles to help keep customers more in touch and in control than ever before. For the 2017MY, Chevrolet MyLink will offer customers an enhanced system on select models offering an array of new features and benefits. The most notable new feature is the available ability to download apps directly to the infotainment system through a SHOP icon. Shop lets customers bring their digital life into their vehicle by making it simple to download popular apps to their Chevrolet vehicle. Think of it as a catalog application that gets updated regularly with more and more of the third-party apps they depend on. The apps have been carefully selected in order to provide a relevant and seamless in-vehicle experience. HOW TO USE SHOP ¼ ¼ Shop is available for select Chevrolet vehicles from the MyLink TM home screen by selecting the SHOP icon ¼ ¼ Connect the vehicle to Wi-Fi 13 through the OnStar 14 Wi-Fi hotspot or through a hotspot established using a brought-in device (3GB/3-month trial; whichever comes first) ¼ ¼ The first time your customer selects the SHOP icon, they will be walked through the process of setting up an account, accepting the Terms and Conditions and a Privacy Statement ¼ ¼ Then select the Browse tab in Shop to view the available apps The Weather Channel 15 helps them plan the best drive possible, with accurate weather forecasts and localized radar maps Audiobooks.com 15 opens the door to a wealth of audio books that will take them from A to Z (coming soon) * Pandora lets customers customize radio stations just the way they want them pick an artist, a genre, a song and Pandora builds a station that they can finetune by voting thumbs up or thumbs down on songs (coming soon) * Glympse 15 lets customers share their location with friends and family; tell someone how to find them while tailgating; check their teen s location; let a colleague know how close they are to a meeting location iheartradio 15 lets them listen to radio stations from around the U.S., plus podcasts. 8 Front Pedestrian Braking Rear Camera Mirror Surround Vision Mobile Applications FRONT PEDESTRIAN BRAKING WHAT IS IT? In some emergency front-end collision situations, the available Front Pedestrian Braking feature may help reduce injury or avoid the collision with pedestrians by applying the brakes automatically or enhancing the driver s braking. HOW TO USE FRONT PEDESTRIAN BRAKING This feature uses a forward-looking camera ¼ ¼ When in FORWARD gear, this sensor looks directly ahead to detect nearby pedestrians ¼ ¼ When a pedestrian is detected ahead, an amber icon is displayed ¼ ¼ If the system detects that the vehicle is seconds away from a possible collision with a pedestrian directly ahead, it sends an alert ¼ ¼ If the driver doesn t respond quickly or the situation happens suddenly, the Front Pedestrian Braking feature will enhance the driver s braking or automatically apply the brakes; on some vehicles, the brake pedal moves when automatic braking occurs ¼ ¼ The driver can override automatic braking at any time by pressing the accelerator or the brake pedal. If the system slows the vehicle to a complete stop, the driver can release the brakes with the ELECTRONIC PARK button ¼ ¼ Front Pedestrian Braking can be turned off through the vehicle menu setting ¼ ¼ The system works in FORWARD gear and operates between 5 and 50 miles per hour (8 and 80 kilometers per hour). During the daytime, it can detect pedestrians up to 131 feet (or 40 m). 9 REAR CAMERA MIRROR WHAT IS IT? This available innovative rearview mirror technology projects a wide-angle view of the area behind the vehicle in the inside rearview mirror. The mirror surface doubles as a video screen and provides the driver with a full, high-resolution view, without the obstruction of rear head restraints or rear-seat passengers. So drivers can make sure there s nothing behind them but a clear view. Front Pedestrian Braking Rear Camera Mirror Surround Vision Mobile Applications HOW THE REAR CAMERA MIRROR WORKS ¼ ¼ Simply pull the tab under the inside rearview mirror forward (toward the driver) in order to switch to Rear Camera Mirror view ¼ ¼ Rear Camera Mirror brightness can be adjusted by pressing the button on the back of the rearview mirror without covering the light sensor ¼ ¼ Objects may be closer to vehicle than they appear in the image ¼ ¼ To disengage the Rear Camera Mirror, push the tab under the inside rearview mirror rearward (away from the driver) CUSTOMER BENEFIT ¼ ¼ It gives drivers a wider, less obstructed field of view to assist them when changing lanes or doing rear maneuvers 2017MY CHEVROLET AVAILABILITY Bolt EV Some features unavailable on certain model trim levels. 