6 Roller Shades How to Order Roller Shades STEP 1 - Enter fabric catalog # and color into the Roller Shade Order Form. Confirm the Fabric Width meets the width requirements of the window. The Fabric Cross Reference Charts found on pages 3 & 6 provide information on the catalog # and the width of each fabric. This same information may be found on the back of each fabric swatch. STEP 2 MOUNTING AND MEASUREMENTS Select Inside or Outside Mount and enter accurate Width and Length measurements of the window opening (Inside mount) or the area you are covering (Outside Mount) into the Order Form. Brad is a Moolie STEP 3 CONTROLS, ROLL DIRECTION & BEAD CHAIN ( Color ) Select Roll direction: Standard ( off the back ) or Reverse ( off the front ), and which side the controls are to be located. Standard Bead Chain is available in 4 colors and metal. Enter all information into Order Form. STEP 4 HEMBAR SELECTION Select Hembar (Heat Sealed or External Hembar included in price chart), or optional Fabric Wrapped (surcharge applies). Make selection in Order Form. STEP 5 TOP TREATMENTS Select Top Treatment : Choice of Top Treatments ( shown on pages ) include Inside Bracket ( IB ) Valance, 4 Fabric Wrapped Valance, 3 Round or Square Cassettes, 4 Square and Cassettes with or without matching Fabric Inserts, and the Ultimate Head Rail. 7 Roller Shades Fabrics and Product Information Coulisse Roller Shade Fabrics Fabric selection can be made from the Coulisse fabric books; Essential, Nature, and Solar Screen Fabrics. Solar Screen Fabrics are approved for Outdoor Use (Outdoor Clutch must be selected when using outside). All fabrics swatches have a label on the back that will identify the catalog #, color, maximum width, any flame retardant properties, and type of transparency. Fabric width will be 1 1/8 to 1 3/8 narrower than the finished shade of the tube and its components. Minimum width of a roller shade is 12 (Length for short widths should not exceed 2.5 times the width until the width approaches 36 ). Railroading is a common practice when the width of your window exceeds the natural width of the fabric. The fabric can be turned to accommodate your width, with the new maximum length being the original width of the fabric less 12 ( Used to make the Hembar and to pre-wrap roller). A seam may be present at the top of the shade when fully extended. Shades will have a maximum of one ( 1 ) seam for any length. Fabrics that are railroaded may curl along the edge. This is not a defect in the product. When railroading shades, please identify on your order all shades located in the same room so all of these may be railroaded from the same roll of fabric for best possible match. Recommend Roller Shades over 144 wide be motorized due to shade weight. Shades exceeding 168 must be made as multiple shades, and coupled together when being motorized. Lift Systems & available upgrades All Roller Shades are fabricated with a Rollease clutch and included in the cost shown in the price charts. Steel bracket mounting space required for each tube size: 1.5 tube ( 2.5 ), 2 tube ( 3 ), 3 tube ( 4.5 ) Select the Galaxy 200 Heavy Lift Clutch for shades exceeding 96 in width (Up to 20 lbs.). All Window Shades are fabricated using a standard safety device ( meets WCMA-ANSI provisional standards.) Color coordinated (Vanilla, Black, White and Gray) plastic bead chains (# 10) are standard. Optional Metal Bead Chain (Nickel Plated Steel) may be requested. Stainless Steel chains are recommended for Outdoor Use only and must be requested at time of order. Please specify in Comment Section on order form. Cord length is 2/3 the length of the shade, unless otherwise specified. Shades will be fabricated with the fabric rolling off the back (Standard Roll Direction) of the tube. Reverse Roll (fabric rolls off the front) may be specified when ordering for no additional charge. Reverse Roll is NOT compatible with Cassette, Round or Square Metal Fascia Top Treatments. Top Treatments and Hembars Cassettes, Fascia s, fabric wrapped cornices & IB shade valances shown in Options and Upgrades. Heat Sealed Hembar, or an External Hembar come standard. Natural materials such as paper, jute and cotton are the base materials for this collection. Small irregularities, as well as, slight fraying possible at the edges may occur and are considered * normal characteristics. Natural materials may crack. split, twist, bow and flare. Natural materials may experience color changes over time due to aging, direct sunlight and other climatic conditions. Climatic conditions may cause the shade length to stretch or shrink. Normal characteristics are not considered defects in the product or workmanship. 5

Each Fabric is defined by an openness factor which translates into the amount of sunshine that is transmitted through the fabric. Darker fabrics with a higher openness factor are more easily seen through. For more privacy, lighter fabrics with lower openness factors should be considered. 6

