14 SPHERICAL SUCTION CUPS The SPHERICAL SUCTION CUPS are general purpose suction cups. Realised in silicon with hardness 45 Shore, they can withstand temperatures of up to 250 C. 15 BELLOWS-TYPE SUCTION CUPS The BELLOWS-TYPE SUCTION CUPS shorten on contact with the surface of the piece to grip. They have the capacity to adapt to the piece surface and draw it toward them. 16 OVAL SUCTION CUPS The OVAL SUCTION CUPS are applied when adequate sized round cups can t be used due to space limitations. They are realised in silicon with hardness 45 Shore and can withstand temperatures of up to 250 C The metal holder of the OVAL SUCTION CUPS is realised in chrome plated brass. OVAL SUCTION CUPS can be ordered with or without metal holder. Due to their shape these suction cups must be fitted to a non-rotating support to prevent rotation. They are realised in chrome plated brass. They are fastened to the gripper structure by tightening the nut and lock nut. They are usually installed on the gripper through the TUBE SUCTION CUP SUPPORT CONNECTORS or PROFILE SUCTION CUP SUPPORT CONNECTORS. The suction cups are installed on THREADED SPRING-LOADED SUCTION CUP SUPPORTS through metal holders adding, if necessary, SUCTION CUP EXTENSIONS. 21 SUCTION CUP THREADED SUPPORTS The SUCTION CUP THREADED SUPPORTS have a long threaded section that allows for easy adjustment of the distance between the suction cup and the piece to grip. They are realised in chrome plated brass. They are fastened to the gripper structure by tightening a nut and a lock nut. They are normally installed on the gripper through TUBE-SUCTION CUP SUPPORT CONNECTORS or through PROFILE-SUCTION CUP SUPPORT CONNECTORS. The suction cups are installed on SUCTION CUP THREADED SUPPORTS by metal holders, if necessary adding SUCTION CUP EXTENSIONS. Since they are non-rotating they can also be fitted to SUCTION CUP JOINTS and OVAL SUCTION CUPS. The SUCTION CUP THREADED SUPPORTS are supplied with the two nuts and suction fitting. 27 90 TUBE-SUCTION CUP CONNECTORS The 90 TUBE-SUCTION CUP CONNECTORS serve to connect a suction cup to a STAINLESS STEEL TUBE such that the suction cup axis is perpendicular to the tube axis. They are fastened to the STAINLESS STEEL TUBES by screws. The angular position of the 90 TUBE- SUCTION CUP CONNECTORS can be adjusted over 360 around the tube. They are realised in aluminium alloy. The 90 TUBE-SUCTION CUP CONNECTORS are supplied without suction cups and without suction cup metal holders. The suction fitting is supplied with the STAINLESS STEEL TUBE fastening screws. 28 AXIAL TUBE-SUCTION CUP CONNECTORS The AXIAL TUBE-SUCTION CUP CONNECTORS serve to connect a suction cup to a STAINLESS STEEL TUBE such that the suction cup axis is parallel to the tube axis. They are fastened to the STAINLESS STEEL TUBES by means of screws. The angular position of the TUBE- SUCTION CUP AXIAL CONNECTORS can be adjusted over 360 around the tube. They are realised in aluminium alloy. The AXIAL TUBE-SUCTION CUP CONNECTORS are supplied without suction cups and without metal suction cup holders that must be ordered separately. 29 TUBE SUCTION CUP SUPPORT CONNECTORS The TUBE-SUCTION CUP CONNECTORS serve to connect the THREADED SPRING-LOADED SUCTION CUP SUPPORTS or SUCTION CUP THREADED SUPPORTS or THREADED NON- ROTATING SPRING LOADED SUCTION CUP SUPPORT to a STAINLESS STEEL TUBE. These fasten to the STAINLESS STEEL TUBES with specific locking screws. A long hollow slit allows for easy adjustment of the suction cup support position. The position is adjustable over 360 around the tube. They are realised in aluminium alloy. The TUBE-SUCTION CUP SUPPORT CONNECTORS are supplied complete with locking screws. 30 CROSS CONNECTORS The CROSS CONNECTORS serve to connect two STAINLESS STEEL TUBES to form a 90 cross. The CROSS CONNECTORS can also be used to connect two STAINLESS STEEL TUBES of different diameters. They are realised in aluminium alloy. The CROSS CONNECTORS are supplied complete with locking screws. 