When the calculator is first started, a new project and a new site are automatically created. Settings can then be added for different site locations by utilizing the easy-touse wizard. Superior Cam-Action Restraint Technology Unlike other products on the market that rely on a sliding wedge action and higher external pipe loading, the Smith-Blair Cam-Lock joint restraint utilizes a unique, patent-pending cam action and single tooth technology to achieve superior pipe restraint. The cam action requires less installation torque to engage the pipe, allowing the break-away nuts to snap f easier and faster. This produces less point loading on the pipe wall and helps make the Cam-Lock easier to install. The Cam-Lock s actuating bolts are designed with no internal stops so the actuating nuts only break away when the wedge properly engages the pipe.