18 Cable-Guided Outdoor System - $ 92 The system allows the bottom of the shade to be secured during an outside installation. A guided cable is attached to the top of the system and runs vertically along the side of the roller shade. The cable system can be attached to a wall, window frame or floor. Dual Shade Bracket - $37 / pair Maximum Width: 96, Maximum Length: 108 Dual Shade Brackets enable hanging 2 roller shades on one bracket. The bracket is available in 2 styles : Vertical or Horizontal orientation. Please specify Vertical or Horizontal mount when ordering. Vertical Mount: shades are stacked one on top of the other. We recommend the top roller be Standard roll (fabric rolls off the back) and the bottom roller be Reverse roll (fabric rolls off the front). Compatible with IB Shade Valance or Fabric Wrapped Cornice Board. Not Compatible with Cassettes. XXXXX Horizontal Mount: Shades are mounted at the same height, one in back of the other. 26 Ordering XL Pleat Shades STEP 1 SELECT FABRIC Enter fabric catalog # and color into the XL Pleat Order Form. Confirm the Fabric Width meets the width requirements of the window. If the window width exceeds the fabric width, confirm the fabric can be overlapped. STEP 2 MOUNTING AND MEASUREMENTS Select Inside or Outside Mount and enter accurate Width and Length measurements of the window opening ( Inside mount) or, the area you are covering ( Outside Mount) into the Order Form. STEP 3 CONTROLS Select which side the controls are to be located. Enter selection into Order Form. The fabrics are referenced in the books with the catalog # s and color, and symbols indicating the width, transparency and, moisture and fire characteristics. A complete material chart may be referenced for additional information in the back of the XL Pleat Fabric Book. Fabrics range in width from 71 to 93 and may be overlapped to achieve a wider shade. Reduces solar heat gain and offers some solar protection. Transparent: Fabric that allows light to pass through. Objects situated beyond or behind can be distinctly seen. Reduces solar heat gain and gives solar protection. Dim out: A room darkening fabric that absorbs approximately 50-70% of a direct light source. 76 ORDERING TERMS AND CONDITIONS Orders should be placed using the Order Forms provided in the appendix section of this Retail Shade Guide and faxed to our Customer Service Staff at Verbal orders are accepted at the customers responsibility. Telephone orders will be repeated back to each caller and our Customer Service Staff will encourage the use of the Order Forms to properly document your order details. FABRIC SAMPLES $ 5 FOR THE 1ST THREE FABRICS, $ 1 FOR EACH THERE AFTER IN 1 SHIPMENT UP TO 8 FABRICS ( 3.5 X 4 ) FREIGHT All Orders over $2000 will receive free ground shipping via UPS standard service. Shades over 98 will be shipped Common Carrier. Call for freight quote. Order confirmations Confirmations will be sent via or fax at your request. Please confirm accuracy of your order within 24 hours of receipt of the Orders Confirmation. Contact Customer Service immediately should you have any questions related to your order. All orders for custom products are final once they enter the fabrication process ( ~ 48 hours from receipt of Order ). Once fabrication has begun on your order, no changes or cancellations can be made. Orders with Multiple ( 3 + ) Shades will only be accepted with written order forms to help insure order accuracy. Incorrect Merchandise: If any or part of your order was made incorrectly, please contact Customer Service within 10 days of receipt of the products. TMS Menagerie will replace the products at no cost if the error occurred from our actions. Replacement Orders at the original cost may be placed if error occurred on the part of the Dealer or Retailer. Returns for Repair: For items returned for repair, check your warranty and then contact Customer Service to arrange for product repairs. An order number for the repairs will be required with a Return Authorization # being provided to the customer. Please clearly mark the outside of the shipment with your Order # and Return Authorization #. All products returned for repair must be properly packaged and have written instructions placed inside the box with clear directions on what repair is being requested. Product that has been mishandled or received in poor condition will be returned to customer at customers expense. Chargebacks for unauthorized repairs or additional installation, or reinstallation cannot be honored. All repairs are subject to return freight charges. 68

78 LIFETIME LIMITED WARRANTY FOR COULISSE SHADE PRODUCTS Coverage extends to the Original purchaser provided the product was installed properly and remains in the original window. COVERED Entire product against manufacturing defects specifically caused by faulty materials or workmanship, and or product design resulting in the product to no longer function. Limited Coverage Cords ( Internal and external ) and Beaded Chains 2 Years All Fabrics & Components 5 Years All Motors 5 Years (Somfy warrants it s motors to be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal and proper use of a period of five ( 5 ) years starting from the date stamped on the motor. Drapery motors, mechanical, electrical and electronic accessories (excluding batteries) are warranted for five ( 5 ) years from the date of the invoice. NOT COVERED Normal wear and tear. Any product that fails due to; Abuse, Accidents, Alterations, Damage from Pets / Insects, Exposure