The 2015 Kia Forte sedan brings luxury features, spacious comfort and a beautifully controlled ride together in an elegantly styled automobile. The coupe-like roofline and wide stance provide a sporty yet sophisticated look to the Forte sedan. So, too, do its lighting systems, including Xenon high-intensity discharge (HID) headlights and LED light bar taillights two luxury car features that are standard on SX models. DIGITALLY ADVANCED UVO Powered by Microsoft 3 is an available entertainment, communication and information system that gives you handsfree, voice-activated control over the audio system, music selection and your Bluetooth 4 -enabled cell phone. CHOICE OF ENGINES The 2015 Forte sedan is available with two four-cylinder engines. LX models feature a standard 1.8-litre engine that produces 145 horsepower with enthusiasm and remarkable quietness. Step up to the EX or SX and the power steps up with you in the form of a smooth and robust 2.0-litre, 173-horsepower engine with gasoline direct injection (GDI). MEDIA AND MUSIC INTEGRATION The interface provides hands-free connectivity for your Bluetooth 4 -enabled cell phone and supports digital music streaming from your MP3 player or USB-connected music sources, as well as the system s internal hard drive. REARVIEW CAMERA DISPLAY 5 When you shift into reverse, the multimedia interface automatically displays a high-resolution image from the vehicle s rearview camera. 9 Safety and peace of mind. Combining a range of passive and active safety features, the 2015 Forte will give you a reassuring sense of security. A comprehensive airbag system and seat belt pretensioners protect you in the event of a collision. An available rearview camera gives you a view of objects and obstacles behind you when you re backing up and helps to make parking in tight spaces a breeze. REARVIEW CAMERA. 5 Standard on all Forte EX and SX models, the rearview camera gives you a view of objects and obstacles behind you when you re backing up. Images are displayed on the LCD screen of the UVO system or navigation system, depending on how your vehicle is equipped. Seat belt pretensioners. Seat belt pretensioners automatically tighten the driver and front passenger s seat belts in the event that a crash occurs to help prevent or reduce injury. VEHICLE STABILITY MANAGEMENT Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) monitors Forte s response to your throttle, brake and steering inputs in tight corners and evasive-manoeuvre situations. If your steering input and the vehicle s response are out of sync, VSM briefly takes over to restore stability through precise brake, electric steering and engine control interventions. TRacTion control Forte s standard Traction Control System (TCS) senses wheel spin during acceleration and uses engine-torque reduction and pulsed braking to slow the spinning wheel(s) and transfer torque to the wheels that have the most traction. ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM ABS provides the foundation for Forte s active safety systems. It helps provide greater vehicle control when stopping in difficult conditions, such as wet, slippery or snow-covered roads. SIX STANDARD AIRBAGS Forte protects you and your family with advanced dual front, side impact and curtain airbags with finely tuned sensors for the best possible performance. In combination, they help protect against head and chest injuries in moderate to severe impacts. 1 HILL-START ASSIST CONTROL To help keep you from rolling backward when starting off on a steep hill, Hill Assist Control (HAC) automatically maintains braking pressure for up to two seconds after you take your foot off the brake pedal enough time for engine power to move you forward. ENHANCED COLLISION SAFETY Forte s new platform provides added strength and protection to help maintain the integrity of the passenger compartment in frontal, side and rear impacts. latch SySTem Forte comes equipped with an industry-standard LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) safety system that makes it easier to securely install a compatible child safety seat in any of the three rear seating positions. 1, 5. 11 SPECIFICATIONS Forte Starting with the 2015 model year, Natural Resources Canada in conjunction with the automotive manufacturers, have introduced a new testing procedure that will result in higher fuel consumption ratings that are more representative of everyday driving. Kia Canada is one of the first automotive manufacturers to implement the new testing practice and would like to ensure you fully understand the difference.
