112 112 CONSTRUCTION CONSTRUCTION 1 - One piece integral legs are standard on all frames where possible. 2 - Frames are solid kiln dried hardwood and/or hard wood laminates. 3 - Frame within a frame construction for strength and durability. 4 - Double back rails are used for strength and durability. 5 - The frame, where possible, is reinforced by our proprietary Comfort Flex spring unit that is constructed with 1/4 angle iron perimeter rails and utilizes 1-inch tubular stretchers front to back to eliminate sqeaking and twisting of the frame. 6 - Springs are tightly spaced 8.5 gauge sinuous wire that are attached to the angle iron perimeter relieving stress on the frame. The springs are then cross-tied across the deck for added support and comfort. 7 - Sinuous wires are also used in the backs for support. 8 - All rails on hardwood frames are double doweled, glued and corner blocked. Hardwood laminate frames are constructed of an interlocking system. Both methods insures that the frame will be structurally sound. TAILORING Our furniture is designed using a four way match - horizontally and vertically. We also match all outside arms and will center match all outside back panels (we will not seam backs to ensure match across the entire back). The inside of our frames are padded and double covered in various thickness of foam to add softness and comfort. All outside frame members are also carefully padded. These procedures give the furniture a good hand and aid in the prevention of wear and tear at the corners and stress points. All frames are shipped in a full-length arm and base tray, padded and then enclosed in shrink-wrap to prevent any arm, skirt & lower frame damage in transit!

Oven tempering ensures the spring unit will maintain its shape and height even after being folded and unfolded in the mechanism.