to Salt Air, Extraordinary Use, High Wind Conditions, Improper Cleaning, Improper Handling, Improper Installations, Improper Operations, Misapplication, Misuse. Any Product that, with the passage of time, has; a loss of color intensity, loss of pleating, yellowing or cracking of plastic parts or wood materials. Natural Wood products that have variations in color, grain & texture, and/or warping of wood slats in high humidity areas. Cost associated with; Product Removal, Product Re-measure & Reinstallation, Transportation to and from Retailer, Incidental or Consequential damages, Shipping. In the event there are multiple shades / blinds in the same room, only the defective blind / shade will be replaced. REMEDY THIS SHALL BE YOUR SOLE REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY If the product is found to have a manufacturing defect from materials or workmanship, we will at our sole discretion; Repair the product, Replace the product or Refund the cost of the product. Discontinued items or color selections will be replaced with the closest equivalent current product. STATE LAW This Lifetime Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. WARRANTY 01/07 T2130 WOVEN WOOD SHADES INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS Your quality Woven Wood Shade has been custom crafted to your ordered measurements and comes with the necessary installation hardware for mounting the shade inside or outside the window frame. BEFORE MOUNTING THE SHADE Hold the shade against the window opening to determine if shade is made for inside or outside installation. (See Figs. 1 and 2.) HOW TO INSTALL YOUR WOVEN WOOD SHADE Please take a few minutes to read these instructions. When properly installed, your shade will provide many years of beauty and dependable service. Otherwise, see below for mounting instructions. Shade is fabricated to fit inside the window casement. While holding the headrail firmly against the casement, drill 1/16" pilot holes into the casement through the small round holes in the headrail. (Do not drill pilot holes through the slots in the headrail.) Use the 2-inch wood screws to attach the shade to the window casement. If shim is used to level headrail, make sure that it is in place before tightening screws. While holding the headrail level against the window frame or wall, lightly mark on the mounting surface the positions of the headrail slots. Hold each installation bracket against the mounting surface and mark for two diagonal screw holes. (Fig. 5.) Position brackets to line up with centers of slots in headrail. Drill pilot holes and use appropriate fastener screws, wall anchors or toggle bolts to mount brackets. Push the headrail up onto the brackets so that the threaded posts on the brackets fit through the slots in the headrail. (See Fig. 6.) The installation brackets are mounted to the ceiling. While holding the headrail level against the ceiling, lightly mark on the ceiling surface the positions of the headrail slots. Hold each installation bracket against the ceiling and mark for two diagonal screw holes. (Fig. 7.) Position brackets to line up with centers of slots in headrail. Drill pilot holes and use appropriate fastener screws, wall anchors or toggle bolts to mount brackets. Brackets must be aligned from front to back. Each bracket must be equal distance from the glass. Push the headrail up onto the brackets so that the threaded posts on the brackets fit through the slots in the headrail. (See Fig. 6.) Secure the headrail to installation brackets by tightening wing nuts. SHADE ADJUSTMENT Your shade has been carefully inspected and adjusted to operate properly. Once installed however, minor adjustments may be necessary. The yarn in your Woven Wood shade is flexible enough to straighten to window opening by stretching the yarn. Pull down on the short side to eliminate unevenness and align the shade. If the shade is not flat when lowered, roll the shade tightly from the bottom and then twist the roll from the ends (one end clockwise and the other counter-clockwise) to align yarn and slats. (Fig. 8) Should a strand of yarn slip out from the edge of the woven wood fabric, it may be removed with scissors (from top to FIG. 8 bottom of shade) without affecting the strength of the shade. TO OPERATE YOUR SHADE Your shade is equipped with a locking mechanism that holds the shade at the desired height. To raise or lower the shade, pull and angle the lift cords toward the middle of the shade. (Fig. 10) A slight tug will release the cord lock allowing shade to be moved up or down. To lock the shade at the desired height, angle the lift cord outward to the side to engage the cord lock. (Fig. 9) If the shade should bind during raising or lowering, check the lift cords for proper alignment on the pulleys (under valance). If your shade is slightly shorter than ordered after you have completed installation, gently grasp the bottom of the shade and pull carefully to stretch the shade back into shape. Shade appears to have uneven edges once hung. Woven materials may have shifted slightly during shipping. Lightly tap the edges of the shade with a flat tool (ruler, etc.) until even. 120 15 NON -TRANSFERRABLE LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY