We believed that there needed to be a cover that would be able to last as long as our DURA-LAST spa cabinet... a cover that wouldn t absorb moisture, or deteriorate... a cover that not only would exceed the old standards of heat retention, but, one that would actually protect the hot tub while enhancing its ease of use and cosmetic appearance. The results of our ambitious quest The Titan HardCover! The Titan HardCover is molded from durable, color-coordinating resin, which is able to withstand the harshest of environments while providing the highest degree of safety, along with a unique energy-saving insulation method. The Titan HardCover is molded hollow, then filled with a proprietary formulation of insulating foam. This foam is encapsulated within the resin cover, thus protecting it from moisture and the harsh chemical vapor barrier that forms between the water s surface and the underside of covers. With the Titan HardCover we not only re-sculpted how a spa cover appears, but, we also redefined how it opens. All of our Titan HardCover systems open smoothly in two parts by simply pulling the lever arm toward you. Then, the cover is reclosed with the same simplicity. QUALITY ASSURANCE Every Strong Spa is required to pass a rigorous quality-control inspection, which includes more than 100 quality-assurance checkpoints and a minimum 4-hour water test, during which all of the systems are tested for quality and performance. PRODUCTION AND MANUFACTURING The way we build our hot tubs is what makes Strong unique. Strong Spas are made in the USA at our Pennsylvania facility, using Americanmade components. The cabinet process begins with a hollow, two-part mold, which is filled with granular polyethylene polymer. The mold is mounted to a sophisticated machine, which externally heats while biaxially rotating the mold. The heat softens the powder into liquid form. As the mold rotates, the melted material coats the inside of the mold. Intelligent software distributes the material evenly to ensure consistency of product. Once cooled, the two-part mold is opened, revealing the finished resin component. ALL-WEATHER CONSTRUCTION Strong Spas are uniquely insulated to save energy and maintain water temperature so they can be enjoyed year-round. Our patented, virtually indestructible DURA-LAST resin cabinet is designed to withstand the harshest of climates and is backed by a Lifetime Warranty! 12 The Process of Rotational Molding Strong Durasport Series Rotational molding, also known as roto-mold, is a highly advanced manufacturing technique used to create our spas. The process begins with a hollow, two-part mold, which is filled with granular polyethylene polymer (advanced high-impact resistant powder plastic). The mold is then mounted to a sophisticated machine, which externally heats while biaxially rotating the mold. The heat softens the powder into liquid form. As the mold rotates, the melted material coats the inside of the mold. Intelligent software distributes the material evenly to ensure consistency of product. Once cooled, the two-part mold is opened, revealing a single-piece constructed spa. The benefit of this manufacturing process is that our rotationally-molded series will never rot, rust or deteriorate.
