Use this five-column parts list, and the accompanying illustration, to describe and locate parts correctly. Using the Illustrated List Numbers in the Item column correspond to numbers that identify parts in illustrations following each parts list. The code NS (not shown) indicates that a listed part is not illustrated. A dash (-) is used when the part number applies to all parts in the illustration. The six-digit number in the Part column is the Nordson Corporation part number. A dash in this column ( ) means the part cannot be ordered separately or refers you to the appropriate parts list. The Description column gives the part name, as well as its dimensions and other characteristics when appropriate. Indentions show the relationships between assemblies, subassemblies, and parts. 20 NozzlePlatesand Nozzles Swirl nozzle plates and wide-pattern swirl nozzles create circular streams of air that apply tight, overlapping spirals of adhesive to your work surface. The size of the nozzle opening and the length of the nozzle greatly affect the adhesive s flow. Contact your Nordson representative for assistance in selecting the best nozzle plate or nozzle for your uses. Swirl Nozzle Plates Series AD-31 swirl handguns use special nozzle plates to apply adhesive for use in pressure-sensitive applications. The nozzle plate is secured to the handgun by a nozzle retainer (P/N ), included with swirl handguns. Purchase swirl nozzle plates separately. 21 8-19 Wide-Pattern Swirl Nozzle Assemblies Series AD-31 wide-pattern swirl handguns use special, high-flow nozzle assemblies that produce a wide swirl, ideal for applying adhesive to large areas quickly and thoroughly. Each assembly includes a one-piece nozzle-and-retainer that must be purchased separately from the handgun.
