1 Features Higher Flow Capacity The straight through flow path allows increased capacity compared to conventional globe style valves. Full ASME Class Shutoff Capabilities In most applications the 590 is capable of full static differential pressure shutoff. Simplified Maintenance Precise machined tolerances allow for easy replacement of the ball seal without the hassle of shims. Shaft seals can be easily replaced without the removal of the shafts. Positive Ball to Shaft Connection A tapered tri-lobe polygon facilitates a positive connection at the ball for more precise and reliable control. Figure 1 Dyna-Flo inch Rotary Control Valve with Size 11 DFRP Actuator The 590 series rotary ball style control valve is used in all kinds of demanding applications, in oil and gas production and chemical process industries. It is also suited to high flow, low pressure drop services. The 590 series is used in both throttling and on/off control of liquids or gases. The straight through unrestricted flow path provides higher capacity than globe style valves. A splined shaft provides accurate control in throttling operations and flexibility in actuation options. The 590 series, when combined with a DFRP piston actuator, is a rugged control valve assembly, to which a wide variety of positioners and accessories can be mounted. High Cycle Life Long PTFE lined bearings allow for minimum wear in control applications. The balance shaft design reduces wear caused by end thrust especially with higher pressures. Tight Shutoff Standard shutoff capabilities are percent of maximum rated capacity. Precise Flow Control The 590 offers a modified equal percentage flow control curve. NACE Compliant Available with NACE MR0175 compliant trim. The 590 control valve is manufactured to a high level of quality specifications to ensure superior performance and customer satisfaction. 1

2 Specifications Available Valve Configurations The 4, 6, 8, 10, 1, and 16 flangeless valves will mate ASME Class 600 and 900. Flangeless rotary ball valve assembly with: Single Ball Seal Dual Ball Seal Flow Ring Maximum Inlet Pressure 4 through 1 inch valve body consistent with Class 600 and 900 ASME B inch valve body consistent with Class 600 ASME B Maximum Allowable Shutoff Pressure Drop Single Seal and Dual Seal: See Figure 9. Flow Ring: Limited by the pressure/temperature rating of the valve body. Material Temperature Capabilities Single Seal and Dual Seal: -50 o F to 180 o F (-46 o C to 8 o C) LCC Body Flow Ring with Fluorocarbon O-Rings: -50 o F to 39 o F (-46 o C to 00 o C) LCC Body Actuator Mounting Right-hand, or Left-hand (as viewed from seal end of valve). In one of 4 positions (1 (Std.), 3, 6, and 9 o clock) with respect to the valve body in a horizontal pipe. 12 Have you seen what else Dyna-Flo has to offer? 4000 Pressure Controller The Dyna-Flo 4000 Series pneumatic pressure controllers are the brains of a self contained, local pneumatic PID control loops. The pressure controller detects the process pressure using a Bourdon tube. The process pressure is then compared to an operator manually adjusted set point, which in turn modulates the controller output. The controller pneumatic output is connected to a final control device, typically a control valve, that changes the process pressure. Siemens PS Positioner The PS is a digital smart valve positioner with onboard programming and HART ready. It has a visual LCD screen for visual programming and diagnostics, which means the PS does not require a handheld. DF410 Tungsten Carbide Trim A Tungsten Carbide trim option is available for the DF410 control valve. Be sure to remember Tungsten Carbide for the DF410 in a severe service application.
