6 Standard options Structure and shape of hull The structural design complies with standard EN-ISO The quality of the structures is also guaranteed by the use of ﬁrst class building techniques and materials such as multi-axial or one-way ﬁberglass fabrics and PVC sandwich construction.the hull sides, superstructures and main moldings contain foam PVC sandwich reinforcements to guarantee optimum rigidity and shock resistance.the surface layers of the hull (in direct contact with the gelcoat) are laminated with vinylester mastic resins that are extremely eﬀective at preventing osmosis and blistering, thanks to their intrinsic chemical and mechanical properties. In fact, Azimut oﬀers a 5-year warranty against osmosis. The internal structures (not directly exposed to the water) use isophthalic and ortophthalicdcpd resins suitable for this type of use in the nautical context. The bulkheads and internal divisions are made of marine plywood. The structural joints are made using special adhesives designed for composite materials in nautical applications.the semi-planing Dual Mode type of hull, produced with the aid of designer Bill Dixon, combines the particular bearing features of a displacing keel with those of a planing keel to ensure comfortable, eﬃcient navigation in all seagoing conditions that can be classed as not calm, at low and verage speeds up to 22 knots.