10 Front Pedestrian Braking Rear Camera Mirror Surround Vision Mobile Applications SURROUND VISION WHAT IS IT? Available Surround Vision provides drivers with an overhead bird s eye view of the scene around their vehicle on the vehicle display. It helps them park and avoid nearby objects during low-speed maneuvering. HOW TO USE SURROUND VISION ¼ ¼ When in REVERSE, Surround Vision displays the Rear Vision Camera view next to the overhead view ¼ ¼ After shifting out of REVERSE, the system displays the front camera view next to the overhead view ¼ ¼ Drivers can manually display the front camera view by selecting the Camera Application icon from the infotainment home screen ¼ ¼ The Surround Vision image is removed when your vehicle speed exceeds 5 miles per hour (8 kilometers per hour) ¼ ¼ To disable Surround Vision, deselect it using the Camera Application icon on the infotainment home screen CUSTOMER BENEFIT ¼ ¼ Surround Vision supplements direct vision and what customers can see in their mirrors. 11 Electronic Precision Shift Enhanced Rear-Seat Entertainment ELECTRONIC PRECISION SHIFT WHAT IS IT? Electronic Precision Shift is a technologically advanced feature that allows customers to use a console-mounted lever to shift gears electronically, replacing the traditional shifter that uses a mechanical connection. Known in the industry as shift by wire, Electronic Precision Shift has become prominent among traditional luxury competitors. HOW TO USE ELECTRONIC PRECISION SHIFT ¼ ¼ The SHIFT INTERLOCK button on the side of the shifter must be pressed to shift gears ¼ ¼ The shift pattern for Electronic Precision Shift is shown on the shift lever, with PARK as a dedicated button at the top of the lever ¼ ¼ Electronic Precision Shift cannot be disabled; it is an option ¼ ¼ How to shift: Rear Seat Reminder Teen Driver Mobile Applications Press P P To shift from PARK to REVERSE, place foot on the brake pedal, press and hold the side SHIFT INTERLOCK button, push the shifter forward, then left toward R Press P P To shift from PARK to DRIVE, place foot on the brake pedal, press and hold the side SHIFT INTERLOCK button and pull the shifter toward D P To shift into PARK, place foot on the brake pedal to come to a full stop, then press the P button P P P To toggle between DRIVE and MANUAL (if the vehicle is equipped with this feature), while in DRIVE, pull the shifter rearward to shift to M (In MANUAL, you actively shift drive gears using the paddles on the steering wheel.); to return to DRIVE, pull the shifter rearward again to return to D 11

12 Electronic Precision Shift Enhanced Rear-Seat Entertainment Rear Seat Reminder Teen Driver Mobile Applications ELECTRONIC PRECISION SHIFT (CONTINUED) HOW TO USE ELECTRONIC PRECISION SHIFT IN A CAR WASH ¼ ¼ In an automated car wash in which the customer exits the vehicle during the wash: With the engine running, place foot on the brake pedal While the driver's door is open and the brake pedal is pressed, shift to NEUTRAL ( N ) by moving the lever forward and holding it for approximately one to two seconds The indicator should show N. If it does not, select NEUTRAL again Then the driver may unbuckle their safety belt and exit the vehicle Upon returning to the vehicle, the driver should shift into PARK or DRIVE ¼ ¼ To allow the vehicle to pass through an automated car wash while customer remains in the vehicle: With the engine running, shift to NEUTRAL, moving the lever forward and holding it for one to two seconds The indicator should show N. If it does not, select NEUTRAL again The vehicle will remain in Neutral until customer selects a different gear NOTE: If a driver opens the door to exit the vehicle in a car wash AFTER engaging NEUTRAL, PARK may automatically engage. They should then open the door before selecting NEUTRAL. If they need to shut the engine OFF, they should refer to their vehicle's Owner s Manual. 13 ENHANCED REAR-SEAT ENTERTAINMENT OVERVIEW The available Rear-Seat Entertainment system allows rear-seat passengers to watch DVDs, Blu-ray discs or media from USB or HDMI-MHL, or to listen to audio from disc, USB or radio tuner. Wireless headphones provide optimum audio to the listeners without distracting others in the vehicle. Electronic Precision Shift Enhanced Rear-Seat Entertainment Rear Seat Reminder Teen Driver Mobile Applications HOW TO USE THE REAR-SEAT ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM ¼ ¼ To move the Rear-Seat Entertainment screen into viewing position, press the RELEASE button; do not pull on the sides of the screen Remove the remote control from its storage location ¼ ¼ Use the remote to select a source from the menu shown on the screen; sources include AM, FM, SiriusXM 17 Satellite Radio (if vehicle is equipped and has an active subscription), HDMI-MHL, CD/DVD, Blu-ray and USB ¼ ¼ Each source has its own menu: press the MENU button on the remote control once to display the menu ¼ ¼ Each screen may have the same or a different source, but only one tuner (AM/FM