ONNTOR - Plug this connector into the mating connector A on the dash harness (bag G) and connect wires as follows: Wire olor Function escription PINK 12v Ignition This wire is only used with an Oil Pressure Warning Lamp (see page 3) (or as the main ignition feed with any aftermarket gauge cluster). Plug this wire into connector in the cavity indicated on page 2. Route this wire to the oil pressure warning lamp location. ut to length and install terminal K, plug into connector G. (OPTIONAL) Use cut off portion of wire and create an in-line splice to provide 12V ignition power to an aftermarket tach. GRY Instrument Lamps Route this wire to the instrument panel illumination lamps. This will require an in-line splice of the wires to be able to accommodate each of the illumination lamps. lide lamp socket M over each wire and install terminal. BLAK Ground Route this wire to the instrument cluster ground, cut to length, slide on sleeve P, install terminal Q, slide sleeve P over the back of terminal Q. This will plug into the ground female bullet plug on the stock dash assembly. BROWN A Voltage Route this wire to the input side of the const voltage unit (NOT UPPLI), cut to length, install terminal O and plug into connector N. Take the cut off portion of wire and slide on sleeve P then install terminal L. lide sleeve P over the back of terminal L. Plug terminal L into the output side of the const voltage unit, route to the closest gauge and cut to length. If there are multiple gauges you will need to double the cut off portions of wire in a ring terminal supplied in the gauge terminal kit to supply power to all the gauges. Use included locknuts. (ee page 2 for illustration) ONNTOR - Plug this connector into the mating connector B on the dash harness (bag G) and connect wires as follows: Wire olor Function escription K BLU Right Turn Lamp Route this wire to the right hand turn indicator lamp location, cut to length, slide on lamp socket M, install terminal. LT BLU Left Turn Lamp Route this wire to the left hand turn indicator lamp location, cut to length, slide on lamp socket M, install terminal. LT GRN i Beam Lamp Route this wire to the high beam indicator lamp location, cut to length, slide on lamp socket M, install terminal. K GRN Temperature ender Route this wire to the temperature gauge, cut to length, install a ring terminal supplied in the gauge terminal kit. Use included locknut. TAN Fuel ender Route this wire to the fuel level gauge, cut to length, install a ring terminal supplied in the guage terminal kit. Use included locknut. K BLU Oil Pressure ender FOR OIL PRUR WARNING LAMP: Route this wire to the oil pressure warning lamp location, cut to length, slide on lamp socket G and spring J, install terminal. FOR OIL PRUR GAUG (OPTIONAL): If you have the optional oil pressure gauge or decide to use an aftermarket oil pressure gauge you can route this wire to the back of the gauge and install a ring terminal supplied with the gauge terminal kit. o the same with the wire to provide the gauge with 12V. ONNTOR F - Plug this connector into the mating connector on the dash harness (bag G) and connect wires as follows: This connector is only used when using an aftermarket electronic speedometer. Follow the manufacturer s instructions when installing these wires. If you are using a stock or mechanical aftermarket speedometer, you may discard this connector and wires, as they will not be used for your installation. ee page 10 of this instruction sheet for more detailed information regarding the colors of the wires and their installation. LOO WIR WIT Tachometer Used ONLY with a tachometer. Plug this loose wire into connector as shown on page 3 maintaining color continuity with the "TA" wire on the mating dash connector. Route the other end of this wire to the tach, cut to length, and install onto your tach pulse location. PINK 12V ignition This wire can be used for aftermarket gauges if not used for an Oil Pressure Warning Light. Plug this wire into connector and route it to the gauges, see page 9 and follow the gauge manufacturers recommendations. Install terminal, and plug into connector R or in the appropriate ONNTOR - Plug this connector into the mating connector A on the dash harness (bag G) and connect wires as follows: Wire olor Function tock ircuit Board onnection PINK 12v Ignition This wire is only necessary in a factory warning light gauge cluster or an aftermarket gauge cluster. Plug this wire into connector in the location shown on pages 5 and 7. Route this wire to the circuit board and cut to length. Install terminal, and plug into connector R in the appropriate location as shown on pages 5 and 7 depending on your year and application. (OPTIONAL) The cut off portion of this wire can be doubled in terminal T and used to power an aftermarket tach. GRY Instrument Lamps Route this wire to the circuit board and cut to length. Install terminal, and plug into connector R or in the appropriate BLAK Ground Route this wire to the circuit board and cut to length. Install terminal, and plug into connector R or in the appropriate BROWN A Voltage Route this wire to the circuit board and cut to length. Install terminal, and plug into connector R or in the appropriate ONNTOR F - Plug this connector into the mating connector on the dash harness (bag G) and connect wires as follows: This connector is only used when using an aftermarket electronic speedometer. 10 lassic Update eries purple A B F purple yellow F F TYPIAL LTRI PO ONNTION Below are some general instructions for hooking up an electric speedometer. This connector and these instructions will ONLY be used in the event that you are utilizing an aftermarket electric speedometer. If your car does NOT have an electric speedometer, this connection will NOT be used and should not be plugged onto your dash harness. It is best to consult the speedometer manufacturer s instructions if you have any questions. Yellow V Ground onnect to V - on speedometer. Purple V ignal onnect to V input on speedometer. Purple/White V Power onnect to 12V power on speedometer. Black/White peedo Ground onnect to ground on speedometer. Pink/White peedo Power onnect to 12v power on speedometer. Classic Update Series J Clamps Two J-Clamps have been provided to retain the Cluster Kit Wiring in place (see photographs on pages 7 and ). Remove the original J-Clamps from the Cluster and replace with the two J-Clamps item
