1 2014 RULE BOOK PRO LATE MODEL NEW RULES FOR 2014: PASS SLM legal cars may compete in any Pro Late Model event at OPS with the following provisions. Must adhere to Shock Rules & Shock claim rule #50 weight added for unlocked rear end and /or cambered rear ends #50 added for Aftermarket Transmission General Car Body Requirements c. Minimum ground clearance for the front spoiler/ air dam shall be 3". An additional piece can be added to obtain 3 ground clearance but must conform to nose and be straight down Shock Absorbers e. Shocks limited to any shock that does not exceed MSRP $ New and available to all competitors Shock Claim Rule: All Shocks are subject to claim by OPS or competitor. Claim amount as below Competitors: $ per shock plus shock swap OPS: $300 per shock *NOTICE* NO EQUIPMENT WILL BE CONSIDERED AS HAVING BEEN APPROVED BY REASON OF HAVING PASSED THROUGH INSPECTION UNOBSERVED OR PERMITTED PREVIOUS TO THE 2014 SEASON. THE TECHNICAL DIRECTOR SHALL DETERMINE AS TO WHETHER ANY TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION, DESIGN, OR INTERPRETATION OF ANY RULE SHALL BE ACCEPTED. DISALLOWANCE OF COMPETITION OR WEIGHT ADDITIONS TO NON CONFORMING CONSTRUCTION OR PARTS IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE TECHNICAL DIRECTOR. OXFORD PLAINS SPEEDWAY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO UP-DATE, MODIFY, ADD, OR DELETE RULES AT ANY TIME IN THE INTEREST OF PROVIDING PARITY FOR ALL COMPETITORS. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS MAY BE MADE VIA OFFICIAL ENTRY REGISTRATION, TECHNICAL BULLETIN, OR MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT, WHICH AUTOMATICALLY AMENDS SPECIFICATIONS HEREIN.

2 1-1 COMPETING MODELS AS SELECTED BY OPS Pro Late Model Provisions PASS SLM legal cars may compete in any Pro Late Model event at OPS with the following provisions. Must adhere to Shock Rules & Shock claim rule #50 weight added for unlocked rear end and /or cambered rear ends #50 added for Aftermarket Transmission Approved Competition Body Models The following bodies are approved for competition. See the ABC template instructions guideline included for heights and measurements. ABC: Impala, Monte Carlo, Grand Prix, Taurus, Fusion, Charger, Intrepid and Camry Other non ABC bodies permitted with weight adjustments. Chevrolet - Camaro, Ford Mustang General Car Body Requirements a. Cars must be neat appearing and have complete bodies. No altering of bodies or body style permitted without approval. That is, all body panels installed must match the brand of car, which is indicated on the front of the car. b. Full 1/8" Lexan type windshields must be used. Windshield must have at least 2 internal braces 4" apart and roughly centered in windshield. Windshield must be mounted solid. Full rear windows are mandatory. Must be 1/8" Lexan type, mounted securely, and braced to prevent any collapsing. Rear quarter panel windows may be used. The maximum dimension for the vent window along the top of the door will be 12 inches and must go 90 degrees from the top of the door up to the A-post. No panels or windows may be attached to the B post. c. Minimum ground clearance for the front spoiler/ air dam shall be 3". An additional piece can be added to obtain 3 ground clearance but must conform to nose and be straight down. d. Rear spoiler shall not exceed 6 1/2" (ABC bodies). The spoiler shall not exceed 60" width and must be mounted at the rear bumper cover. No side bracing or boxing permitted. The maximum height of the top of the spoiler to the ground shall be 41 1/2. Minimum spoiler angle 55 degrees. Maximum spoiler angle 70 degrees. e. The hood must have positive pull pin type fasteners with 4 pin fasteners on leading edge. The rear deck lid can be hinged, pinned, or riveted to the body.

