The most popular date of marriage in 2012 was 12/12/2012 (2,061 marriages performed) and the second most popular date was 10/20/2012 (1,467 marriages performed). The 2012 marriage rate (7.4 per 1,000 population) in Florida is 1.7 times the 2012 dissolution rate (4.3 per 1,000 population). Of the 81,490 dissolutions of marriage in 2012, over half (55.8 percent) did not affect any minor children. The mean duration of marriage resulting in a 2012 dissolution was 10 years.