radio) source may be active at a time ¼ ¼ When a Blu-ray disc is in the player, press the MEDIA button on the remote control and then select Blu-ray ¼ ¼ When customers store the remote control, they can place it in the storage area with the buttons facing them ¼ ¼ For detailed information on using the Rear-Seat Entertainment system, refer to the vehicle s Manual CUSTOMER BENEFITS ¼ ¼ Customers and their passengers can enjoy different entertainment while on the road ¼ ¼ Rear-seat passengers can enjoy video entertainment or video games ¼ ¼ Children in the rear seat can be entertained with their favorite music and videos 17 If you subscribe after your trial period, subscriptions are continuous until you call SiriusXM to cancel. 14 Electronic Precision Shift Enhanced Rear-Seat Entertainment Rear Seat Reminder Teen Driver Mobile Applications REAR SEAT REMINDER WHAT IS IT? The Rear Seat Reminder feature is a simple notice intended to do just what the name implies: Remind customers to look in the rear seat before exiting their vehicle. HOW TO USE REAR SEAT REMINDER ¼ ¼ The reminder is intended to activate when a second-row door (not including the liftgate/hatch) is opened while the vehicle is turned ON or up to 10 minutes before the vehicle is turned ON. Under these circumstances, when the vehicle is then turned OFF, the feature triggers the reminder ¼ ¼ The reminder consists of five audible chimes, accompanied by a message in the Driver Information Center (DIC) that reads, Rear Seat Reminder Look in Rear Seat ¼ ¼ The feature is active only once each ignition cycle and requires reactivation on a second trip. For example, if customers load their dog into the second row through a rear door, start the vehicle and then stop for a rest break, the Rear Seat Reminder will remind them to Look in Rear Seat when the vehicle is turned OFF. If the vehicle were turned back ON and their dog remained in the vehicle (without use of the second-row door), the Rear Seat Reminder would not activate for this second trip, and there would not be a reminder when the vehicle was subsequently turned OFF ¼ ¼ The Rear Seat Reminder feature is ON by default from the factory on all models equipped with this feature ¼ ¼ To turn this feature OFF, select Settings from the menu on the infotainment screen and select Rear Sear Reminder and Off CUSTOMER BENEFIT ¼ ¼ Helps remind customers when they may have left something in the rear of the vehicle (e.g., a pet, child, bag or other object) though it does not actually detect objects, people or pets in the vehicle. Instead, under certain conditions, it detects when a rear door is opened and closed during or just before a trip, indicating that there may be something in the rear seat, and reminds the driver to look in the rear seat when the vehicle is turned OFF. 15 TEEN DRIVER WHAT IS IT? Teen Driver can help encourage safer driving habits and can be used as a coaching tool to help create dialogue between parents and teens. It is an available feature on select Chevrolet vehicles when equipped with Chevrolet MyLink that lets customers program their key fobs with customizable settings that can limit certain vehicle features. It can also prevent certain active safety systems from being turned OFF in order to help encourage safe driving behavior. An in-vehicle Report Card gives customers information on their teen s driving habits and helps them to continue to coach their new driver. Electronic Precision Shift Enhanced Rear-Seat Entertainment Rear Seat Reminder Teen Driver Mobile Applications HOW TO USE TEEN DRIVER A PIN is required to register key fobs, change Teen Driver settings or access/delete Report Card data. A maximum of eight vehicle keys or key fobs can be registered as Teen Driver keys. To activate Teen Driver, register a key fob using the steps below: ¼ ¼ While the vehicle is in PARK, select Teen Driver from the vehicle s Settings menu ¼ ¼ Create a four-digit PIN or, if one is already created, enter the PIN ¼ ¼ Select Key Registration and follow the on-screen prompts (If the vehicle is equipped with Keyless Open and Start, place the key fob in the Transmitter Pocket.) ¼ ¼ Label the Teen Driver key(s) so it/they can be identified in the future Once a Teen Driver key fob has been registered, customers can configure settings and view an on-screen Report Card. Some settings are non-configurable, meaning that if Teen Driver is enabled, these settings will always be active, while others can be customized or turned ON/OFF. Teen Driver will be automatically activated any time the vehicle is started with the registered key fob. On PEPS - equipped vehicles, if a non-teen Driver key fob is detected in the vehicle at start-up, the Teen Driver settings will not be activated, even if a Teen Driver key fob is also detected. It s part of an effort to empower customers by giving them the ability to unlock their vehicle s full potential from the palm of their hand. The new app creates one destination where customers can manage many of their vehicle s features and accounts all from their smartphone. It integrates the OnStar RemoteLink 18 mobile app features with an all-new mychevrolet mobile app. Plus, the new mobile app is aligned with the redesigned Chevrolet Owner Center for a seamless customer experience. Now, customers can manage multiple Chevrolet vehicles using only one mobile app with one user profile and login. 