The cold runner systems built by Günther permit trouble-free, material-saving and material-compatible production of molded LSR components. Moreover, the cold runner systems also benefit from the special features of Günther's hot runner systems, such as simple construction, modular nozzle design, and excellent thermal separation between nozzle and cavity. In order to provide good thermal separation between the hot cavity plate and the cold side, Günther has ensured that the contact surface at the nozzle tip is kept as small as possible. The floating bearing helps to compensate for thermal expansion, and the controlled flow of cooling media leads to an optimum temperature profile. The nozzles can be installed either as single units or in a group housing for closer nest spacing, with common inflow and outflow. In this way, Günther offers a complete cold side that can be purchased as a standardized component for efficient integration in corresponding molds. The advantages of Günther's cold runner technology are: Cold side as a standardized component A cooling circuit can supply up to 4 series-connected nozzles with cooling media. The heated backing plate serves for mounting/unmounting or coupling/decoupling the cavity plate. If requested by a customer, the heated backing plate can be designed to heat the cavity plate. 3 From Baby Pacifiers to High-Tech-Products Due to the universal material properties, products made of Liquid Silicone Rubber are extremely versatile, e.g. for applications in Automotive industry Electrotechnology Dental and medical technology Household and sanitary technology Filling differences can be equalized by the variable needle stroke during the injection process. The needles are adjusted from outside during the injection process, without having to unmount the nozzle side. An additional on the nozzle shaft provides the necessary sealing tightness in the mold, plus better thermal separation. Nozzle tip and needle guide are kept in position very accurately by a Belleville spring, which also compensates for thermal expansion. If necessary, wearing parts such as nozzle tip, needle guide, needle, seal, Belleville spring, and can be replaced very easily. Cold runner systems with needle valves also permit lower filling speeds. The choice of pneumatic or electric needle actuation depends on the application, the available space, and the size of the mold. Single-needle valve, pneumatic Integration in the mounting plate. Special openings in the mold's mounting platen permit the needle insertion depth to be adjusted individually from outside. 6 Modular Cold Runner Technology Günther offers adapted, modular cold runner hardware that can be installed easily and securely in molds, and enables stable injection molding processes to be achieved quickly. Mold makers can use their own know-how, and purchase the cold runner technology as a standard component. Günther's cold runner systems permit waste-free production of moldings with high component quality.