3 f. The rear window height at the top may not drop more than 1" from center to either side. g. Rocker panels must be a minimum of 3" from the ground. h. Front and rear bumper covers must remain as manufactured. NO Modifications permitted! Only trimming permitted is for wheel clearance and grill opening. Minimum lower edge wrap measurement permitted will be 54 inches as measured from the center seam to fender opening measured at lower leading edge of nose panel. NO shaping or contour modifications of panels permitted in any way. Maximum Nose side to side width at tire may not exceed 83 inches. Front bumper cover must retain as manufactured lower fold. ABC Valance wear strip is permitted. i. No carbon fiber body parts allowed. j. No rub rails or outside body bracing allowed. k. Roof and rear window air deflectors are allowed. A maximum of 2 allowed, mounted parallel of each other with a maximum height of 1. l. ABC Five star & ARP bodies must fit templates within ½ and maintain all dimensions in diagram for ABC Dimension Guidelines page. All car base weights are based off the utilization of the ABC body. Other bodies that are previously mentioned may be permitted with appropriate weight assignment as determined. m. No panning permitted. No air deflection devises permitted. 2-1 Car Weights All cars weights listed are race ready with driver, full of fuel, oil and water before race. Maximum left side weight percentage for ALL cars will be 57% before, during and after event with NO allowances in any form. All weights are based off ABC body and perimeter chassis lbs: GM # (ZZ4) crate engine (Engine option #1) GM # Fast Burn crate engine (Engine option #3) Steel Head Restricted engine (Engine option #5) 2725 lbs: GM # (ZZ4) crate cam change (Engine option #2) GM # Fast Burn crate cam change (Engine option #4) Steel Head Engine (Engine option #6)

4 Added Engine weight options. Amount listed is per option utilized. Add 25 lbs: 5.5 inch clutch / Engine set back up to 2 inch / Dry sump engine oiling. Deduct 50 lbs: AR Bodies Muscle car Camaro or Mustang body use. 2-2 Ballast weight Ballast weight must be securely attached to main frame rail or major cross member structure. It is strongly recommended that major ballast weights be contained inside the main frame rails. No lead shot or liquid type ballast permitted. No ballast adjustment devices permitted on car. Weight transfer devices of any type may not be activated by the driver. All ballast must be of lead material. Must be painted white and have competitors number clearly marked on each individual ballast piece used. 2-3 Car Weights Post Competition When cars are weighed after competition, only water, oil and gas may be added to verify total weight requirement is maintained if necessary. Left side maximum weight % must be maintained before, during, & after each race event. NO refueling allowed. Wheels and tires can NOT be changed. Post race left side weight violation penalty will be assed as follows. 1 tenth (.1%) over 57% left will be assessed an monetary fine of $100.(one hundred dollars). 2 tenths (.2%) over 57% left will be assessed monetary fine of $300 (three hundred dollars). 3 tenths (.3%) over 57% left will be disqualified from finishing order of event. Post race overall total weight must remain within allowed tolerances. Any violation will result in disqualification from finishing order of event. 3-1 Wheelbase, Tread Width, Frame Height a. Minimum wheelbase is 102" on either side. The left side wheelbase must be +/- 1" of right side. Maximum wheelbase is 108". b. Maximum tread width front and rear is 66". c. Absolute minimum height of frame and cross members is 3" from ground before, during, & after each race event with driver. No lifting allowed. Rear spoiler height maximum must be maintained before, during, & after each race event. 4.1 Engine Location a. Engine/drive line must be centered within 3" of the tread width of the car. This will be the outermost point of the front tires.