21 Bluetooth Pairing Navigation Phone Integration Vocie Reocgintion NAVIGATION OVERVIEW The available embedded Navigation system (different from OnStar Navigation) enables customers to get driving directions to addresses, intersections or Points of Interest (POIs). Recent destinations and destinations listed under Contacts are also available. The driving directions are shown on the infotainment screen and are accompanied by voice prompts, which may be muted. Customers may use Voice Recognition to control many Navigation features. Some Navigation features can be customized to the preferences of one driver. HOW TO USE NAVIGATION To begin a Navigation session, the customer presses the NAVIGATION icon on the home page or in the applications tray. Phone Integration works with CarPlay on select Chevrolet MyLink infotainment systems to display certain apps and functionality from an iphone on the infotainment screen. Customers can control those apps and functions via Chevrolet MyLink's touch-screen or use Siri to control the app by voice commands. Key features of CarPlay include: ¼ ¼ Maps: The power and simplicity of Apple Maps, complete with turn-by-turn directions, traffic conditions and estimated travel time Messages: Siri can send, read, and reply to text messages for customers so they never have to look at their iphone while driving Phone: Siri can make calls, return missed calls and listen to voic Music: Access artists, songs, playlists, Apple Music and itunes Radio using Chevrolet MyLink or Siri ¼ ¼ Third-Party Apps: CarPlay supports other apps on the iphone, such as apps for enjoying podcasts, music and radio. Voice Recognition can be used to control the radio, media playback, Bluetooth-connected phones, Navigation (if equipped) and weather information (if equipped). HOW TO USE VOICE RECOGNITION Bluetooth Pairing Navigation Phone Integration Vocie Reocgintion Voice Recognition works for connected Bluetooth devices, contacts listed in a connected Bluetooth device s phone book and audio on a connected USB device, as well as the embedded Navigation system (if equipped) and weather information (if equipped). You don t have to memorize commands to use Voice Recognition. Chevrolet MyLink allows customers to tell it what they want in everyday language. The system may recognize partial names as well. For example: I want to call Vanessa at work I want to listen to the blues Play the [Album Title] Play "Beethoven" To begin a Voice Recognition session: ¼ ¼ Press the PUSH-TO-TALK button on the steering wheel ¼ ¼ The audio system mutes and the system plays a prompt followed by a beep Then, simply speak a command Voice Recognition supports two driver-selectable voiceprompt modes. Customers may select a mode in Chevrolet MyLink through vehicle Settings," then Voice and Prompt Length : ¼ ¼ Long Verbal Prompts: These prompts provide more information and will provide instruction on how to use and how to speak to the system for a given task ¼ ¼ Short Prompts: These prompts provide simple instructions for shorter interactions. This mode is recommended for users who have a good knowledge of how the system works To play audio, customers only have to tell the system what they want to hear. The system will automatically search the radio, as well as audio on a USB-connected device. For example, if they say, I want to listen to the [Album Title], the system will find the album on their USB-connected devices. The system will recognize SiriusXM stations (if equipped) by both their number and the station name. The Voice Recognition system can provide customers help with Voice Recognition if they say, Help. The Help command will show them a list of help topics for the application. 