10 Frequently Asked Questions. How do I activate my SiriusXM radio? Once your BMW is equipped with a SiriusXM Satellite Radio, it s easy to subscribe and activate your service. You ll need two things before you start: your SiriusXM radio s 12-digit Electronic Serial Number (ESN) and your BMW s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).* You can activate your SiriusXM service three ways: Ask your BMW center to activate SiriusXM service for you at time of delivery. Online at siriusxm.com/activate. Call SiriusXM Listener Care at We recommend placing the call while inside your BMW. That way, you will have immediate access to your radio, as a representative helps you through the process. How is SiriusXM programming different from regular radio? You must first obtain your login credentials to access SiriusXM Internet Radio service: If you activated your service via SiriusXM Listener Care, go to siriusxm.com/getallaccess to register your account online and establish your login credentials** which can be used to access SiriusXM Internet Radio. If you activated your service online at siriusxm.com/activate, your login credentials** established during the activation process will allow you to access SiriusXM Internet Radio. If you forgot your login credentials, go to siriusxm.com/myaccount and click on the Forgot Your Username/Password.
