1 Page 1/6 Frequently Asked Questions Question Can I fit a spare wheel and carrier to a C4 Grand Picasso - C4GP Answer I have just bought a 2007 C4 Grand Picasso (For the NEW C4 Picasso B78 - please scroll down the page) and have a pristine puncture kit and air pump. What I would like is to have a spare tyre. The C4 handbook suggests there could be scope for under car storage. Is there a kit I can buy to do this in the Grand Picasso? Maybe spares for the C4? I know it isn't possible on an Exclusive due to the Pneumatic suspension. With the Exclusive models there is no room to carry a spare under the car (lower spec models can have a cradle fitted but the pneumatic suspension on the GP rules that out) However this is the parts list which shows which bits go where:

2 Page 2/6 Answer: Yes it's possible (but not on an exclusive) and you will potentially require the following: C6555T2-31R003 Hog Ring 0.74, C6913V8-31R002 Crimp Bolt x 0.77ea, C6922C7-31R001 Self Taper 0.36ea, C6935A6-31R003 Nut with Base x 0.14ea C7603Q5 - Z/stack Wheel Open Mechanism x All in 85 plus VAT. The lug on the end of the wire now fits perfectly in the centre of the space saver wheel. 2. The holes in the boot floor line up perfectly with the holes in the mechanism. 3. The extension wrench now also fits the mechanism. 4. Didn't need the crimp or self tap bolts, the studs were already in place and long enough. It was a 10 minute job (tighten 4 nuts) to fix the mechanism under the boot, now the spare resides there comfortably, barely visible from the rear of the car unless you grovel on the floor. Total cost about 170 ( 40 rim from Citroen, 30 tyre from Ebay, 100 mechanism from Citroen) Phil wrote... Please be aware... fitting full size spares underneath the back of the C4P and GP seriously reduces ground clearance... as advised in the handbook. We've just fitted one to a GP and were surprised just how much it protrudes and how visible it is from behind the car.

Personally after seeing the full size fitted, I'd be pretty much resigned to making do with a space saver as a back up.