5 b. Engine crankshaft center height must be a minimum of 11" from the ground. c. Engine Location will be based off Zero engine set back with #1 spark plug aligned with upper ball joint centers left to right. Cars with engine set back up to maximum engine setback is 2" from the forward most sparkplug hole center to a determined line across the center of the upper ball joints will be subject to the 25 weight penalty. d. Engine must be positioned in the normal upright mounting, whereby cylinder vertical centerline of a 90-degree engine shall be a 45-degree engine angle to a vertical line projected from ground plate. 5.1 Driver s Seat Driver s seat must be designed for auto racing and constructed of.125 inch thick aluminum and adequately padded. Full containment seat recommended. Aircraft-quality hardware is required for attaching seat to seat substructure. Seat must be located with at least 6"(preference of 8") clearance to the nearest longitudinal door bar. The seat substructure must be securely welded to the main roll cage. Seat may not protrude outside 4 point upright or top cage halo. 6.1 Dashboard A full width dashboard is required. 7.1 Fire Walls a. Interior of car must be completely enclosed in respect to engine compartment, track surface, tire wells, and rear, (fuel cell) compartment. The area immediately beneath (floor) the driver and the vertical panels surrounding the seat area, front and rear fire walls, and transmission tunnel MUST BE CONSTRUCTED of minimum 18 gauge steel (.047 inch) and be of welded construction. Other interior panels may be constructed of aluminum, minimum of.040 inch thickness. b. Panel on passenger side of car may be either: (a) Flat projecting across at approximately the height of the transmission. (b) Dropped back to level of floor on driver s side of compartment. No vertical section of the driver s right may be higher than the nominal height of the transmission meaning a "boxed" or flat interior section to the driver s right is not permitted except at transmission height. 8.1 CHASSIS CONSTRUCTION 8.2 Center Section Components

6 a. Main frame rail structure of chassis, defined as the primary structure to which roll cage members, major suspension components, engine, etc., mount to, must be constructed of a mild steel shape having a minimum perimeter dimension of 10 inches. Examples: 2 x 3, 2 ½ x 2 ½, etc. Main frame rail members should be a minimum of: 10 inch perimeter tubing: inch wall thickness 12 inch perimeter tubing: inch wall thickness 16 inch perimeter tubing: inch wall thickness b. Main frame rail members shall be constructed so that the side rails are located within the normal tread width of the car. Right side main frame rail may be of perimeter or straight rail design. c. A perimeter frame chassis is defined as having left and right frame rails symmetrical (maximum 1 inch tolerance). Frame rails must measure a minimum of 50 ½ inches and a maximum of 60 inches from outside to outside and must be a minimum of 44 inches in length. d. The left main frame rail on a straight rail chassis must measure 10 inches minimum from the left front frame rail. When using an under-slung front snout on a straight rail chassis, the right main frame rail must be outside of the right front frame rail. They must not be in a straight line. 8.3 Front and Rear Sections a. Front and rear frame rails must measure 10 inches around the perimeter and constructed of inch wall thickness. b. Rear frame section must extend beyond the rear edge of the fuel cell. The rear frame section maybe be 2 X 2 from the rear axle rearward. c. Rear frame section may be fabricated above or below the rear axle. d. Front and rear frame sections centerline must be located within 1 inch of the centerline of the main frame section on a perimeter chassis. e. Rear frame section must measure a minimum of 38 inches outside to outside. 8.4 Roll Bars a. A four-point roll cage structure of 1 3/4 inch outside diameter made of inch thick molyendum or mild steel tubing is required. All cars must have an x-type member across and driver.

7 b. Roll cage structure must be fully with minimum 1/8 inch thick gusset plates at all major tube intersections. c. A minimum of 4 horizontal bars, 3 curved, with 6 vertical bars (2 between each horizontal bar), with steel gussets is required in the driver s door. d. It is mandatory to have 16 gauge metal welded between door bars or a 16 gauge plate 40 inches in length and 17 inches high minimum, welded between the door bars and the driver s door. e. The right side door shall have 3 horizontal bars, straight or curved. f. Total height of roll cage to be 40 ½ inches from bottom of frame. Halo to be no less than 1 inch lower. g. There must be a piece of tubing welded diagonally or perpendicular between halo and top of roll cage. h. Minimum height of door bars on driver s side is 22 ½ inches from bottom of frame. i. A Petty Bar must run between center of cage and upper right front halo. Width of halo should be a minimum of 44 inches on perimeter chassis and 31 inches on straight rail chassis. Measurement is from outside to outside of tubing. j. All roll cage installations and workmanship must be acceptable to OPS Officials. 9-1 GENERAL ENGINE REQUIREMENTS Only Oxford Plains Speedway approved engines permitted. All permitted engine options are detailed within detailed engine requirements. Engines may be interchanged within any corporate manufacturer s product line. Only ferrous alloy cylinder block type V-8 engines permitted. Camshaft location may not be altered. 9-2 Approved Eligible Engines GM: 350 or Crate engine s GM# (ZZ4) or GM# (Fast Burn) Ford: 351 W, 351 SVO Chrysler: 318 or DETAILED ENGINE REQUIREMENTS GM Bowtie, Ford SVO, (with the exception of the block and two barrel intake manifold) and Mopar Performance parts are not considered O.E.M. and are not approved for competition unless otherwise specified within rules.