27 ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL OVERVIEW Available Adaptive Cruise Control, which requires your customer s vehicle to also have the Forward Collision Alert feature, enhances regular cruise control to allow drivers to automatically follow the vehicle ahead at a selected gap time while the driver steers. This conveniently reduces the need to frequently brake and accelerate. Adaptive Cruise Control and Full-Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control Automatic Parking Assist Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking HOW TO USE AVAILABLE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL ¼ ¼ Adaptive Cruise Control uses a forward-looking camera, radar or both camera and radar sensors, depending on how the vehicle is equipped. These sensors look directly ahead to monitor vehicles that drivers are following ¼ ¼ Just like regular cruise control, Adaptive Cruise Control uses ON, OFF, SET and RESUME buttons on the steering wheel. When the system is turned ON, a white icon is displayed ¼ ¼ Unlike regular cruise control, Adaptive Cruise Control features a FOLLOWING GAP button (also used for Forward Collision Alert) on the steering wheel to let drivers select either a far, medium or near following time between their vehicle and a vehicle ahead For each setting, your vehicle will follow at different distances Keep in mind that the vehicle follows at a longer distance when traveling at higher speeds than it does at lower speeds ¼ ¼ If a vehicle is not detected, Adaptive Cruise Control works just like regular cruise control ¼ ¼ To choose a cruise speed when no vehicle is detected ahead, press the SET button, which changes the white icon to green ¼ ¼ When a vehicle is detected ahead in the driving lane, a green icon is displayed Safety features are no substitute for the driver s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings and road conditions at all times. 28 Adaptive Cruise Control and Full-Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control Automatic Parking Assist Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking FULL-SPEED RANGE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL OVERVIEW Like available Adaptive Cruise Control, available Full-Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control also requires your customer s vehicle to have the Forward Collision Alert feature. Full-Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control allows them to automatically follow the vehicle ahead at a selected gap time while steering. But unlike regular Adaptive Cruise Control, Full-Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control can even follow a vehicle ahead to a stop. When the vehicle ahead starts driving again, they can continue to automatically follow by pressing the accelerator or RESUME button. If a driver does not respond soon after this occurs, the display will flash and beeps will sound, or, if equipped, the Safety Alert Seat will pulse to remind them to check traffic ahead before proceeding. HOW TO USE FULL-SPEED RANGE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL ¼ ¼ If the Full-Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control system is controlling speed and detects that the vehicle may be about to collide with the vehicle it is following, such as when vehicles ahead suddenly slow or stop, customers will receive a Forward Collision Alert to warn them to quickly take control of the vehicle ¼ ¼ The Full-Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control system can only apply limited braking; complete attention is always required while driving ¼ ¼ The system may not react to parked, stopped or slow-moving vehicles; drivers should always be ready to take action and apply the brakes ¼ ¼ Do not use the Full-Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control system on winding or hilly roads, on freeway exit or entrance ramps or when trailering. 29 AUTOMATIC PARKING ASSIST OVERVIEW Available Automatic Parking Assist automatically searches for and steers your customer s vehicle into an available parallel or perpendicular parking spot. They must always remember to take their hands off the wheel while the system is automatically steering and to operate the brakes; Automatic Parking Assist will not brake the vehicle. Adaptive Cruise Control and Full-Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control Automatic Parking Assist Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking HOW TO USE AUTOMATIC PARKING ASSIST ¼ ¼ The feature uses multiple ultrasonic sensors; at low speeds, the front-side sensors are used to search for possible parking spots ¼ ¼ To begin searching for a parking spot, press the AUTOMATIC PARKING ASSIST button; to cancel the search, press the button again ¼ ¼ To switch between parking sides (e.g., to look for a parking space on the other side of the lane in a parking lot), activate the turn signal or, if available, use the center-stack selection to switch sides ¼ ¼ To switch between parallel and perpendicular parking modes during the search process, press and hold the AUTOMATIC PARKING ASSIST button or, if available, use the center-stack selection to switch parking modes ¼ ¼ After the vehicle has passed a sufficiently large spot, an audible beep will occur and the system display will notify the driver when to stop ¼ ¼ When instructed, shift to REVERSE and take hands off the