1 Circuit Breaker Types Automatic Reset The circuit breaker cycles continuously during an overload condition until the overload is removed or corrected. Modified Reset The circuit breaker contains an additional resistive component that causes the device to remain open as long as power is available. Manual Reset The circuit breaker contains a trip indicator button or lever that must be manually activated to return the device to normal operation. Switchable Circuit breaker operation is the same as Manual Reset but with the additional trip button or lever allowing the user to disable the circuit.
