III. TOOL LIST 1. Standard tl kit 2. ¾ wrench 3. ¾ scket 4. 10mm scket 5. 21mm scket 6. 13mm scket 7. 13mm wrench 8. Pliers 9. 5/8 wrench 10. 5/8 scket REMOVAL OF OEM BUMPER 1. Remve all cmpnents frm bx and cmpare t parts list abve 2. Unplug main wiring harness. (lcated abve spare tire) Rev 01 9/2/15 Page 2

3 3. Using 10mm scket, remve blt attaching wiring harness grund t truck. (lcated utside frame rail n left side) 4. Using a 21mm scket, remve six blts attaching OEM bumper/receiver hitch t frame. Remve and set aside face dwn n fam r cardbard. 5. Unplug fur OEM sensrs (if applicable) and tw license plate lights. 6. Unplug trailer plug wiring harness. 7. Remve trailer plug frm bumper by squeezing metal tabs inward. Set aside. Rev 01 9/2/15 Page 3

4 8. Remve license plate lights by gently squeezing tw plastic tabs inward. Set aside. 9. Using a 13mm scket, remve eight blts attaching hitch t bumper. 10. Using a 13mm wrench, remve tw blts attaching metal prtins f bumper t receiver hitch. They are lcated behind the OEM license plate lights. Nte: They are difficult t remve. Remve the spring nuts after remving the blts. They will rattle if nt remved. 11. Rtate bumper 90. The tp f the bumper will nw be n the fam r cardbard surface. Detach tw plastic cnnectrs frm plastic prtin f bumper. 12. Using pliers disengage fur plastic tabs frm hitch and separate the hitch frm the bumper. Pick up n hitch t remve it frm bumper. 13. Carefully remve sensrs and grmmets ne at a time frm OEM bumper and place in Hammerhead bumper. Keep them in rder. Rev 01 9/2/15 Page 4

5 14. Install 4 rund lights and grmmets in Hammerhead bumper. i. Place light in light munt and hld grmmet as shwn. Install grmmet in husing. ii. Push light frm frnt f bumper and seat in grmmet as shwn IV. INSTALLATION OF HAMMERHEAD BUMPER 1. Reinstall OEM hitch using OEM hardware. Nte: Center hitch in frame slts and tighten hardware. 2. Using 10mm scket and OEM blt, reattach grund wire remved in previus step 3. Rev 01 9/2/15 Page 5

6 3. Layut Hammerhead frame munts as shwn. The next tw steps will use hardware frm kit #40. Using six 7/16-14 x 1.5 blts, twelve 7/16 flat washers, six 7/16 lck washers, and six 7/16-14 nuts attach Hammerhead frame munts t OEM receiver hitch. Use 5/8 wrench and scket. D nt fully tighten. 4. Using six ½ -13 carriage head blts, six ½ flat washers, six ½ lck washers, and six ½ -13 nuts fasten Hammerhead bumper t Hammerhead frame munts. Align bumper hrizntally and vertically and tighten nuts using ¾ scket. Nte: Open tailgate slwly t ensure minimum f 3/8 clearance belw tailgate and minimum f 3/8 clearance frm truck bdy. NOTE: If bumper is t lw when pushed all the way up, receiver hitch hardware can be lsened and hitch/bumper can be mved up. 5. Tighten ALL hardware. 6. Install OEM trailer cnnectr and license plate lights. 7. Plug in trailer cnnectr, license plate lights, and sensrs. 8. Wire up reverse lights. See belw. 4 Rund Reverse Light Wiring 1. Black nt used (can be cut ff) 2. Red psitive (wire t psitive side f reverse lights) 3. White grund (wire t negative side f reverse lights) Rev 01 9/2/15 Page 6