vibrating steering wheel; then release the brakes to allow the vehicle to begin parking; a progress arrow displays the status of the parking maneuver ¼ ¼ The driver must brake the vehicle at the end of each parking motion and manually change gears when instructed ¼ ¼ They should also be prepared to accelerate and brake as needed to avoid vehicles, pedestrians or other objects ¼ ¼ When changing gears, the driver should allow the automatic steering to complete before continuing the parking maneuver ¼ ¼ When Automatic Parking Assist is done, the system will inform them by displaying a message and beeping, and automatic steering will end; the driver should then shift into PARK ¼ ¼ If additional maneuvers are required, the system will display instructions to follow in the system display ¼ ¼ Automatic Parking Assist cannot detect objects that are high off the ground, such as flatbed trucks, or objects below ground level, such as potholes ¼ ¼ To disable Automatic Parking Assist, press the AUTOMATIC PARKING ASSIST button CUSTOMER BENEFIT ¼ ¼ Helps customers locate and automatically maneuver into parking spaces Safety features are no substitute for the driver s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. HOW TO USE LANE KEEP ASSIST WITH LANE DEPARTURE WARNING ¼ ¼ This feature uses a forward-looking camera ¼ ¼ When the vehicle is in FORWARD gear and traveling above 37 miles per hour (or 60 kilometers per hour), this sensor looks directly ahead to detect lane lines ¼ ¼ When a left or right lane marking is detected, a green icon is displayed ¼ ¼ If the driver lets their vehicle drift over a detected lane marking without intentionally steering or using their turn signal, this icon turns amber, and the system is designed to provide brief steering wheel inputs to help guide the driver back into their lane. This can be easily overridden with normal steering ¼ ¼ If lane drifting still occurs, the Lane Departure Warning system will flash the amber icon; in addition, front beeps are sounded in the direction of the lane drift, or, if equipped, the Safety Alert Seat pulses on the left or right side The system does not continuously steer the vehicle ¼ ¼ If Lane Keep Assist does not detect active driver steering, an alert and chime may be provided ¼ ¼ To turn the feature OFF, press the Lane Keep Assist button on the steering wheel CUSTOMER BENEFIT ¼ ¼ Can help drivers avoid crashes due to unintentionally drifting out of their lane Safety features are no substitute for the driver s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. 31 LOW-SPEED FORWARD AUTOMATIC BRAKING OVERVIEW In some emergency low-speed front-end collision situations, the available Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking feature can help reduce crash severity or even help avoid it by: (i) applying the brakes automatically if the driver has not already done so, or (ii) enhancing the driver s braking. Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking requires available Forward Collision Alert. Adaptive Cruise Control and Full-Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control Automatic Parking Assist Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking HOW TO USE LOW-SPEED FORWARD AUTOMATIC BRAKING ¼ ¼ The Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking system works in FORWARD gear and operates between 5 and 37 miles per hour (or between 8 and 60 kilometers per hour). On some vehicles, it may operate up to 50 miles per hour (or 80 kilometers per hour) ¼ ¼ The feature uses a forward-looking camera; when in FORWARD gear, this sensor looks directly ahead to monitor vehicles the driver is following ¼ ¼ When a vehicle is detected ahead, a green icon is displayed ¼ ¼ If the system detects that the driver is seconds away from a possible front-end collision with the vehicle they are following, it sends an alert ¼ ¼ If the driver doesn t respond quickly or the situation happens suddenly, the Forward Automatic Braking feature is designed to enhance the driver s braking or automatically apply the brakes; on some vehicles, the brake pedal moves when automatic braking occurs ¼ ¼ Drivers can override automatic braking at any time by pressing the accelerator or applying the brakes. If the system slows the vehicle to a complete stop, the driver can release the brakes with the ELECTRONIC PARK button ¼ ¼ This feature can be turned OFF through the Vehicle Settings menu CUSTOMER BENEFITS ¼ ¼ Assists the driver in certain situations by: (i) automatically applying the brakes if the driver has not done so already, or (ii) enhancing the driver s braking ¼ ¼ The system is offered with Intelligent Brake Assist (IBA), which can provide a boost to driver-initiated braking when a Low-Speed Forward Automatic Braking situation is detected ¼ ¼ Designed to help prevent some front-end collisions Safety features are no substitute for the driver s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. 