2 #1758 GENERAL MOTORS PROVING GROUND RECORDS Records, linear feet General Motors Research and Development regularly test domestic and foreign G.M. vehicles, as well as vehicles made by foreign and domestic competitors. These tests include complete road tests measuring acceleration, braking, handling, fuel economy, etc.; long term durability tests; and weight analysis of the components making up a vehicle. This collection includes test results for individual vehicles, comparison tests of more than one vehicle, and test summaries and general procedural information. Many of the test results include photographs.
