4 Poly16 Plus Compression Fittings Components an etaile notes A complete range of compression fittings allows assembly on all types of polyethylene pipes (PE HD, PE D, PE 80, PE 100) an PEX-a with no nee to isassemble the fitting. After loosening the nut, the pipe can be inserte irectly to the pipe-stop (Pushfit type) The boy, in black polypropylene, is esigne an manufacture as a unique moular construction with axial reinforcements. The prouction batch number is marke on the boy, ensuring easy traceability. The thrust ring, in polypropylene, applies pressure on the lip gasket after the nut has been tightene allowing an ieal compression of the gasket on the pipe. The thrust ring grips the boy so that it cannot be lost in cases where isassembling of the fitting is require. 2.1 For fittings Ø : The polypropylene thrust ring efines, while tightening the nut, the compression of the spring gasket (see pt. 5 ) The floating split ring, in polyacetal, allows perfect resistance to possible pull-out forces without having a negative impact on the tightness of the fitting. The nut in light blue polypropylene offers an outstaning resistance to impact. The nut is perfectly resistant to UV rays, too. 5. The only fitting with prelubricate ouble lip gasket in NBR patene by Georg Fischer allowing to overcome: ovalizescratche-unersize pipes.thanks to the active sealing system, the ouble lip gasket guarentees a perfect aherence to the pipe increasing the contact surface. The ouble lip gasket grants high resistance in case of vacuum an/or suction, too. 5.1 For fittings Ø : A fitting with spring gasket that simplifies an spees up the insertion of the pipe assuring a perfect an constant seal an resistance to the internal pressure even in case of ovalize/scratche-unersize pipes, thanks to the particular shape of the gasket that covers a wie surface of the pipe. The lip-shape of the inferior part of the gasket allows its optimal placing into the seat of the boy an the constant keeping of its position uring the time granting a high resistance also in case of vacuum an/or suction. 5 Poly16 Plus Compression Fittings Assembly Instructions Ø Please check all components (seal, thrust ring, split ring). Cut the pipe square an eburr it. Grease the seal, in case it is ry. Partially unscrew the nut 2. Mark the insert epth on the pipe. Push the fitting on the pipe through the split ring until the first stop, meaning you have reache the seal. 3. Push the pipe through the seal until you reach the pipe stop of the fitting. 4. Tighten the nut as tightly as possible. Tightening with Poly16 Plus eicate wrench recommene up to size OK 3 4 Ø Please check all components (gasket, thrust ring, split ring). Cut the pipe square an eburr it. No chamfering. Partially unscrew the nut. 2. Push the fitting on the pipe until you have reache the pipe stop. 3. Tighten the nut as tightly as possible with a Poly16 Plus wrench, or a special wrench for fittings

28 Poly16 Plus Repairing Coupling Assembly Instructions Z 1. Cut the pipe close to the amage. Max pipe istance (Z) accoring to Table A. Chamfer the pipes for sizes up to 63mm an grease the seal if necessary. No chamfering Ø Insert nut an grip ring on both sies of pipe ens. 3. Mark the pipe as inicate in the rawing (sign in corresponence of the thrust ring). 4. Insert the fitting on one sie of the pipe until the pipe comes out. 5. Align the two pipes an slie the fitting till the mark on the pipe. 6. Slie the grip ring till the right position on the thrust ring. 7. Tighten the nut with a Poly16 Plus wrench. 30 Poly16 Plus Universal Fittings Technical features & Assembly Instructions 1. Cut the pipe at a 90-egree angle (square cut). When possible, it is recommene to bevel the eges of the cut in orer to make the insertion easier. Attention! Non-compliance with Poly16 Plus Kits. 2. Slacken the ring nut without removing from the boy. In case the internal components are isassemble (for example ue to its transport), please follow the assembly instructions for the components which can be foun in the Universal Kit set. 3. Insert the pipe en without tightening the nut. Push the fitting until the pipe reaches the stop. 4. Han tighten the nut an then tighten further with a proper tool. Do not screw the Universal nut without pipe. In orer to isassemble the Universal nut, follow the Kit assembly instructions in reverse orer, keeping in min that the Universal split ring may require a manual opening of the ens to unnail the steel grippers from the pipe. 29

34 POY16 Plus Clamp Sales Assembly instructions 1. Check all components. Clean the pipe. 2. Place the bolts in the lower part of the sale an put it uner the pipe. 3. Set properly the gasket into its seat 4. ine up the threae part with the lower part. 5. Insert washers an nuts without tightening in epth until the first sale blocking (*). 6. Drill the pipe in corresponence of the offtake (**). 7. Assemble a male aaptor on the offtake (use teflon tape) 8. Complete the screwing of the bolts until the two parts of the sale touch each other. Please note: (*):In orer to make easier the assembling of male aaptor threae part, avoi to screw too much the bolts of the clamp sale (**): Caution, o not tighten too much the nuts before the installation of the fitting. 33
