2 THE GLOBAL RANGE OF LIFTS Global Lift Equipment are a well established supplier within the UK Lift Industry Specialising in design and supply of complete lifts and lift components Our in house UK Design Team work alongside Lift Companies, Architects, Specifiers and End Clients from conception to completion of a project to ensure that the ultimate customer receives the lift to their bespoke requirements. Working closely with our Notified Body (Bureau Veritas) gives us flexibility to accommodate difficult existing parameters which require specialist design. 3 INTRODUCTION The OPTIMA - E is the ultimate lift system for traction lifts as it removes the need for a motor room above or adjacent to the lift shaft. We have developed and improved the OPTIMA product significantly over many years and now have a solution which is a market leader in the UK, the new OPTIMA E. The machine system is Gearless which makes the running costs very attractive, gives a very good ride quality and makes recovery under power failure and emergency conditions very easy and cost effective. Gearless Systems remove the need for complex remote handwinding systems or large banks of back-up batteries for power supply - a simple emergency recovering system controlling the brake on the machine is all that is needed. We only use high quality equipment for the OPTIMA - E, Machine: The Machine is manufactured by CEG as standard with option for a ZA Machine at extra cost if required. Controller: The Controller is a Lester Controls Panel manufactured in the UK with a Control Techniques Drive or at extra cost a Ziehl Abegg Drive. Doors: The Door Systems are Fermator with options for Anti-Vandal Doors or the new Heavy Duty Fermator Door System designed for the Local Authority Market - The Robusta. Rucksack Arrangement The Machine is located in the head of the lift shaft and mounted over guides. The standard design is a Rucksack Arrangement therefore loads are only applied to one wall and also allowing 3 sides lifts to be provided. Conventional Arrangement For larger loads or at your request, a Conventional Type Arrangement can be supplied with Lift Car Guides on the horizontal axis. The Controller is located as standard at the top floor in a cabinet size 525mm Wide x 250mm Deep x 2100mm High. The Drive is located within the cabinet unless high capacity requiring large Drive sizes then the Drive has to be located in larger cabinet on the landing or within the lift shaft. Alternatively the Controller can be located at any other location within the building, up to a maximum of 20m away from the machine on request at additional cost. Page 2

The OPTIMA-E is the complete answer to the increasing demand for compact space saving and environmentally conscious lifts. They must provide functional light to meet required Lux levels whilst also being aesthetically pleasing.
