10 FIND YOUR COUNTRYMAN. Get your first look at all the ways in which you can personalise your Countryman. Let s start with the essentials: the engine room. You can choose from 2 turbocharged petrol and 2 turbocharged diesel engines, or go for a cutting-edge plug-in hybrid with 6-speed Steptronic transmission and all-wheel-drive (combustion engine driving the front axle and an electric motor driving the real axle). All engines use the powerful and efficient Twin Power Turbo technology. 3 of the engine variants 2 petrol, 1 diesel are fitted with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. 6-speed Steptronic transmission is available upon request for Cooper, while an 8-speed Steptronic gearbox is an option for models as well as Cooper D and Cooper S variants (fitted as standard on Cooper SD/). Intelligent all-wheel-drive system in Cooper/D and Cooper S/SD models (available as optional) as well as John Cooper Works models (standard) ensures optimum traction on all road surfaces. For more information about the John Cooper Works Countryman model, please refer to the technical data section on page or check the John Cooper Works Countryman flyer.. A 1.5-l 3-cylinder petrol engine (136 hp/110 kw) and a 2.0-l 4-cylinder diesel version (150 hp/110 kw) offer a handy blend of power and economy. A classic contrast colour is available at no extra cost for the roof and exterior mirror caps. The exhaust tailpipe comes with a Chrome trim. Bonnet stripes are optionally available. 10

11 S. Better, faster, stronger: With a 2.0-l 4-cylinder petrol engine (192 hp/141 kw) or a 2.0-l 4-cylinder diesel unit (190 hp/140 kw), the Cooper S packs the biggest punch. Hallmarks include the red S at the rear, side scuttles, the radiator grille with honeycomb structure and Chrome border and the twin Chrome-plated exhaust tailpipes (right and left). S E. The Countryman Plug-in Hybrid features a clever combination: A 3-cylinder petrol engine (136 hp/100 kw) at the front with an 88-hp/65-kW e-motor at the rear axle. For short trips and inner-city driving, it glides silently and emission-free up to 26 miles * on battery power. Any 230-volt power supply fully charges the battery in 150 minutes at most, using electricity harvested from completely carbon-neutral, regenerative sources. For longer journeys, motorway stretches and short sprints, the Twin Power Turbo petrol engine takes over and regenerative braking charges the battery.
