Overview DY-LWGY series Turbine Flow has its simple structure, light weight, high-accuracy, perfect repeatability, sensitivity, easy maintenance and use. It is widely used to measure liquid which has no chemical corrosive reaction with stainless steel 1Cr18Ni9Ti, 2Cr13, corundum Al 2O 3 and cemented carbide. This kind of measured liquid has no impurities such as fiberand particles. The movement viscosity is lower than m 2 /s at working temperature. If the viscosity is higher than m 2 /s, the flowmeter should be calibrated in the liquid before use. It can finish amount control, excess alertandetc if matched with special functional is playing meter. It the ideal meter for flow measuring and energy saving.

2 Two. Product characteristics High accuracy, normal type can reach±1%r, ±0.5%R. High accuracy type can reach to ±0.25%R. Excellent repeatability, repeatability in a short time can reach to 0.05%~0.2%,. Because of excellent repeatability, customers can have extremely high accuracy if they often calibrate or calibrate on-line. It is preferred in trade settlement. Output with pulse frequency signal, suitable total flow measuring and computer connection. No zero drift and strong ability in anti-noise. Can acquire very high frequency signal (3~4KHz), strong signal resolution Wide range: middle and large diameter can reach to 1:20, small diameter can reach to 1:10. Compact and light structure, convenience in installation and maintenance, ability of large flow. Suitable to measure in high pressure. No need to open aperture on the meter, so it is easy to make high pressure meter. Many models of dedicated sensors. Can design dedicated sensors of special requirements for customer, such as low temperature type, two-way type, pump type, sand specific type. Instrument division 1. Divide according to the function of the meter, DY-LWGY series turbine flow meter can be divided into 2 categories, that is: Turbine flow sensor/transmitter Intelligent integrated turbine flow meter 2. Function explanation Turbine flow sensor/transmitter This type of flow meter has no function of live show, only transmit flow signal far away to output. Flow signal can be divided into pulse signal and current signal (4-20mA). This meter has low price, integrated high quality, small volume. It is suitable to be matched with computer control system such as secondary displaying meter, PLC, DCS. This product can be divided into LWGY-N model and LWGY-A model according to different output.

4 LWGY-N sensor: 12~24VDC power supply, 3-wire pulse output, high voltage level 8V and low voltage level 0.8V, signal transmitting distance 1000m LWGY-A transmitter: 24VDC power supply, 2-wire 4~20mA output, signal transmitting distance 1000m This type of turbine flow product has basic type and explosion type (ExⅡBT6), the profile is shown in the following pictures: Figure 1, basic sensor/transmitter Figure 2, explosion proof sensor/ transmitter Figure 3 intelligent integrated turbine flow meter Intelligent integrated turbine flow meter The turbine flow sensor is one kind of new type intelligent meter which adapts low power single chip. It has many traits such as 2-line LCD display, compact structure, intuitive and clear reading, high reliability, no effect from external electro-magnetic, anti-lightning and low cost. It also has 3-point correction to instrument coefficient, non-linearity of intelligent compensation instrument and site amendment. The LCD with high definition can display instantaneous flow (4 effective digits) and cumulative flow (8 effective digits with zero clearing function). All the effective numbers can be stored for 10 years after the power was cut off. This type of turbine flow meters are all explosion proof, and the level is: ExdⅡBT6.

5 This type of flow meter can be divided into LWGY-B and LWGY-C according to the power supply ways and whether having remote transmitted signal. LWGY-B: 3.2V10AH Lithium battery can work lasting over 4 years, no output. LWGY-C:24VDC external power supply, 4-20mA standard 2-wire current signal. Add communication protocol RS485 or HART to meet the need in the site. Five. For example: Measuring diesel with a explosion proof turbine flow meter in flange connection, diameter is DN40. There is need for live show and remote transmission of current signal. Accurate level is 0.5 and material is 304-stainless steel. The measuring range of flow is standard range under 16MPa. The product number should be DY-LWGY-40(FL)/C/05/S/S/E/H16. Six. Installation size There are thread and flange connection for sensor installation according to different models. Refer Figure4, Figure 5, Figure 6 for installation type. Refer Chart 4 for installation size. Notes about the installation of the flow meter (1) Installation site Sensors should be installed at the sites where is convenient for maintaining, no pipe vibration, no strong electric-magnetic noise and no thermal radiation. The typical installation of pipe system for turbine flow meter is shown in Figure 7. All the components are depend on measured medium and is not exactly necessary. Turbine flow meter is sensitive to distortion of velocity distribution and rotating flow in the pipe, so it should fully develop pipe flow when entering sensor. As a result, match relative direct pipe section and flow regulator according to the model of the matched spoiler piece in the upstream of the sensor, as it shows in Chart 5. If the spoiler in the

8 upstream is unclear, the direct pipe section in the upstream is no less than 20D and that in the downstream is no less than 5D. If the space can not meet the requirement above, install flow regulator between spoiler and sensor. When installed outside, sensors should be protected against from sunshine and rain. Deviation of the angle in vertical installed sensor should be within 5 degrees. In the sites where flow can not be cut off, bypass and reliable cut-off valve should be installed (Figure 7). Make sure there is no leak in bypass when measuring. Connect one short pipe instead of sensor in the position on the pipe where the sensor will be installed. After the work of scan line finished and make sure inner pipe is clean, install sensor. Many sensors are destroyed because of the ignorance of this step.

9 If there are impurities in the fluid, a filter should be installed in the upstream of the sensor. If the flow can not be cut off, put two filters in parallel connection to remove impurities in turn or use filter that can automatically do self-cleaning. Install getter device when there some gas in the fluid. Outfall and getter hole of filter and getter device should be lead to safe place. If the sensor installed on the low point of the pipe line, add relief valve after the sensor to do impurities emission. If the measured fluid is easy to be gas ified, pressure on the exit of sensor should be larger than P min in order to prevent gas cavitation and remove the effecton use accuracy and the use of period. P 25 min = 2Dp + 1. p v Pa Here: P min-----minimum pressure, Pa p-----pressure loss at maximum flow of sensor, Pa P v----saturated steam pressure when at the highest temperature of measured fluid, Pa Flow adjusting valve should be installed in the downstream of the sensor. The cut-off valve in the upstream should be fully opened when measuring and there must be no vibration and leak. Add back valve if the fluid may do reverse flow. Sensor and pipe should be concentric. Sealing washer should not be prominent in the pipe. Liquid sensor can not be installed at the highest point of the pipeline, so that the pas in the fluid can not gather in the place of sensor. If this happens, it will affect measuring and not be easy to put out. The front and back pipes of the sensor should be fixed tightly and no vibration. Take protection measures for sensor and its near pipe if the fluid is easy to condensate.
