It offers outstanding power thanks to a 270 hp V6 engine, a reinforced body-on-frame construction, and a towing capacity of up to 2,268 kg (5,000 lb.). It includes convenient features like 6 Touch Panel Display with Navigation, Backup Camera, heated front seats, front and rear 12V power outlets for charging personal electronics, and plenty of storage options, including 2,500 litres (88.3 cu.ft.) of cargo space (behind the front seats). The available Full-Time 4-Wheel Drive and locking centre/rear differential give you the power and control you need to take on every type of trail. For unruly terrain, 4Runner comes equipped with a standard Downhill Assist Control 1, and Active Traction Control gives you the added traction you need when handling descending slopes.

6 FACE ANY CHALLENGE WITH CONFIDENCE. APPROACH WITH CONFIDENCE 4Runner encourages you to take on the toughest trails. Up to 9.6 inches of ground clearance, an approach angle of 33 degrees and a departure angle of 26 degrees on 4Runner TRD Off-Road help keep the adventure going. MULTI-TERRAIN SELECT Available Multi-terrain Select allows you to choose from four modes that will regulate wheel spin by adjusting the engine throttle setting and braking pressure to provide you with maximum traction in various off-road situations. CRAWL CONTROL The available Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) and Crawl Control are meant to help keep optimal traction, even on uneven terrain. KDSS automatically adjusts the suspension system for better wheel articulation, while Crawl Control automatically modulates the throttle and brakes on five low-speed settings. LEVER-TYPE TRANSFER CASE 4WD vehicles require a system to transfer power from the transmission to all four wheels. 4Runner TRD Off-Road has a lever-type transfer case that allows you to easily switch to low range to help clear the roughest challenges.

COMPREHENSIVE COVERAGE 3 YEARS OR 60,000 KM This warranty includes 24 hour Roadside Assistance and other benefits, as well as coverage of repairs on any part of the vehicle that is defective in material or workmanship under normal use and maintenance. Different warranties apply to original tires. POWERTRAIN COMPONENTS 5 YEARS OR 100,000 KM This warranty covers repairs to powertrain components that are defective in material or workmanship under normal use and maintenance. MAJOR EMISSION CONTROL COMPONENTS 8 YEARS OR 130,000 KM This warranty covers repairs to specified major emission components that are defective in material or workmanship under normal use and maintenance. CORROSION PERFORATION 5 YEARS/UNLIMITED DISTANCE This warranty covers any sheet metal found, under normal use, to have developed a perforation from corrosion due to defects in material or workmanship. DISCLAIMERS (1) DAC is designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control and speed on steep downhill descents. HAC is designed to help minimize backward rolling on steep ascents. This system is not a substitute for safe driving judgment and practices. Factors including speed, grade, surface conditions and driver input can all affect whether DAC and HAC will be effective in preventing a loss of control.