8 9-4.1 Engine Option #1 GM ZZ4/ GM# Crate engine permitted with all specifications as manufactured with the below listed modifications upon rebuild that are restricted to the ZZ4/603 crate engine only. Maximum.030 cylinder over bore permitted. Total Seal Replacement piston and ring assembly permitted. Specific part Numbers restricted. Cylinder head plane surfacing permitted. Head MUST retain 58cc combustion chamber. Rockers are permitted to be replaced with Scorpion aftermarket 1.5 ratio roller rockers. Harmonic Balancer may be replaced with BHJ specific part number replacement. Timing cover may be replaced with steel replacement. Rocker Studs may be replaced with screw in stud design replacement. Aftermarket valve covers may be used. Oil pan may be replaced with either of the following replacement 6 ½ deep sump pans: Moroso Part #21315 or Champ Part #CP106LTRB with matching pick up assembly. After Market engine cylinder head bolts are permitted. Any distributor legal to OPS rules may be permitted All other rebuild specifications MUST adhere to GM rebuild policy listed within rules Engine Option #2 GM ZZ4/GM# Cam Change Crate engine permitted with all specifications as manufactured with the below listed modifications upon rebuild that are restricted to the ZZ4/603 crate engine only. Factory installed camshaft may be replaced with any camshaft that interchanges with engine without any modifications. Factory installed lifter may be replaced with matching lifter to camshaft application that interchanges with engine without any modifications. Any distributor legal to OPS rules may be permitted All rebuild specifications MUST adhere to GM rebuild policy listed within rules Engine Option #4 GM Fast Burn CAM CHANGE GM part # fast burn crate engine in factory O.E.M. produced form.

10 The ONLY modifications from production form from factory are as follows: Factory installed camshaft may be replaced with any camshaft that interchanges with engine without any modifications. Factory installed lifter may be replaced with matching lifter to camshaft application that interchanges with engine without any modifications. Factory installed 1.5 ratio roller rockers may be replaced with similar design 1.6 ratio rockers. Harmonic Balancer may be replaced with Fluiddamper Balancer or BHJ specific part number replacement. Timing cover may be replaced with steel replacement. Aftermarket valve covers may be used. Oil pan may be replaced with either of the following replacement 6 ½ deep sump pans: Moroso Part #21315 or Champ Part #CP106LTRB with matching pick up assembly. After Market engine cylinder head bolts are permitted. Any distributor legal to OPS rules may be permitted All rebuild specifications MUST adhere to GM rebuild policy listed within rules. Use of engine option #4 MUST be used with up to 2 inch engine set back allowance and be subject to additional 25 lb. weight penalty Engine option #5 Steel Head 2 Barrel Restricted engine specifications Block: stock, maximum.045 overbore production blocks only. No angle milling permitted. Only modifications permitted are standard boring and decking only. Crankshaft: stock production steel only. Stock stroke =/ No Knife edging or lightening permitted. Only nominal engine balancing permitted. Minimum allowable weight shall be 50 lbs. Rod and main journals must remain OEM size. Camshaft/Lifters: Any steel hydraulic or mechanical camshaft approved by Oxford Plains Speedway permitted. No roller cams permitted. Cams must be chain driven. No gear or belt drives permitted. Solid lifters permitted. No roller lifters permitted. No mushroom lifters permitted. Lifter bores may be bored or re-bored and sleeved. Pistons/Rods: Aftermarket racing type pistons permitted. Must be flat top with stock pin locations. Two valve reliefs permitted. Aftermarket racing type wrist pins permitted. Floating wrist pins permitted. Connecting Rods must be of stock length and configuration for engine used. No billet,