32 Heated and Ventilated Front Seats Memory Seats Stop/Start Technology Wireless Charging HEATED AND VENTILATED FRONT SEATS OVERVIEW The available Heated and Ventilated Front Seats function activates seat heating or ventilation when the ignition is either turned ON or through the remote start function (if equipped). HOW TO USE HEATED AND VENTILATED FRONT SEATS When the ignition is turned ON: ¼ ¼ If available, the buttons are near the climate controls on the center stack. To operate, the ignition must be in ON/RUN ¼ ¼ Press to heat the driver or passenger seat cushion ¼ ¼ Press, if equipped, to ventilate the driver or passenger seat. A ventilated seat has a fan that pulls or pushes air through the seat. The air is not cooled ¼ ¼ Press the button once for the highest setting. With each press of the button, the seat will change to the next-lower setting and then to the OFF setting. The lights near the Heated or Ventilated Seat symbol on the button indicate 3 for the highest setting and 1 for the lowest Remote Start (if equipped): When it is cold outside, the heated seats or ventilated seats (if equipped) can be turned ON automatically during a remote vehicle start. The heated or ventilated seats will be canceled when the ignition is turned ON. Customers must press the Heated or Ventilated Seat controls to use the heated or ventilated seats after the vehicle is started. CUSTOMER BENEFIT ¼ ¼ If equipped with remote start, the convenience of not having to manually turn on the Heated Seats function during cooler months ¼ ¼ The Heated or Ventilated Seat indicator lights do not turn ON during a remote start ¼ ¼ The temperature performance of an unoccupied seat may be reduced ¼ ¼ The heated or ventilated seats will not turn ON during a remote start unless the Heated Seats feature is enabled in the Vehicle Personalization menu 32

33 Heated and Ventilated Front Seats Memory Seats Stop/Start Technology Wireless Charging MEMORY SEATS OVERVIEW Chevrolet vehicles may be equipped with available memory seats that allow two drivers to set and recall their preferred seat position. Other features may be able to be set as well, such as outside mirrors, steering column and driver s seat exit position. Memory positions are associated with a key fob for Automatic Memory Recall. Memory Seat positions may also be recalled manually. HOW TO CUSTOMIZE MEMORY SEATS Customers may independently enable the two features that automatically move their seats upon either starting or exiting the vehicle: ¼ ¼ If customers prefer movement to begin when they start their vehicle, in Chevrolet MyLink, select Settings, then Vehicle, then Comfort and Convenience and then Auto Memory Recall. For additional information, refer to Automatically recall Memory 1 and 2 button positions ¼ ¼ If customers prefer movement to begin when they exit their vehicle, adjust the settings in Chevrolet MyLink by selecting Settings, then Vehicle, then Comfort and Convenience and then Easy Exit Options. For additional information, refer to Automatically recall Memory Exit button position on the next page HOW TO USE MEMORY SEATS ¼ ¼ From the factory, one key fob is linked to Memory button 1 and one is linked to Memory button 2. This allows up to two drivers to store positions to be used with the Automatic Memory Recall feature when enabled through the Chevrolet MyLink touch-screen "Comfort and Convenience" settings ¼ ¼ Since the key fobs are not numbered, a Driver Information Center (DIC) message is displayed when the ignition is turned to ON/RUN/START You are Driver 1 (or 2) for Memory Features. This message displays when a new fob is introduced to the vehicle (see Identify key fobs as 1 or 2 on the next page) NOTE: If the same fob is used for more than three ignition cycles, then the message is no longer displayed. When the fob changes again, the message will be displayed for the subsequent three ignition cycles. Set memory positions: Place ignition in ON/RUN/START or ACC/ACCESSORY. Adjust the position of the seat to the desired position. If equipped with the memory function, also adjust the outside mirrors and steering column Press and release the SET button; a beep will sound Immediately press and hold Memory button 1 until two beeps sound Repeat the process to store positions to Memory button 2 or the EXIT button If too much time passes between releasing the SET button and pressing the Memory 1 or 2 button, the setting will not be stored After the memory positions are set and associated with a specific key fob, the settings will be automatically recalled when a driver enters the vehicle carrying that key and the ignition is in ON/RUN/START Manually recall Memory 1 and 2 button positions: Press and hold the 1, 2 or EXIT button until the seat and all memory items stop moving If equipped with Memory Seat position for the passenger seat, that position must be recalled manually it will not be associated with a key fob Automatically recall Memory 1 and 2 button positions: To enable or disable Automatic Memory Recall Turn ignition to ON/RUN/START - In the display, select Settings, then Vehicle, then Comfort and Convenience - Select Auto Memory Recall to turn the feature ON or OFF 33

