1 2014MY LAND ROVER LR4 PRODUCT ANNOUCEMENT WITH PRICING 8-OCT-13 No.: MPR13-17 Section: PRODUCT/ PRICING MARKETING BULLETIN Market: USA Land Rover is pleased to announce the 2014MY Land Rover LR4 specifications, packaging details and pricing. This bulletin outlines the product details and summarizes the product changes for the 2014MY. 2014MY will see the most significant updates to LR4 since the 2010MY with both visual and functional improvements. The replacement of the 5.0 V8 engine by the 3.0 V6 Supercharged (S/C) engine will see improved fuel economy. With this change the interior design can align with our other vehicles incorporating the rotary Drive Select and steering wheel mounted paddle shifters along with revised Terrain Response switch pack. 3.0 Liter Supercharged V6 (SCV6) 340 bhp and 332 lb-ft Torque Single Speed Transfer Box Many core competitors to LR4 do not offer low range in their transmission as standard, this knowledge bolstered by research findings that the majority of our customers don t often require the added off-road capability offered by this feature, have led to the decision to introduce the Single Speed Transfer Box(high range gears) as a standard feature for 2014MY. The introduction unlocks the benefit and value of the Twin Speed Transfer box, by allowing us to promote the benefits (high and low range gears), something which, until now hasn t been fully valued or communicated. The vehicle is still highly capable with a Single Speed Transfer box retaining the impressive 7,716 lbs towing capability, significant wheel articulation, ground clearance, and wading depth. For those more adventurous who require the extra level of capability, the Twin Speed Transfer box is available as part of the Heavy Duty Package which also includes the Rear Diff-Lock and Full Sized Spare Tire. Vehicles not fitted with the Heavy Duty Package will feature a new four mode Terrain Response system but will not feature the Rock Crawl function.

3 Intelligent Stop Start The intelligent stop start system being rolled out across many of the JLR product range will be a welcome addition to LR4 at 14MY. The system often referred to as TSS (Twin Solenoid Starter) is one of a suite of features designed to improve fuel economy, reduce CO2 emissions and improve Greenhouse Gas emission performance. The system is automatically engaged when the ignition is turned on. When the vehicle comes to a halt at traffic lights or heavy traffic, the system will check if the engine is required, if not, it will turn off. On release of the brake the engine will instantaneously restart providing the selected drive mode. Exterior Design Refresh 14MY sees the most visually significant changes to the exterior of LR4 since 10MY updates. The majority of changes are focused around the front end of the vehicle. The images below show the 14MY design at a glance against 13MY. The all new bumper has a flatter top surface and incorporates flush headlamp power-wash jets. The lower intake has a wider mouth and features a new tow eye cover. The front grill is all new with black surround and a bright insert. There is a cleaner and modern execution of the front fog lamp with a sleek black surround and bright 2014MY LR4 will adopt a similar headlamp strategy already established on the other JLR products bringing the vehicle in line with the latest day time running light legislation by introducing DRL as standard in a bulb specification and a striking new LED signature w/ Xenon standard on HSE and HSE LUX models MY 2014 MY

4 New Mirrors Part of the exterior design refresh includes the introduction of redesigned exterior side-view mirrors. Not only will they offer improved aerodynamics but also support the introduction of Blind Spot Monitoring, Closing Vehicle Sensing and Reverse Traffic Detection systems to the Vision Assist Package. The side direction indicator previously housed in the door will move to the mirror, as well as act as the housing for cameras as part of the improved surround camera system. Following a similar strategy effectively executed on Range Rover Evoque, LR4 will have approach lamps mounted in the underside of the mirrors, projecting their own unique insignia as shown below. Exterior Model differentiation Today the wheels are the only exterior differentiation between the LR4, LR4 HSE and LR4 HSE LUX. In order to make Trim levels more distinctive for 2014MY some exterior modifications have been made. LR4 and LR4 HSE Brunel grill and side vents. Dark Techno Grey Tow Eye cover. 5 Black Design Package update The Black Design Package option will continue into 14MY, retaining the same features as 13MY although the following elements are revised. All black grill with bright insert. Black fog lamp bezels Narvik black mirror caps to fit new mirrors Moulded Anthracite tow-eye cover All other content is direct carryover from 13MY, including the 19 & 20 Black wheel design, full length satin black roof rails, Narvik black door handles. Black Fog Light Bezel New Bright Grill Insert New Exterior Paint Colors For 14MY color palette is being enhanced with five new exterior color choices. 6 Engine Badge The side turn indicator seen in 13MY on the door will be moved to the exterior mirrors for 14MY. In its place will be badging denoting the engine variant SCV6. The side badging will be a bright font on a black background. Revised Land Rover Logo The oval Land Rover logo badge will use a richer green helping enhance its prominence.

7 Wheel Center Cap Strategy The current wheel center badges are silver with a green logo insert. Following corporate direction at 14MY there will be two styles, depending on which alloy wheel is chosen, this will help complement and offer a distinguishing touch to the alloy wheel. The system will retain the impressive 380 Watt and 825 Watt specifications and speaker layout incorporating the Meridian amplifier. The system will maintain the high quality listening experience with the only visual differentiation coming in the form of the Meridian badges seen on speaker covers as seen below: The 380 Watt system will see badges replaced with the Meridian badge and the 825 Watt Premium Audio system will see the Logic badge replaced by the Meridian Surround badge.

9 Relocation of the Audio Interface Panel The Audio Interface Panel (Aux-in and Single USB & iphone Connectivity port) has been relocated from the center console to the upper glove box.
