1 Conforms to EN1088, EN292, EN , EN Description PHP6009 Heavy-Duty Hinge-Operated Safety Interlock Switch (Pneumatic) The PHP6009 is similar to the conventional HP6009 except that it gives positive acting isolation of a machine s compressed air supply instead of electrical power. The PHP6009 switch is mounted at the hinge point of the guard door. The bored stainless steel operating shaft is mounted in a heavy sealed bearing, enabling the switch shaft to be used as the hinge pin if necessary. NOTE: The PHP6009 does not have the adjustable cam used with the standard HP6009. 2 Operation Mounting Methods Valve Arrangement COMMON N/C N/O M4 Set Screw Roll Pin Roll Pin Bored Shaft The actuator shaft is pre-bored, allowing the existing hinge pin to be used as the mounting point. Solid Shaft The solid actuator shaft can be used as the hinge pin on certain guards. The cam mechanism is preset to positively operate the safety contacts at 5 of guard movement. 111