34 Heated and Ventilated Front Seats Memory Seats Stop/Start Technology Wireless Charging MEMORY SEATS (CONTINUED) When the ignition is turned to ON/RUN/START, this feature automatically moves the driver s seat and memory-equipped features to their preferred position ¼ ¼ Customers cannot associate more than one stored seating position with a key fob, so the optimal way of using the fobs is for Drivers 1 and 2 to carry their fobs and only their fobs with them when they are driving. When both the Driver 1 and Driver 2 fobs are in the vehicle or are used to enter the vehicle at the same time, the vehicle may recognize the last fob used by itself, which may not belong to the current driver. Refer to "Manually recall Memory 1 and 2 button positions" on the previous page How to identify key fobs as 1 or 2 : Turn ignition to ON/RUN/START and look for a message on the DIC display that reads You are Driver 1 (or 2) for Memory Features If a message doesn't appear, turn ignition OFF and remove the key fob from the vehicle Bring the second fob into the vehicle. Turn ignition to ON/RUN/START and look for the message in the DIC The display indicates which key fob is recognized by the vehicle. This fob is associated with the stored button memory positions for your Automatic Memory Recall feature For example, if the customer sees You are Driver 1 for Memory Features, then they must store their seat and other memory-equipped features to Memory button 1 Automatically recall Memory EXIT button position: To enable or disable the Easy Exit feature: Turn ignition to ON/RUN/START: In the display, select Settings, then Vehicle, then Comfort and Convenience Select Easy Exit Options to turn the feature ON or OFF When the ignition is turned OFF and the driver door is opened, this feature automatically moves the driver seat and other memory-equipped features to the stored EXIT button position. This is not linked to a key fob or driver CUSTOMER BENEFIT ¼ ¼ When the driver enters the vehicle with their key fob and turn the ignition ON, the Memory Seat will automatically move into position, and they won t have to readjust it each time 34

35 STOP/START TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW Stop/Start Technology is a fuel-saving feature that stops the vehicle s engine under certain conditions. Heated and Ventilated Front Seats Memory Seats Stop/Start Technology Wireless Charging HOW TO USE STOP/START TECHNOLOGY ¼ ¼ Vehicles with the Stop/Start technology have an indicator on the tachometer gauge that reads "AUTO STOP"; the needle will move to this position when the technology has stopped the engine ¼ ¼ The engine stops when the driver comes to a complete stop and these conditions are met: 1. Powertrain is sufficiently warmed up. 2. Several temperature criteria are within the required operating range. 3. Battery charge is adequate. 4. Shift lever is in DRIVE. 5. Brakes have to be applied. ¼ ¼ The engine restarts instantaneously when one of the conditions listed above is not met (unless equipped with Electronic Transmission Range Select, in which case the engine will remain in AUTO STOP if the transmission is shifted to PARK) ¼ ¼ Some vehicles allow customers to disable Stop/Start Technology by pressing the switch; the feature will need to be disabled each ignition cycle ¼ ¼ The maximum auto stop time in any given event is two minutes, at which point the engine will automatically restart. CUSTOMER BENEFIT ¼ ¼ Stop/Start Technology is a feature that can help provide fuel savings 35

36 WIRELESS CHARGING OVERVIEW Available Wireless Charging enables customers to charge their smartphone without ever having to connect cables. The location of the Wireless Charging system varies by model. Customers should consult their wireless carrier or phone manufacturer to determine if their smartphone has built-in Wireless Charging technology or whether a wireless-capable back cover is required. For center console locations, most smartphones will need to be aligned to the rear liner rib ¼ ¼ The charging indicator will be displayed in the Chevrolet MyLink screen next to the PHONE icon. This indicates the smartphone is properly positioned and charging. If the smartphone is placed on the charging pad and the charging indicator is not displayed, remove the smartphone from the charging pad and wait three seconds before placing or aligning the smartphone again.