TMS-Menagerie warrants manufactured products to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the product provided that (1) the product was properly installed (2) the product is fabricated or assembled exclusively from TMS-Menagerie materials and components (3) TMS-Menagerie recommendations were followed with respect to the limitations and specifications of the window treatment. This warranty will remain in effect for a period of three (3) years from the date of invoice. TMS-Menagerie will honor the following vendor warranties: Somfy@ warrants its motors to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal and proper use for a period of five (5) years starting from the date stamped on the motor. Drapery motors, mechanical, electrical and electronic accessories (excluding batteries) are warranted for five (5) years from the date of invoice. Window shading fabric manufacturer s Phifer Sheerweave and Mermet warrant window shading fabrics when properly handled and installed for normal use as interior window shades for a period of ten(10) years, and exterior window shades for a period of five (5) years from date of invoice. TMS-Menagerie warrants that shading material from said vendors will meet or exceed product specifications with regard to mesh configuration, dimension, strength and color. 132 12 DESIGN & OPERATION Fabric Collections: Sheer shades are available with two different fabric vanes. Sheer shades fabric gently filters light while room darkening casts deep room darkening shadows. Please note that room darkening is not a blackout fabric. Shade Operation: Sheer shades feature the Continuous Cord System. The Continuous Cord System provides the ability to manipulate the shade into various viewing positions. From the closed and retracted position (fabric inside the headrail), lower the fabric by pulling down on the rear of the loop cord until you reach the desired shading position. Once lowered completely to the window sill, continuing to pull the cord in the same direction will open the horizontal fabric vanes, offering varied views to the outside. Continuing to pull the cord in the same direction will lift the shade while still in the view-through mode. To retract the shading, simply pull down on the front of the cord until the shade reaches the desired viewing mode or fabric position. Viewing Options: The Continuous Cord System provides a number of varied views to the outside for controlling light and privacy. Consequently, there are variations in visibility through the shades when the vanes are tilted to their maximum open positions. The following five modes can be obtained with standard shading operation when viewing the shading at eye level. Closed top, open bottom - By partially lowering the shade from the fully raised position, the upper portion of your window will become semi-opaque while allowing a clear view below. Fully private - When lowered completely, the shade provides complete privacy and softly diffuses light. Partially open - Opening the shade slightly will gradually increase the level of light and allow varying levels of view-through." View-through when lowered - By completely opening the vanes, the shade provides a softened, veiled view to the outside. View-through when raised - From the open or view-through position, continuing to pull down on the back of the cord will raise the fabric allowing a clear view outside from below, and a veiled view above. This exclusive feature allows the shade to be raised up to 24" in this mode. figure C Vane Closure (figure C): Sheer shade fabric vanes overlap and provide privacy when closed. However, the inherent nature of the fabric will cause a slight increase in the distance from the front sheer to back sheer as you move further down the shade. These vanes do not form a perfect seal against light leakage which is most visible toward the bottom of the shade. Vane closure is measured as the distance between the front and rear fabric sheers 6" up from the lowest point of the bottom rail, with the shade fully lowered and the vanes closed. For sheer shades, the maximum distance from the front sheer to the back sheer when closed is 7/8". On room darkening fabrics, the distance is 5/8". Vane closure on all 3" fabrics will have a distance of 1" Side-by-Side Alignment: When sheer shades are installed side-by-side, vane alignment can be guaranteed within 1/4" only if: The shades are the same color and ordered at the same time. The sum total of the widths of all shades needing alignment is less than 102". Side-by-side lineup must be specified when the order is placed. TMS-Menagerie

