To qualify, a fleet customer must have 5 vehicles registered in the company s name and a Fleet Account Number (FAN) approved by and registered with Subaru Canada, Inc. How to Apply for a Fleet Account Number (FAN) To apply for a Fleet Account Number please select the appropriate form which may be downloaded from The completed application form, along with the required number of proof of vehicle registration(s), is then forwarded to Subaru Canada, Inc. When the application and support documents are verified and approved by Subaru your company will be registered and a Fleet Account Number provided. FAN Application Forms Leasing Company Account FAN Application Form Leasing Company: Please include copies of ten (10) vehicle provincial registrations that provide both Lessor and Lessee names. The registrations should include two (2) that are dated at least six (6) months prior to the application date. Commercial Account FAN Application Form Commercial Account: Please include copies of five (5) vehicle provincial registrations. Daily Rental Account FAN Application Form Daily Rental: Please include copies of five (5) vehicle provincial registrations. FAN Requirements The vehicles you are purchasing or leasing must remain in original service in Canada and are to be used in the operation of the business for a minimum of 12 months, except daily rental companies for which there is a minimum 6-month in-service requirement. Vehicle registrations can be for any make or model but they are to be for cars or trucks only. In provinces with government insurance, we alternatively accept a copy of a vehicle listing issued by the governing authority in lieu of individual registrations.

3 TH E SU BARU SAFETY ADVANTAGE Subaru symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive Strike a balance, get a grip, take control. Since 1972, this has been the core philosophy behind the development of every Subaru vehicle. In that time, our engineers have perfected a combination unique to the industry: the SUBARU BOXER engine and the linear drivetrain layout known as the Subaru symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive system. In this layout, all drivetrain components the engine, transmission, driveshaft, and front and rear differentials are logically aligned close to the centre point of the vehicle. The benefits of a balanced, symmetrical drivetrain are both numerous and substantial. First, it gives every Subaru heightened stability and ideal weight distribution side to side. In most conditions, the compact design also allows for linear, controllable, full-time power to be distributed to all four wheels simultaneously which translates into superior traction and control, especially when cornering. In addition, the layout provides the perfect foundation for a 4-wheel fully independent suspension system that delivers precise handling and incredible stability without sacrificing ride quality. The long, equal-length axle shafts allow for maximum suspension travel, superior balance at all four wheels and maximum contact between the tires and the road, even when the road surface changes. The suspension can then be further tuned to virtually eliminate torque steer and create superior driving dynamics that allow the vehicle s refined and sporty nature to show through. Why is symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive a better solution? Simply: balance, grip, control. Horizontally-opposed SUBARU BOXER engine Better balance: When cornering, centrifugal force causes a vehicle to lean and how much it leans depends in part on the vehicle s centre of gravity. Due to the placement of its compact SUBARU BOXER engine, all Subaru vehicles have an exceptionally low centre of gravity. This translates into reduced body roll, along with improved handling and stability, without the need for an overly stiff suspension. Horizontally-opposed SUBARU BOXER engine Less vibration: With its 180-degree, horizontally-opposed configuration, the SUBARU BOXER engine design cuts vibration dramatically by eliminating the inertia of opposing pistons as found in V-shaped or in-line configuration engines. The result is excellent responsiveness throughout the rev range, unprecedented driving comfort, greatly improved vehicle stability and a quieter cabin. With Subaru s symmetrical full-time AWD system, however, power is sent through all four wheels, the vehicle steers naturally and neutrally in the direction of the turn, and precise, controlled handling is maintained.