31 OMEGA CONNECTORS The OMEGA CONNECTORS serve to connect a STAINLESS STEEL TUBE to a flat surface, usually an INTERFACE PLATE or an ALUMINIUM PROFILE. Frequently two of these side by side are used to connect the main tube of the griper s structure to the robot wrist placing, if necessary, an INTERFACE PLATE between them. They are realised in aluminium alloy. The OMEGA CONNECTORS are supplied with screws for fastening the STAINLESS STEEL TUBE. The screws for fastening them to the INTERFACE PLATE or PROFILE NUTS for fastening them to ALUMINIUM PROFILES are not supplied. 32 INTERFACE PLATES The INTERFACE PLATES serve to connect the gripper realised with STAINLESS STEEL TUBES to the robot wrist. Using specific threads, two OMEGA CONNECTORS can be fastened to it side by side. Since they are not standardised, the holes for connecting the INTERFACE PLATE to the robot wrist must be drilled for each specific application. The INTERFACE PLATES are realised in aluminium alloy. On request, the INTERFACE PLATES can be supplied with holes for connecting to the robot wrist: in this case the dimensions G, H and I must be provided. 33 PLATE - TUBE CONNECTORS The PLATE-TUBE CONNECTORS serve to connect a STAINLESS STEEL TUBE or a FLANGED TUBES to a flat surface, with the tube s axis perpendicular to the surface. The surface can be establish by ALUMINIUM PROFILE or a metal sheet. They are realised in aluminium alloy. The PLATE-TUBE CONNECTORS will be supplied without screw and PROFILE NUTS for the fixing to the plate; but will be supplied the screw for the tube lock. 34 STAINLESS STEEL TUBES The STAINLESS STEEL TUBES, along with other components, serve to realise the structure of the grip. They are realised in high strength stainless steel. 36 FLANGED TUBES The FLANGED TUBES serve to connect at their end a suction cup, a SUCTION CUP JOINT etc.. The tube is made in stainless steels, while the end part is made by chrome plated brass. The fixing on the gripper structure can be made by the PLATE-TUBE CONNECTORS, PROFILE-TUBE CONNECTORS,OMEGA CONNECTORS.. 47 PROFILE ROBOT CONNECTORS The PROFILE ROBOT CONNECTORS serve to connect a gripper structure with its main structure realised using an ALUMINIUM PROFILE, to the robot wrist. These consist of two aluminium alloy plates, one of which fastened to the gripper profile by PROFILE NUTS, while the other is fastened to the robot wrist. The two plates are fastened together by four screws, uniting the gripper with the robot wrist. 72 PHOTOELECTRIC SENSOR The PHOTOELECTRIC SENSOR is used to be sure of the piece presence when the grip is not achieved by suction cups. The desired set limit is adjustable by means of an adjuster screw. The led lights up to indicate the reaching of the set limit and so the closure of the electrical switch. Throught a shunter can be selected NO or NC mode and LIGHT or DARK mode. The PHOTOELECTRIC SENSOR is made by two parts: the reading head and the amplifier; the reading head has a small diameter to permit the installation in a small space; the reading head s wire is made by an optical fiber cable one meter lenght. 73 BOX INTERFACE INPUTS The BOX INTERFACE INPUTS it is an electronic circuit, solid state, utilized to synthesize the state of 8 inputs like for instance end-strokes, proximity switches, photoelectric sensors, etc.., in one output. The required state of each inputs can be both ON or OFF: pressing a little button the state of the 8 inputs is memorized and only when it will really repeat him durino the operation of the robot, the output of the box will be activated. 74 QUICK CHANGE CHUCK The QUICK CHANGE CHUK serve to connect the gripper to the robot wrist, quickly and solidly. The gripper can be attached without wrenches or other tools, but simply by means of a centring pin and a spring-loaded knob. This makes attachment immediate and assures precise positioning of the grip in relation to the robot wrist.
