3 BASIC SYSTEM WIRING INFORMATION This very basic system wiring diagram provides an overview of components and materials required for a simple installation of luminaires controlled by 0-10v dimmer control. These diagrams should not be used in place of actual installation instructions or submittal drawings prepared for a specific project. A V B C A B C may be dimmed using common 0-10v fluorescent-style current-sink or current-source dimming controls. These controls can range from simple wall box units to elaborate rack mounted systems, but all must conform to the IEC 0-10v dimming standard. Belden 9829 cable is the preferred communication/ data cable used to carry the 0-10v signal to the luminaires. Supply feeds to the luminaires should consist of Belden 9829 cable and 16GA minimum power supply wire. For added convenience use Winona Lighting SCL-1418 Data supply cable which is available in 25, 50, and 100' lengths, and can be field cut. The SCL-1418 cable is a wet rated 14/3 + shielded 18 ga twisted pair for excellent data integrity.
