Like, can responsible be exciting? And can sensible really be adventurous? And the answer is yes. We call it: ENJOYNEERING THE ADVENTURE STARTS HERE The Altea family: As hot on safety as they are on road holding. Spacious enough for growing families, easy to get in and out of, and tough enough for the best that nature can throw at them. So whatever your plans, when your adventure begins there s no need to say goodbye to style. Just say hello to the Altea.

5 THINK BIG Then think XL Families grow. Children grow. The amount of stuff we need seems to grow non-stop, so that even simple journeys become epic endeavours. And when big isn t big enough, you need XL. The Altea XL really is XL. It s tall, with masses of headroom and a higher, more commanding driving position. It s long cm longer than the standard Altea to be precise. Which translates into an extra 123 litres of space, and a total boot capacity of 532 litres. Which is, well, huge. In fact it s one of the roomiest cars in its class. Although you wouldn t think it from the outside. With its swooping sporty lines, the look is unmistakably SEAT, as is the handling. It s well balanced and assured, which makes the Altea XL a genuine pleasure to drive. Now every school run, shopping trip or family visit is another chance to get behind the wheel. Being the family chauffeur has never been so much fun.

6 SERIOUSLY GENEROUS Some cars just have it all Some say we ve been too generous when it comes to the new Altea COPA models and it s not hard to see why, either. Take the S COPA for example; with multiple pieces of equipment as standard, including 16" alloy wheels, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity and climate control, it has never been easier to drive in such style and comfort. And for those who truly believe it s what s on the inside that counts, we think you may have a point. It s for this reason we designed the SE COPA. Settle in to the cabin and meet the SEAT Media System 2.2 with a five-inch colour touch screen and DAB digital radio. Navigation, media and traffic information all at your fingertips. What s more, the SE COPA also benefits from rear parking sensors, rain-sensing wipers, a light sensor and an auto-dimming rear view mirror. Driving made a whole lot safer, without a compromise to enjoyment.

It has more than 30 different storage compartments. Overhead, under seats and inside armrests, to name a few. And these aren t just nooks and crannies; we ve carefully designed each one. For example the front door compartments are designed to hold a 1.5 litre bottle. But the main event has to be the cavernous boot. 409 litres in the Altea, and 532 litres in the Altea XL. And it doesn t stop there. You can slide and fold each of the three back seats to create even more space to suit your needs. And while you contemplate just how much you could fit in an Altea, remember to consider digital storage too. The smart, streamlined interior houses the optional SEAT Media System 2.2 with touch screen, DAB radio (stores your favourite stations), Navigator (stores your route information), plus Bluetooth and an SD card slot (for expanded storage).

Bi-Xenons with daytime running lights to keep you visible day and night, and Adaptive Front-Lighting (AFS) to improve cornering visibility by swivelling the lights to follow your steering direction. WINDSCREEN WIPERS INTEGRATED INTOFRONT PILLARS. The Altea s windscreen wipers are neatly tucked away to the sides, leaving your view totally clear. For those looking to do their bit for the environment, the 1.6 TDI CR 105PS Ecomotive is the ultimate engine. Hosting a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) as standard, achieving a combined fuel consumption of 62.8 mpg and emitting CO2 levels as low as 119 g/km of CO2, this holds the title of being our greenest Altea engine. And for the automatic gearbox fans out there, our 1.6 TDI CR 105PS engine also comes available with a 7-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) which can change gear in a fraction of a second. If a muscular engine is more your thing, we have the perfect solution. The 2.0 TDI CR 140PS provides that that extra power for when it s needed, whilst at the same time achieving a very respectable 57.6 mpg.

13 START/STOP SYSTEM. This system allows you to save fuel and cut down on CO2 emissions. OFF ON When the car is stopped, the gear lever set to neutral and the clutch pedal is released, the Start/Stop system switches the engine off. Once the clutch is engaged again the engine starts automatically. An Energy Recovery System works by varying the amount of power absorbed by the alternator. During braking, power which would otherwise be wasted is drawn into the electrical systems and battery. Under acceleration the alternator draws less energy, so more can be sent to driving the wheels. This system helps you reduce overall fuel consumption, and consequently the CO2 emission level.

It s time they got the recognition they deserve. After all, it s thanks to them along with the standard six airbags and ISOFIX fittings for child safety seats that the Altea earned the maximum five-star Euro NCAP* safety rating. So say hello to AFS, the Adaptive Front-lighting System, bi-xenon headlights that increase cornering visibility by swivelling to follow the direction of the steering wheel. Clever stuff. And what about ABS and TCS? Or to give them their full names, Anti-lock Braking and Traction Control Systems, working together to ensure maximum control and minimal wheel spin. And who could forget our good friends ESC and EBA. The Electronic Stability Control and Emergency Brake Assist deliver assured handling, and reassurance when braking. Thanks guys. 35 THE SEAT WARRANTY THREE-YEAR WARRANTY. All new SEATs registered in the UK come with a three year/60,000 miles warranty, which protects your car against the failure of most mechanical and electrical components due to manufacturing defects. This comprises a two-year manufacturer s warranty with unlimited mileage plus a further one-year/60,000 (whichever is soonest) Dealer Warranty. Should the mileage exceed 60,000 miles within the first two years, the manufacturer s two-year warranty will still be valid. If an additional warranty for subsequent years or higher mileage is desired, it may be purchased from an authorised SEAT dealer or repairer, however, this additional warranty must be purchased before the mileage reaches 60,000. Cover is subject to the car being serviced and maintained according to the manufacturer s technical guidelines. Full details of the three-year warranty are available from your SEAT dealer or repairer. THREE-YEAR PAINT WARRANTY. The paintwork of the Altea is covered against manufacturing defects for a period of three years.
