The MINI Convertible is fitted with an active roll-over protection system made from high-strength aluminium. Discreetly nestled behind the headrests, it deploys in approx. milliseconds should a roll-over occur. The MINI Roadster features two static roll-over bars made of polished stainless steel. Together with the extra-stiff windscreen frames, they protect passengers in the event of a roll-over by creating a survival space.
