2 OVERVIEW The SIRENA is a beautiful example of the popular Smeraldo 9Meter Series as produced by the very wellregarded Apreamare Yard in Italy. She was built in 1996 and is powered by twin DETROIT DIESEL Turbo inline (6) cylinder marine diesels that are rated at 220 HP. Offering outstanding performance & fuel economy, exceptional craftmanship inside & out and a sophisticated hull shape that also provides good seakeeping abilities, the APREAMARE 9M's have proven to be sought after for many years as distinct quality values and particularly in the United States & Europe. The VDrives are by HURTH. The Vdrives maintain a good lower thrust line and keeps the fore & aft trim changes to a minimum for all speeds whether at WOT (Wide Open Throttle) to hull speed or less. At a 2223 knot cruise at 2750 RPM, these DDC engines will burn about (20) US Gallons per hour. At a 10 knot cruise at 1800 RPM, the fuel burn is about (6) US Gallons per hour. At approximately (10) knots, the APREAMARE 9M has a range of about 325nm. In 2003, the shafts, struts & props were all replaced.
