4 SHELVING Saratoga Series End Panels/Intermediate Uprights 7/8 thick, 5 ply lumbercore plywood with internal edgeband Cornice Tops Top panels to be 7/8 solid lumbercore where genuine wood tops are specified and 1 thick veneer core if a high-pressure laminate face is specified. ¾ x 3 fascia;. kreg screwed, glued, then reinforced with glue blocks and stapled to inside of cornice front and top panel. Bolting cleats: 3/4 x 2, glued, screwed, glue-blocked and stapled perpendicularly at ends of rail, drilled for assembly bolts. Top frames are shipped as preassembled frames. Base ¾ x 5 wide bottom veneer core base blocks with a ¾ x 3 solid hardwood base-front. Solid lumber bolting cleats and back rail that is grooved to accept ¼ thick back panel. Entire assembly is glued, screwed, nailed and stapled to form a factory made bottom frame. Attachment Attachment for Adding Units; Top and bottom frames will be preassembled at the factory. Four bolts per single faced base or top; eight per double-faced base or top. All hardware will be concealed from view after assembly. Shelves Shelves: 7/8 thick hardwood, of random width boards, from 1 to 4 wide with cross-banding, genuine veneer faces with exposed edge to receive an internal edge band. Adjustable and base shelves grooved on the underside to set firmly on shelf pins. Shelves are rated at 250 lbs of evenly distributed weight without deflection. Backs and Partitions ¼ plywood finished to match shelving. Backs are finished on one side and used with single-faced shelving. 5 Tioga Series End Panels/Intermediate Uprights Stile and Rail Starter Ends with a ¼ inch reveal on the outside face between the panel inset and the hardwood frame. Inside face is flush; frame to panel. Raised panels can be substituted for the flat panels as an option. Genuine hardwood frames are milled from 5/4 lumber, finishing 1 thick x 2 ½ wide with the base rail 3 wide. Center mullions are used for end panels over 60 tall. Intermediate uprights are 1 thick 9-ply, veneer core plywood. Shelf support holes are drilled on 32mm centers. This product line features 1-7/8 thick Capital and Base blocks with double tapered faces. All genuine stile and rail construction uses 1-1/2 thick lumber framework with solid, flat inset panels. Overall thickness is 2-1/4 inches. Intermediate uprights are a 3 thick subassembly featuring the same Capital and Base blocks as the starter panels with 1-1/2 thick lumber frame. Shelf support holes are drilled on 32mm centers. Cornice Tops 1-1/2 wide, tapered profile hardwood front rail is assembled as a drop-edge to a 7/8 thick lumber core top panel. Pockets are machined into the top panel to allow machine bolts to be concealed as they are threaded into the end panels. Tops are grooved along the bottom, back edge to accept the back panel. Base 2-1/2 wide base-front is sub-assembled to the solid core bottom panel. Pockets are machined into the bottom panel to allow machine bolts to be concealed as they are threaded into the end panels. 56 CIRCULATION DESK Saratoga Series General Description: Unless requested otherwise, all of our desk components are built assembled at the factory using real wood joinery offering, years of service. Most all of our desks are made custom to each application. Although the Saratoga series is a simple desk design with graceful bull-nose edges, it is a very customizable series. Some of the options to give this desk a unique appearance is color accent pin stripes, black or matching laminate toe kicks, canted front face or two tone designer patterns etched into the panels. Herewith, you will see what is the most common size components requested for most installations. We are happy to make modifications to suite your needs. Like all of the Saratoga series, this desk is standard with a 5/8 thick, internal edge band, with a gentle arched bullnose milling on three edges of the 1 thick end panel. There is a slight inset face panel to allow easy foot placement for your patrons visit. Doors on cupboards are custom hung at the factory as inset, or flush to the front edges of the cabinet. They are assembled stile & rail frames with flat panels or tempered glass lite insets. Complete, they finish ¾ thick with 1-1/2 wide frames. Doors are hung utilizing euro-style hinges allowing adjustments in the field. Optional ¾ thick flat wood panels can be substituted for the stile and rail frames. Shelves: All adjustable shelves in cupboards are solid lumber core and adjust on 32mm centers. Drawers are assembled with ¾ thick matching hardwood drawer faces mounted as flat stock on ½ thick drawer sides all dovetailed and glued. Many times we incorporate a flush face with the ends machined to be behind the front panels to give the desk a continuous, unbroken face surface. This treatment is referred to as the Seneca look. Herewith, you will see what is the most common size components requested for most installations. We are happy to make modifications to suite your needs. Like all of the Mohawk series, this desk is standard with a 3/16 thick external edge band on 1 thick end panels machined square with eased edges. Most all of our desks are made custom to each application. The Tioga series is one of the most custom built in our series of standard product simply because the stile and rail hardwood frames will require symmetry across the front of the desk, facing the patron side. Perhaps the configuration will allow us to build your desk to be modular based on your project requirements or we may suggest common, overlay front panels to give the entire desk installation frame balance across many components. Herewith, you will see what is the most common size components requested for most installations. We are happy to make modifications to suite your needs. Like all of the Tioga series, the stile and rail construction is 5/4-hardwood lumber to be milled 1 thick by 2½ wide with the base rail 3 wide. The captured flat panel is ¾ thick allowing for a ¼ reveal. Raised panels can be substituted for the flat panels as an option. The inside face is a flat surface allowing the hardwood frame to be seen as heavy banding around the panel face to compete the stile and rail custom appearance. CIRCULATION DESK Shelburne Series General Description: The Shelburne product line is a high-end system of furniture, with very unique characteristics as designed by Vermont furniture designers, Beeken Parsons. The desk will be unlike anything else available on the market, incorporating sub-assemblies of hardwood frame bents with 1-3/4 tall capitals, tapered 2-1/2 tall bases and 1-1/2 thick verticals between. The bents will capture matching veneer panels to form the front of the desk and serve to form a structure to house any type of storage component the client specifies. Each section will be custom made to specification for any height and width combination to accommodate both, the patron or staff. This custom desk will require site assembly with continuous work surfaces and endless options. We will ask to please supply us with your requirements and we will work with you to fine tune the design of your desk.