11 aluminum, titanium, or carbon fiber rods permitted. Piston may not protrude above edge of cylinder block surface. Oil pan: racing type pans allowed. Wet sump only. Maximum 7 quart capacity. Minimum depth of pan from mounting rail to base of pan shall be 6 1/2 inch s. Oil Pump: Factory stock mounted internal wet sump type only. Intake: Any non altered Standard Production (O.E.M. or aftermarket) one piece aluminum intake manifolds may be used. Port matching allowed up to ½ inch maximum. No other machining permitted. Cylinder heads: stock production steel cylinder heads only. Older bowtie Permitted(Does not include Bowtie Vortec). Heads must remain stock as manufactured with the exception of the Installation of screw-in rocker arm studs and push rod guide plate installation permitted. Valve spring size is optional, must not require machining for installation on head used. Head must retain stock valve size for casting used. Angle milling is NOT permitted. No porting, polishing or modifications permitted (to include chemical porting). Port matching is NOT permitted. Roller rockers are permitted. Maximum 1.6 ratio permitted. Adjustable rocker arms permitted. Poly lock rocker nuts are permitted. Screw in rocker studs permitted. Rocker arm stud girdle may be used. No shaft type rocker systems permitted. Standard length push rods must be used. Any Valve Cover is permitted. Timing Chain: Stock replacement or double roller chain permitted. No Belt or Gear driven timing assembly s permitted. Timing Cover: Any steel timing cover permitted. Harmonic Balancer: Stock or aftermarket balancer permitted. Maximum engine static compression permitted limited to a maximum of to 1 Absolute. No Aluminum or Titanium parts permitted unless otherwise listed. Any specific part not listed within these posted rules must remain O.E.M. manufacturer replacement parts only Engine option #6 Steel Head 2 Barrel engine specifications Block: stock, maximum.060 overbore production blocks only. No angle milling permitted. Only modifications permitted are standard boring and decking only. Maximum cubic inch limited to 360 C.I.D.

12 Crankshaft: Aftermarket magnetic steel permitted. Knife edging or lightening permitted. Nominal engine balancing permitted. Minimum allowable weight shall be 38 lbs. Stroke optional but must be compatible to meet Cubic inch restrictions. Camshaft/Lifters: Any steel hydraulic or mechanical camshaft approved by Oxford Plains Speedway permitted. No roller cams permitted. Cams must be chain driven. No gear or belt drives permitted. Solid lifters permitted. No roller lifters permitted. No mushroom lifters permitted. Lifter bores may be bored or re-bored and sleeved. Pistons/Rods: Aftermarket racing type pistons permitted. Must be flat top with stock pin locations. Two valve reliefs permitted. Aftermarket racing type wrist pins permitted. Floating wrist pins permitted. Connecting No billet, aluminum, titanium, or carbon fiber rods permitted. Valve spring size is optional, must not require machining for installation on head used. Head must retain stock valve size for casting used. Angle milling is NOT permitted. No porting, polishing or modifications permitted (to include chemical porting). ½ inch Port matching is on all head options with the exception of the Bowtie Vortec option permitted. Roller rockers are permitted. Maximum 1.6 ratio permitted. Adjustable rocker arms permitted. Poly lock rocker nuts are permitted. Screw in rocker studs permitted. Rocker arm stud girdle may be used. Shaft type rocker systems are permitted. Standard length push rods must be used. Any Valve Cover is permitted. Timing Chain: Stock replacement or double roller chain permitted. No Belt or Gear driven timing assembly s permitted. Timing Cover: Any steel timing cover permitted. Harmonic Balancer: Stock or aftermarket balancer permitted.

