DO NOT Put any part of your body close to the reel while the reel is in motion and/or under tension due to being jammed by any object. 5. MAKE SURE That the bat springs are not under tension while working on this machine. 6. DO NOT Allow riders at any time on this machine or on the outside the tractor. 7. DO NOT Unhook this machine from your tractor unless the bucket is empty. 8. DO NOT Allow bystanders within a 50 ft. radius while picking stones. 9. DO NOT Park this machine on an incline. Always block the wheels. 0. DO NOT Take this machine on the road unless you have done a safety and maintenance check. Make sure your machine is road worthy and have a suitable safety chain from the tractor to the main frame of the machine.. If you allow the foregoing and standard maintenance and safety practices, this machine should perform safe and trouble free. 2

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS * Always choose a level spot when manually or hydraulically moving unit into or out of transport position. Preparation for Picking Rocks.

*Small hoses are for the Rake / Bucket and hitch. 3. Remove the safety pin or cylinder lock and swing the hitch pole into field position, either manually or hydraulically.

4 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS * Always choose a level spot when manually or hydraulically moving unit into or out of transport position. Preparation for Picking Rocks. Hook rock picker up to tractor. Connect the rotary switch to a 2v power source (must have a full 2v or this could cause problems). 2. Connect the hydraulic lines to the tractor: *Large hoses are for the Reel / Motor. *Small hoses are for the Rake / Bucket and hitch. 3. Remove the safety pin or cylinder lock and swing the hitch pole into field position, either manually or hydraulically. The hitch must be swung fully into field position and then pinned into place. Note: If the unit isn t moved into field position the reel can contact the hitch. 4. Adjust the Reel RPM to ensure the proper picking speed. Proper RPM for your rotary Reel: - To pick 2 6 rocks - 45 RPM - To pick 6 2 rocks - 35 RPM - To pick 2 6 rocks - 25 RPM - To pick 6 24 rocks - Shut off rotary reel. Pick up stone with rake. Lift approximately half way up, turn on rotary reel to push rocks to the back of the bucket. Reel speed can be varied by adjusting the Flow Control Valve (Figure A). This can also be done by adjusting the flow controls in the cab of the tractor. ** IF THE REEL IS MOVING TOO FAST, DAMAGE TO THE BATS WILL RESULT. ** FIGURE A FIGURE B 3

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 5. Move the rotary switch to the rake position in order to pick stones. (Figure B). ONLY THOSE ROCKS ON THE SURFACE CAN BE PICKED.

IF THE ROCKS ARE DUG UP FROM UNDER THE GROUND, IT WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE UNIT. 6. To dump the unit, the rake must be fully lowered to the ground. Then switch over to the Bucket position. (Figure B). WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DUMP IF THE RAKE IS IN THE UPRIGHT POSITION. 7. To use hydraulic hitch, flip rotary switch to Hitch position. Use tractor hydraulics to position hitch in desired position. (Figure B). Note: After some use the drive chain may stretch. Loosen the three nuts on the motor mount to adjust chain, tighten the chain so there is ½ of flex, then retighten the motor mount nuts.
