The Ranger 4-Wheel-Drive System incorporates electronic shift-on-the-fly (ESOF) to let you move smoothly from 2-wheel drive to 4-wheel drive without having to stop the vehicle. For example, the 0-kW 2.2L high-output diesel engine puts up to 277 lb.-ft. of torque at your disposal for excellent flexibility when you are on the move. Depending on which model and engine you prefer, Ranger comes with either a 5- or 6-speed manual transmission, or a smooth 6-speed automatic that features a manual sequential-shift capability. Prevention is better than a cure. That s why Ranger incorporates an Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) to help you steer clear of an accident.