133 13 D E S I G N & O P E R A T I O N (continued) Vane Opening: Vanes on the three styles of sheer shade fabrics open to slightly different degrees. Consequently, there are variations in visibility through the shades when the vanes are tilted to their maximum open positions. The variations among the products are shown in the below illustration when looking through the shading 1/4 of the way up from the bottom. 1 1 /4" 1" 1 1 /2" Leveling Sheer Shades: Sheer shades are leveled and weighted in the factory. When installed level, the fabric will not skew when raised. If the headrail is not installed level, skewing can occur that can damage the edge of the fabric. Be sure to follow the installation instructions carefully to ensure correct and balanced operation. Hardware: Hold Down Brackets Hold down brackets are made of a clear plastic which fit into holes in the end cap of the bottom rail. Hold downs are generally used to secure the bottom of the sheer shade to prevent swaying. Extension Brackets Extension or L" brackets are available which can be used to project the back of the shade 4 1/4" from the mounting surface. Spacer Blocks Spacer blocks project the shade 3/8" from the mounting surface. Use spacer blocks to obtain clearance when obstructions, such as window cranks or door handles, obstruct the movement of the shade. Cord Tensioner: The cord tensioner keeps the cord taut to prevent children and pets from entangling and subsequently injuring themselves. Cord tensioners must be used for this product to comply with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Child Safety guidelines. 2" translucent 2" room darkening 3" fabrics Height Considerations (figure D): Your fabricator will fabricate your sheer shade to the exact height ordered, when the vanes are in the open (or view-through) position. When the vanes are rotated to the closed position, the shade will become 3/8" longer. figure D When closed on an inside mount, a slight puckering may occur on the lower most sheer section because of contact with the sill. To compensate, slightly raise the shading until the rail begins to lift off the window sill. If preferred, the shade can be ordered 3/8" less than the measured height of the window opening. In this case, the bottom rail will be positioned 3/8" above the sill when the vanes are in the open position. Rotating the vanes closed will cause the bottom rail to touch the window sill, closing any space. Skew Adjusting Bottom Rail: After installation, windows that are not square and level may cause the shadings to shift to one side as it rolls up, requiring adjustment of the bottom rail. Bottom rail end caps are weighted with two weights on each side. Remove end cap from rail on finished shade. Weights are added or removed to adjust skewing. 134 14 MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS Precise width and height measurements are critical. Fabric width cannot be altered after the shading is fabricated. Please use a metal tape measure for accuracy from home to factory. The headrail must be installed perfectly level and installed evenly to ensure smooth operation. On an inside mount, it is recommended that you check to see that the mounting surface is level and consistent. If your soffit needs to be leveled, this should be done before measuring. INSIDE MOUNT Measure across the width of your window opening in three different places - top, middle and bottom. Measurements should be taken within the window jamb. Provide the smallest of the three measurements to your fabricator. Be exact. Your fabricator will make the necessary deductions to fit the window opening. Measure the height of the window opening from the underside of the soffit to the surface of the window sill in two places - use the smallest of these two measurements. SIDE MOUNT Sheer shades may be side mounted using L" brackets. For side mounts, follow the instructions for inside mounts. An additional 1/2" will be taken off the standard inside mount deduction to allow room for the L" brackets. The maximum shade width utilizing the side mount option is 48". OUTSIDE MOUNT Measure the exact width and height of the area to be covered. On the width, allow at least 11/2" of an overlap on each side. An overlap of 3" on each side is recommended. Be sure to take into consideration any obstructions such as window trim, molding, locks and window cranks. TMS-Menagerie

135 Version 1 Check the sides of the bottom rail endcaps. If there is a small diamond in the center of the endcaps, your shade utilizes replaceable weights for adjustment. If the fabric is moving to one side (or one side of the bottom rail is higher than the other), slide the endcap from that higher side out of the rail. There are two weights in the endcap already, and two empty positions for new weights. Place a weight in one of the positions. Replace the endcap and check the operation again. If the shade still shifts, add the additional weight. If the shade still shifts, remove weights from the the other endcap for additional adjustment. Left side endcap pictured Cord Tensioner Installation Lower the shading. Choose one of the three installation methods shown to position the tension device on the window frame or the wall so that the tension device and the control cord do not interfere with shade operation. The control cord must be taut but still operable. Do not allow for any slack. Do not twist or cross the control cord. OR OR Installation Instructions Version 2 Flip the bottom rail up so you can see the bottom of the rail. If there are only two screws, placed one inch from the ends of the rails, the bottom rail utilizes the adjustable screws method. If the fabric is moving to the right (or the right side of the bottom rail is higher than the left), turn the left side screw clockwise. If the fabric is moving to the left (or the left side of the bottom rail is higher than the