If more than the allowable rotating torque is applied, the non-rotating guide will be deformed and there will be a significant loss of rotational accuracy. This may cause damage to the machinery. When screwing a fitting or nut, etc. onto the threads at the end of the piston rod, push the piston rod into its fully retracted position, and grasp the protruding section with a wrench.
