Bring your Jackson and see Gerald at the next meeting to grab your copy! Remember, there is no mailing or hand delivery. ARCHWAY ANNUAL CLUB PICNIC, 2018 The Greensfelder shelter at Creve Coeur Co. Park was booked already when I called them on the 15OCT2017 (for the 2018 date of 14OCT2017) This year s the annual Archway Olds Club picnic was located at Faust park and we enjoyed food and fun with about 38 club members and their families. MONTHLY BIRTHDAY NOTICES Birthday notices have been included in the newsletter for over a decade now and we acknowledge that there are some errors. Please give us a bit more time to sort out the various files and documents on which this information finds itself and get this corrected. Let us know at the meeting of any discrepancies if they persist. 1
3 President s Message Howdy Folks, Here I am writing 2018 now. I hope everyone had a wonderful Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with family and friends. Hope you all slowed down to enjoy the holiday season as it has gone by and we are now in a new year Get your Heavy coats out now. I want to announce my appreciation of all the 2018 Archway Olds Club Officers and all the volunteers who make this club run as smoothly as in years past, "I Thank You All" who volunteer their time and talents year after year. You have to agree this club runs smooth with all your help. Our Archway Christmas Brunch went very well. Thanks to Gerry, Ed and Don for organizing another fun event for the members to have a fun day. The weather was perfect along with the camaraderie and food. The Club has received a thank you for participating letter from the Knights of Columbus George R. Kutterer Council 6165 Columbia, Illinois with all the other members signatures. This thank you was from our club participation at their first car show where the club received the club participation award. I believe we had 16 cars displayed and 20 members attending. In the letter they called the show a major success and so do I, Thank you. For pictures of this event go to A fun time was had by ALL. The club has also received a letter from the Spirit Region of the Classic Car Club of America from Shannon Olson that announces the 3rd Annual Classic Car Trivia Night SATURDAY February 17th at 7:00 PM at the Moolah Shrine Fee Fee Road St. Louis, Hope there is room to include the flier again this month's newsletter. Last year we had a great time. Wear your Oldsmobile Club stuff, bring snacks, and have a great time. Refreshments are sponcors by the Shriners so there is a cash bar operating this evening. Please plan to attend as I will be 100% promoting this event as what else are you doing mid-february on a Saturday night? Mark this down as a must attend. Don't wash the car for this. Lastly, We are late and so are you if you have not sent in your 2018 club dues. Its our error here as we have not yet included the membership renewal sheet and hopefully it has been included this month. If it has please fill out Completely and send with a check to the club's post office, post hast please. Please include your as the club is heading to ing the monthly newsletter to save cost. You cannot imagine our postal cost. Yes Hundreds. Anyone interested in Archway Oldsmobile Club licence plates for 2018? Let me know.