right), turn the right side screw clockwise. Step 4. CHILD SAFETY The American National Standard for Safety of Corded Window Covering Products (ANSI) requires the use of a cord tie down (cord tensioner) on all continuous loop cord systems. The use of such a device is intended to significantly reduce the occurrence of infant or small child strangulation injuries or deaths resulting from the looped pull cords on various window treatment products. The Cord Tensioner is installed on the Lift Cord before packaging. The Tensioning device should be mounted in the proper position to pull the cord taut in order to reduce the possibility of injury. Step 5. HOLD DOWN INSTALLATION (optional) Use the pin on the hold down bracket to punch out the front hole on the bottom rail end cap. Mount the hold down to the side or back of the window frame so that the pin lines up with the front hole in the bottom rail end cap with the shade fully lowered and fully open. Lower the shading and flex the hold down bracket outward so that the pin can be inserted into the hole in the end cap. CLEANING AND CARE The soft and delicate feel of Sheer Horizontal Window Shadings belies the durability of the material. Sheer Horizontal Window Shadings are made of sturdy, knitted polyester fabrics and may be feather dusted or vacuumed at a low suction setting. Spots or stains can be rubbed clean with a damp sponge and mild soap. To avoid discoloration of the material, we recommend against the use of chemical cleaners. If necessary the shading may be ultrasonically cleaned by a professional. All knitted fabrics experience weave variations due to heat, humidity and other room conditions. These variations can result in slight bowing, puckering and dimpling of the Sheer Horizontal material. The possible variations are minor and have been shown through case study not to detract from the beauty of this product. 136 BASICS A few simple tools are required: - Measuring tape - Carpenters Level - Power drill or Phillips head Screwdriver - ¼" Hex head and/or Phillips driver bit Additional fasteners other than those sent with your shading may be required depending on the mounting surface. Wallboard and plaster require the use of anchors such as expansion or toggle bolts. Brick, tile or stone need special plugs and drill bits. Remember to always pre-drill holes in wood to avoid splitting. Fully Recessed Inside Mount Low light gap wedges can be used to reduce the top light gap when the shade is mounted fully recessed. The wedge is placed between the mounting surface and the bracket with the tabs on the wedge facing down and the thick end of the wedge toward the back of the bracket. Outside Mount Step 2. HANGING THE SHADE Bump Stops (used standard headrail) Before installing the shading, it is important to check the position of the bump stops inside the headrail. There are two stops which prevent the bottom rail from travelling too far into the headrail. These bump stops need to be at the ends of the headrail, butting up to the endcap. This will prevent the bottom rail from stacking unevenly in the headrail. Bump Stop Mounting Bracket Extension/Side mount Bracket Step 1. BRACKET INSTALLATION End brackets should be located with centerlines 2" in from each end. Depending on the width of the shading, additional brackets may be necessary evenly spaced between the two end brackets. Extension Brackets (optional) Optional Extension Brackets are used to project the back of the shading up to 2 1/2" from the mounting surface. Attach the Standard Mounting Bracket to the Extension Bracket with the nut and bolt provided. Side Mount (optional) Measure from window sill up to desired mounting position on each side of the window frame. Mark position. Mount Side Mount Brackets on each side of window frame as shown. Make sure to confirm that headrail will sit perfectly level. Once Side Mount Brackets are installed and properly positioned, attach the Standard Mounting Brackets using the nuts and bolts provided. Position screw in center of slot so you can adjust position of bracket as necessary 2 minimum surface required 3/4 minimum surface Push the rail back until it is fully engaged. Install Headrail To remove the shading, partially lower the shading and insert a flat head screwdriver as shown (fig.10). Twist the screwdriver until the headrail disengages from the bracket. Step 3. OPERATION Pulling down on the back cord will lower the shading. When the window shading is completely lowered, pulling down on the back cord will open the vanes. Continued pulling in this direction will raise the fabric with the vanes in the open position. The window shading must only be raised a maximum of 24" in this manner to avoid damaging the fabric. There is a stop pre-set in the deluxe headrail to allow only 24" of reverse roll-up. There is no stop on the standard headrail. DO NOT reverse roll more than 24. Pulling down on the front cord will close the vanes and then raise the shading. Equalization Adjustment After installation, the shade may shift to one side as it rolls up, and require adjustment at the bottom rail. The shade has one of two possible versions of bottom rail. One version utilizes adjustment screws. The other version utilizes replaceable weights. TMS-Menagerie