13 Maximum engine static compression permitted limited to a maximum of to 1 Absolute. No Aluminum or Titanium parts permitted unless otherwise listed. Any specific part not listed within these posted rules must remain O.E.M. manufacturer replacement parts only. Use of engine option #6 MUST be used in Dry sump form and be subject to additional 25 lb. weight penalty. 9-5 Crate Engine "603" (ZZ4) / "604" Fast Burn Engine Inspection Policy Within the guidelines of utilizing the Crate -Race engine options all competitors are subject to a zero tolerance policy of inspection and conformability to all guidelines as specified by the manufacturer. If in the event any team is considered in question as to the productivity of performance from a crate powered engine, that engine will be susceptible to the following inspection process without protest. Failure to adhere to any action taken by OPS officials will result in immediate disqualification. At the conclusion of any race event OPS reserves the right to require any team to remove engine in complete form and turn over possession to appropriate officials for inspection purposes to be determined by officials. Engine will be susceptible to Dyno testing and/or engine tear down for complete inspection to determine total legality to factory produced complete form. Engine seals are not purpose for non inspection. In the event ANY part within engine is found non-conforming, the entire engine will become the possession of OPS without claim or dispute. An additional $1, fine will be assed to violating team before next event in which said team attempts to compete. Teams in which opt. for the cam and rocker replacement option are limited to only replacement of Camshaft, Lifters and Rockers! NO other modifications permitted! In the event of engine rebuild the only modifications are listed below. Maximum overbore of.008 Maximum Deck surfacing of block:.005 Maximum deck surfacing of cylinder head:.010 straight only. NO angle milling permitted. Minimum rod and main bearing size:.010 under All other necessary parts required for rebuild are to be direct factory replacement purchased through Manufacturer and are exact OEM specified part numbered to engine utilized specification sheet and installed to factory built specs. NO EXCEPTIONS!

14 The ONLY Variances from specifications listed within are those detailed within the 603 (ZZ4) Engine option rules. All crate engines are to be used in complete form as produced unless otherwise specified. From Intake manifold to oil pan. No external oiling systems permitted. ZERO TOLERANCE! 9-6 Engine Height Centerline of crankshaft harmonic balancer (or equivalent) must be located a minimum of 11 (eleven) inches above the ground plane Carburetor GM Crate engines are permitted the use of the 650 C.F.M. Holley Hp series Carburetor part # C.F.M. Holley HP series Carburetor as well as the Holley 4412 HP 2 barrel are permitted. Steel Head engine options are limited to the use of the Holley barrel HP carburetor only. ALL permitted carburetors must adhere and meet all OPS technical gauges for competition. Carburetors not meeting gauges are considered illegal. Boosters may not be changed but may be aligned. Size and shape must not be altered. Height must remain standard. Venturi area must not be altered in any manner. Casting ring must not be removed. Base plate must not be altered in shape or size. Stock butterflies must not be thinned or tapered. Idle holes may be drilled in butterflies. Screw ends may be cut even with shafts but screw heads must remain standard. Throttle shaft must remain standard and must not be thinned or cut in any manner. Power valve, floats and jet size may be interchanged. Carburetor jets must be the same type as supplied by the carburetor manufacturer. Choke horn can NOT be removed or altered. Only a 1 piece carburetor spacer, maximum 1 inch in thickness may be installed between the intake manifold and the carburetor. Any open, 2 hole or 4 hole spacer may be used, but the spacer opening must be perpendicular to the base of the carburetor with no taper or bevel. Outside configuration of the spacer must conform to the base of he carburetor. Only 2 paper gaskets (1 per side) with a maximum thickness of inch will be permitted. Gaskets may be altered to match carburetor base openings Air Filter / Air Cleaner / Air Intake a. Air filter element must be a minimum of 12 inches and a maximum of 16 inches in diameter. Air shall be filtered through the element. The air filter elements may not be sprayed or soaked with any type of chemicals or liquids. b. The air filter housing must be centered on the carburetor. No tubes, funnels or any other device which may control the flow of air is permitted inside of the air cleaner or between the air filter housing and the carburetor. c. Air box opening should be approx. 4 inches by 20 inches may be cut in the hood behind the carburetor air cleaner or utilize ABC cowl opening to allow fresh air to the carburetor. d. No carburetor hats or air deflecting devices permitted. Air filter housing and fresh air box only. Induction must be from the cowl area. No forward facing or "ram" air type induction is permitted ENGINE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM 11-2 Ignition System a. All ignition systems must be acceptable to OPS Officials. b. Ignition amplifier boxes and RPM limiters that are analog are allowed, but must not contain programmable, computerized, or memory circuits. c. No magnetos or computerized systems are permitted. d. The distributor must mount in the stock location and maintain the same firing order as a factory produced engine for the make and model car being used. e. No crank trigger ignition systems permitted.

