1 Datasheet WMF 2.5 Terminal Series NEW The WMF 2.5 (multi-functional) terminal series is uniquely designed for DCS marshalling where increased functionality, improved spacing, higher wiring density and ease of terminal installation are desired. The WMF 2.5 series is offered in configuration types including fuse, disconnect and feed-through with pluggable connectors. The WMF 2.5 terminals are 5 wide, providing a 20% space savings when compared to typical fuse terminals at 6-8. 2 WMF Terminals WMF 2.5 Terminal Series WMF terminals Weidmuller Multi-Functional The efficient and extremely flexible solution for the routing and distribution of signals 3 Blocks 18 Traditional DCS Cabinet Marshalling 2 Blocks 10 Pre-assembled cables WMF 2.5 Series DCS Cabinet Marshalling In power generation control systems, incoming signals from field devices are often connected with terminal blocks located in DCS marshalling cabi nets. Terminal blocks are used in place of, or along with, other termi nation techno logies such as remote I/O modules and Fieldbus. Terminal blocks provide a robust, simple and clean way to con nect and arrange signal wires. Marshalling / Routing wiring between internal side of terminal blocks and I/O module or FTA DIN-rail Weidmuller s new WMF (Weidmuller Multi-Function) line of terminal blocks is specially designed to improve the way in which DCS marshalling, or signal routing and distribution is performed. This new line provides dramatic cabinet space savings, significant wiring time savings, and additional flexibility through the addition of three cross connection channels. I/O module or Field Terminal Assemblies (FTA) Wire ducts The WMF terminal blocks also feature an integrated shield or ground connection in both the feed through and fuse block terminals, eliminating the need for a separate ground block. The new fuse block design also features disconnect functionality. At only 5 in width, the WMF blocks are 20% to 25% smaller than traditional feed-through and fuse blocks.
