WARNING IMPORTANT: NEVER attempt any work without shutting off the electricity. Go to the main fuse box, or circuit breaker, in your home. Place the main power switch in the OFF position and unscrew the fuse(s), or switch OFF the circuit breaker switch(es), that control the power to the fixture or room that you are working on. Place the wall switch in the "OFF" position. If the fixture to be replaced has a switch or pull chain, place it in the "OFF" position. Do not use bulbs with wattage greater than specified on this fixture. WARNING: California Prop. 65: This lighting fixture contains chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and/or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after use. CAUTION Read and understand all instructions and illustrations completely before proceeding with assembly and installation of this fixture. If you have any doubts about how to install this lighting fixture, or if the fixture fails to operate completely, please contact a licensed electrical contractor. All parts must be used as indicated in these instructions. Do not substitute any parts, leave parts out, or use any parts that are worn out or broken. Failure to obey this instruction could invalidate C.S.A. certification of this fixture. PREPARATION Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product. Estimated assembly time: 30 minutes to 1 hour Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, wire strippers, electrical tape, ladder, safety glasses. 3

4 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 1. Insert long machine screws () through mounting bracket (). With long machine screws () protruding outward, connect the mounting bracket () to the outlet box (not included) with short machine screws (BB). Orient the mounting bracket () so the raised center portion protrudes into the outlet box. ardware Used 1 Outlet Box (Not Included) BB Short Machine x 2 BB Long Machine x 2 2. Wire connection guide: Ground wire: For installation in the United States: Wrap ground wire from outlet box around ground screw on mounting bracket () no less than 2 in. from wire end. Tighten ground screw. If fixture is supplied with a ground wire, connect to outlet ground wire with a wire connector (AA). For installation in Canada: If fixture is supplied with ground wire, wrap ground wire around ground screw on mounting bracket (). Tighten ground screw. Supply wires: Connect the Neutral (White) supply wire from the outlet box to the Neutral fixture wire (White or Parallel Cord D shaped and ribbed). Connect the ot (Black) supply wire from the outlet box to the ot fixture wire (Black or Parallel Cord round and smooth). 5 ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS 3. Pass fixture (A) over the long machine screws () protruding from the mounting bracket () and secure in place with threaded knobs (CC). 53 CC ardware Used CC Threaded Knobs x 2 A 4. Insert bulbs (G) into sockets (D), then attach bulb covers (C). 54 D C G 5. Remove thumbscrews (F) from arms (E). Raise shades (B) to arms (E), securing with thumbscrews (F). 5 B E F CARE AND MAINTENANCE Always be certain that electric current is turned off before cleaning this item. Use a soft, moist cloth with mild non-abrasive soap to clean fixture. Never use glass cleaner on fixture, as it will damage the metal finish. All glass shades may be washed in a towel-lined sink with warm water and mild soap. Do not wash shades in an automatic dishwasher. Bulb Replacement: Use 40-watt max. G9-base bulb. TROUBLESOOTING PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION 1. Fixture may be wired incorrectly. 1. Check wiring. Fixture does not light. 2. Worn or broken bulb. 2. Replace bulb. 5

6 WARRANTY PATRIOT LIGTING WARRANTY 5-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY: This PATRIOT LIGTING brand light fixture carries a five (5) Year Limited Warranty to the original purchaser. If, during normal use, this PATRIOT LIGTING light fixture fails due to a defect in material and workmanship within five (5) years from the date of purchase, simply bring this light fixture with your original sales receipt back to your nearest MENARDS retail store. At its discretion, PATRIOT LIGTING agrees to have the lighting fixture replaced with the same or similar PATRIOT LIGTING product free of charge, within the stated warranty period, when returned by the original purchaser with original sales receipt. Notwithstanding the foregoing, this limited warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by misuse or abuse including but not limited to improper installation, accident, unauthorized repair, maintenance, or modifications of the merchandise. This warranty: (1) excludes expendable parts including but not limited to light bulbs, batteries; (2) carries a 2-year finish warranty protecting finish against tarnishing, flaking, and discoloration; (3) shall be void if this lighting fixture is not installed in the U.S.A; (4) does not cover products installed within three miles of saltwater coastline or any area prone to salt spray; and (5) does not cover any losses, labor, injuries to persons/property or costs. This warranty does give you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. Be careful, it is recommended that installation be done by a qualified professional; the purchaser has sole responsibility for proper installation in compliance with all state and local code requirements. The rights under this limited warranty are to the original purchaser of the Merchandise and may not be transferred to any subsequent owner. This limited warranty is in lieu of all warranties, expressed or implied including warranties or merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Seller shall not be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages. The sole exclusive remedy against the seller will be for the replacement of any defects as provided herein, as long as the seller is willing or able to replace this product or is willing to refund the purchase price as provided above.