16 f. No adjustable timing controls permitted Alternator Alternator system when used must be working within specifications. Must be pulley driven from front of engine Starter The starter must be in working order. Gear reduction starters are acceptable. All cars must be capable of starting under their own power Battery The battery must be securely mounted and covered. Battery may not be located in the driver s compartment Electrical Switch locations All electrical switches must be located within the driver s reach. A labeled on/off master switch must be located within reach of the driver s side window opening and effectively kill power from the battery to the car s ignition Electrical Accessories Cars will not be permitted to carry on board computers, micro-controllers, processors, recording devices, electronic memory chips, or traction control devices. Radios must be of two-way voice communication type only, independent of the car's electrical system. Any competitor who, during an Event, uses or is in possession of one or more of the aforementioned items is subject to a fine of not less than $ and disqualification, and/or disallowance of qualifying efforts, and/or withdrawal of the opportunity to qualify for an Event, and/or suspension from future OPS Events, and/or additional penalties ENGINE COOLING SYSTEM Radiator must be located in the stock position and an overflow protection system so as not to discharge fluids directly on the race track. No antifreeze permitted. A cooling additive may be added. No electric fans may be used ENGINE EXHAUST SYSTEM 13-2 Exhaust Headers/ Mufflers Exhaust headers permitted. All tubes from right and left bank of engine must enter single collector on each respective side of exhaust. No balance tubes permitted. Must be made of mild steel, no stainless

17 steel permitted. All cars must have mufflers in "as produced condition". Howe #3002, 3006, 3010 or H are to be used. Other manufacturer built mufflers must be approved before competition and meet sound level specifications. Exhaust pipes must extend beyond the driver but are not to extend past forward facing surface of fuel cell location. Exhaust MUST exit under car. Side exit exhaust is NOT permitted! Two into one exhaust systems permitted Competitors may be permitted a one event reprieve (first event in competition during the season) with alternative exhaust configuration at the discretion of track officials DRIVE TRAIN No carbon fiber or titanium parts permitted Clutch a. Multi-disc designed for racing. Minimum 7.25-inch diameter clutch plates. b. No poly carbon components or direct drive units permitted. c. Optional 5 inch minimum 2 disc clutch permitted with a 25 lb weight penalty Flywheel Any Steel Flywheel permitted Bell Housing Any aluminum or steel bell housing allowed. A 2 (two) inch inspection hole must be drilled into the bottom of the bell housing for viewing purposes Transmission a. O.E.M. factory production 3 or 4 speed manual transmission permitted. b. No in-out type transmissions permitted. c. Must have at least 2 forward gears and 1 reverse gear in working order. d. No automatic or semi-automatic transmissions permitted. e. All other forward gears (except 4th or high gear) in any position shall be 1.23 or higher f. Fourth or high gear ratio must be 1 to 1. g. Straight cut gears are NOT permitted.

18 h. All Transmissions are subject to claim by OPS or competitor. $1,600 claim amount ( $1, to competitor and $ to OPS) f. All transmissions must be approved by OPS Officials Drive Shaft a. Drive shafts and universals must be similar in design to standard production type. Only a 1 piece steel or aluminum drive shaft permitted. b. It is mandatory that (2) 360 degree solid steel brackets, no less than 2 inches wide and 1/4 inch thick, be placed around the drive shaft and fasten to the cross member of the car. c. All steel driveshaft s must be painted white Rear End a. Any rear end center section with steel spur gears will be permitted but must not use any electronic devices. b. Full floating rear axles/hubs are compulsory. c. Only Spool differentials are permitted. The use of any differential will be permitted as long as it is locked SOLID with the use of either a lock up "plug" or extended axle that renders the axle assembly locked. d. Differential oil coolers are permitted. f. Cambered rear axle housings are not permitted. g. Only Solid drive plates may be used. h. All running gear drainage plugs must be safety wired. i. No titanium parts allowed Wheels a. Only 15-inch diameter 5 lug steel wheels with a 10-inch rim width and a reinforced center are permitted. b. Solid heavy-duty steel lug bolts and nuts must be used. c. Bleeder valves are permitted Tires

