Take a closer look at the cover page of this brochure and you will see depicted there a number of new issues that are now challenging the automotive industry. Connectivity, Digitisation and Tomorrow s Service & Mobility are among the areas to be highlighted at Automechanika Frankfurt 016. At the same time, the new subline The world s leading trade fair for the automotive service industry provides an indication of the scope and breadth of the exhibits on show at this global event. Automechanika Frankfurt is and is destined to remain the shop window for innovations in the automotive aftermarket across the entire value chain. As an international meeting place for all market participants from the industry, dealership trade and maintenance and repair segment, it provides a major platform for business and technological knowledge transfer. In 014, Automechanika Frankfurt attracted 4,660 exhibitors from 4 countries more than ever before. Around 140,000 professional visitors from 16 countries made their way to this major metropolis on the river Main with a view to gaining a comprehensive overview of the automotive technologies of the future. For the decision-makers of the sector, the trade fair is an unmissable chance to forge valuable contacts, which means it also provides you with a great opportunity to present your company and your products to a keenly interested professional audience. 3 Workshop equipment for every requirement The A to Z of maintenance and repair tools and instrumentation Parts & Components clearly structured for ease of access Electronics & Systems for the first time in Hall 4.1 When it comes to vehicle parts, nothing can touch Automechanika. All the major component manufacturers and suppliers will be represented in Frankfurt, keen to present their innovations on this international stage. One of the clearly discernible trends: electronic components are gaining in importance, a development that is also reflected by the new hall allocation system. Products under the Electronics & Systems heading are to be located for the first time in Hall 4.1. That means that the vehicle parts area will extend over half the floor space of Automechanika Frankfurt. Workshop equipment for repairs, testing, diagnostics and corrective maintenance is showcased at Automechanika with a unique breadth and depth of products and services. No wonder that one in four visitors in 014 were from the workshop sector. There was again particular interest in commercial vehicles and workshop systems and these areas are being further expanded in 016. The offer from Asian exhibitors is being grouped together in the World of Asia and can be found in the Parts & Components and in the Accessories & Customizing product areas at the Agora, in Hall 4. and for the first time in the Repair & Maintenance area in Hall

The combination and networking of individual areas gives rise to integrated solutions that will make any automotive business more efficient and effective. Automechanika brings together exhibitors and knowledgeable professionals with high decision-making competence. Automechanika Frankfurt is stepping up its game in relation to Accessories & Customizing. Exhibitors will find the ideal presentation facilities for their products in Hall 3.1. Latest developments from the 3D printing sector, the future of wheel production and car wrapping, and also from the world of mobile infotainment will be prominent. In 016, the aftersales world of tomorrow is to be showcased in Festhalle Frankfurt, where visitors will be able to see for themselves how the workshop of the future is likely to look. Through automated, in some cases virtualised processes, customer requirements and vehicle demands are being fulfilled with increasing efficiency and individualisation. Under the spotlight are areas such as Connectivity, Alternative Drives, Automated Driving and Mobility Services. There will be innovations on display that already exist today, as well as those signposting the way towards mobility in the years to come. 6 Washing, cleaning, valeting Adding weight to Truck Competence Car Wash City now at Outdoor Areas and F11 Increasing interest in commercial vehicles Truck Competence is gaining further ground at Automechanika. 014 already saw more than 1,000 stands sporting the special pictogram that s more than a quarter of all exhibitors. Companies with Truck Competence in their portfolio are also being included in a visitors guide offering, for example, transport companies, haulage firms and fleet operators a valuable orientation aid. Trucks and commercial vehicles generally attract plenty of attention, with more than 55 % of all visitors expressing a strong interest in this field last time, rising to 60 % in the case of professionals from abroad. The new location at Outdoor Areas and F11 takes the Car Wash, Care & Reconditioning product group right to the heart of the trade fair, with Oil & Lubricants in the immediate vicinity for perfect synergy and symmetry

7 Highlights with added value Rewarding ideas, enthralling presentations, new qualifications The Innovation Awards have been around since 16. They are conferred by an expert jury in a total of nine categories. 016 therefore sees the tenth edition of this award series, to which will be added for the first time the Green Award for the most sustainable solution of all entries submitted. The winners enjoy all the benefits of high-level attention, particularly as the awards are a firmly established feature of the opening ceremony. In addition, all the award-winning ideas and products are showcased in a widely acclaimed special exhibition. The Automechanika Academy offers a unique information platform that includes a programme of lectures and presentations. Experts from the sector will be talking about the latest trends in their particular fields at decentralised locations close to different exhibitors. The building, for example, will once again be the venue for the ever-popular Damage Discussion directly opposite Hall 11 where all the Painting products and services are accommodated. Training and professional development will again be an area of focus in 016.
