9 If you re looking for a smooth drive, the new Toyota C-HR s 1.2 litre, in-line, 4-cylinder turbo engine doesn t disappoint. The turbo charger delivers high responsiveness while still maintaining a refined drive. The new D-4T system injects fuel directly inside the cylinder at high fuel pressure, ensuring that this compact, fuel-efficient engine still guarantees to thrill. And it all kicks into gear with the convenient Push Start* ignition system. The clutch pedal height, angle and depression angle are optimised so that full pedal depression and clutch engagement now become easier. Intelligent Manual Transmission (imt) ensures smooth gear shifting while an idling start-off assist function has been adopted. The 6-speed manual transmission ensures fuel economy and drive-power performance, while also optimising the gear ratios for the torque characteristics of a turbocharged engine. The driver cockpit is designed to minimise eye movements so that vital operations like steering, accelerating and braking can be actioned with minimal interference. The high quality instrument panel expresses a sense of luxury by combining soft-touch materials and textures to deliver a clean appearance throughout the cabin.
