2 Please read the entire instruction manual before proceeding. Ensure all components listed are present. If you are missing any of the components, call customer support at Ensure you have all necessary tools before proceeding. Do not attempt to work on your vehicle when the engine is hot. Disconnect the negative battery terminal before proceeding. Retain factory parts for future use. Label Qty. 4 REMOVAL Figure A Refer to Figure A for steps 1-4 Step 1: Remove the throttle body cover using a 6mm nut driver. 1 Step 2: Unclip the PCV vent tube from the valve cover. 2 Step 3: Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor from the intake by pulling the red safety clip then pull to disconnect. 3 Step 4: Loosen the throttle body clamp using an 8mm nut driver. 4 Page 4

5 INSTALL Figure B Refer to Figure B for step 5 Step 5: Unclip the tabs from the OE air box then lift and remove the air box and intake tube as one. Page 5 afepower.com

6 INSTALL 5 Figure C Refer to Figure C for steps 6-9 Step 6: Pre-assemble the afe housing. Install the filter adaptor using the hardware provided. 5 Step 7: Pre-assemble the reduction coupler using an 8mm nut driver and the supplied clamps. Leave loose. Step 8: Install the seal trim placing the cut corner in the inside of the housing. Press down tightly. Step 9: Install the afe air filter. Page 6

7 INSTALL Figure D Refer to Figure D for steps Step 10: Pre-assemble the afe Full Metal power intake. Remove the MAF sensor from the OE air box using the supplied T-20 bit and reinstall in the afe intake using the hardware provided. Use a flat head screw driver to tighten. (Be careful not to overtighten) Step 11: Pre-assemble the PCV vent line to the vent tube on the afe intake. Use the provided mini clamp to tighten the hose. Page 7 afepower.com

8 INSTALL Figure E Refer to Figure E for steps Step 12: Install the pre-assembled afe housing on top of the lower portion of the OE air box then use the OE tabs to hold the housing in place. 6 Step 13: Install the coupling on the throttle body. Then tighten the throttle body side with an 8mm nut driver. Leave the outside clamp lose. 7 Page 8

9 INSTALL 8 Figure F Refer to Figure F for steps Step 14: Install the pre-assembled afe intake tube on the throttle body side first then to the housing. Align and adjust as need then tighten down with an 8mm nut driver. Step 15: Connect the PCV vent hose to the valve cover vent, tighten with the provided mini clamp. 8 Page 9 afepower.com

10 INSTALL 6 Figure E Refer to Figure E for steps Step 16: Reconnect the MAF sensor and secure. Press in the red clip to secure plug and re-install the throttle body cover. 9 Step 17: Make sure all clamps and hardware is tightened and secure. Make sure the MAF sensor harness does not come in contact with any moving parts. Note: Re-tighten all connections after approximately miles of initial installation. Place the included CARB EO sticker on or near the device on a smooth, clean surface. EO identification label is required to pass the Smog Check Inspection. Page 10

15 Warranty General Terms: afe warrants their products to be free from manufacturer s defects due to workmanship and material. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the product and is non-transferrable. Proof of purchase of the afe product is required for all warranty claims. Warranty is valid provided afe instructions for installation and/or cleaning were properly followed. Proper maintenance with regular inspections of product is required to insure warranty coverage. Damage due to improper installation, abuse, unauthorized repair or alteration is not warranted. Incidental or consequential damages or cost, including installation and removal of part, incurred due to failure of afe product is not covered under this warranty. All warranty is limited to the repair and/or replacement of the afe part.