19 a. Only Oxford Plains Speedway approved tires permitted. Oxford Plains Speedway reserves the right to specify tire manufacturer and type for all events. b. No hand grooving, buffing, grinding, and/or cutting on any area of the racing tire allowed. c. Any competitor who, during an Event, uses or is in possession of 1 or more tires that have been altered externally or internally by unauthorized treatment is subject to a fine of not less than $ and disqualification, and/or disallowance or qualifying efforts, and/or withdrawal of the opportunity to qualify for the Event, and/or suspension from future OPS Events, and /or additional penalties. d. Any team found with any tire softener, conditioner, or any substance used to treat tires, in their possession (including trailers and haulers) during any OPS event will be disqualified from the event. Additional fines and/or penalties may be imposed including, but not limited to, suspension from future OPS events. e. No tire warming or heating permitted. To include heating blankets, heaters, or ANY form of temperature altering methods. No exceptions. f. No Blowers or air directional devises to include duct hoses are permitted to be directed at tires in any manner. All Blowers or ducting must be directed only to brake rotor duct Durometer Rules a. The only approved Durometer will be the OPS instrument. b. Any tire under the minimum limit will be determined illegal and become the property of the OPS. c. Any competitor purposely avoiding an OPS Official by running through dirt, water, taking extra laps around the track, etc., will be determined to have illegal tires. d. Any competitor found with illegal tires at any event will be disqualified and lose all points and purse for the event. Competitor will also removed from the premises for the remainder of the event and subsequently be suspended for a minimum of 2 races and may be subject to a minimum $1, fine. e. All decisions by OPS Officials will be final SUSPENSION 17-2 Springs All front springs must be minimum 5 inches diameter, if not running coil over, and must be made of steel. Rear spring size is optional. Magnet must stick to spring. Coil over design permitted. Spring rubbers are permitted.

20 17-3 Shock Absorbers a. A maximum of 1 shock absorber per wheel is permitted. b. No experimental shocks. c. Type and location of shock absorbers is optional. d. Maximum shock gas pressure is 300 psi. e. Shocks limited to any shock that does not exceed MSRP $ New and available to all competitors. f. Coil over eliminator assembly s are not permitted. g. Bump stops are permitted Shock Claim Rule All shocks are subject to claim by speedway or competitor. Any steel or aluminum safety or racing hub allowed. 5 x 5 or Wide 5 bolt pattern allowed Rear Suspension Truck arm or three-point rear mounting suspension allowed. Solid tubular pannard bar only. One bar with two adjustable heim joints only. Upper link must be constructed of one bar with two adjustable heim joints only. No aluminum truck arms. No fifth coils. No Watts linkage. Trailing arms must be solid. Rubber mounts may be used. No devises to mechanically transfer weight while car is in motion

21 permitted. Rubber or neoprene snubber allowed on rear trailing links. One upper link rubber bushing or neoprene snubber permitted.. No spring suspension devises permitted Frame Rail / Body Component Ground Clearance The minimum ground clearance from the lowest point of the car, (frame, body, or attached weight, etc.) shall be 3 (three) inches with driver in car Steering Any type of front steering allowed. Steering box or rack and pinion type are permitted. Power steering pumps must be driven from the front of the motor by belts. Steering columns must have a minimum of two U-joints. Removable steering wheel is required Brakes Four wheel steel component brakes in good working order are mandatory. Brakes must operate on all 4 wheels and lock on inspection. Front brake rotor must be a minimum of 1 (one) inch thick and made of steel. Rear brake rotors must be a minimum of ¾ and made of steel. All calipers must not exceed MSRP of $ New and available to all competitors No floating brake calipers permitted. Brake bias adjuster is allowed. 1 working brake per wheel. All calipers are subject to claim by OPS or competitor. $ per caliper claim amount ($ to competitor and $50.00 to speedway) FUEL/FUEL SYSTEM Only Oxford Plains Speedway approved fuel may be used Fuel Cell a. Maximum size is 22 gallons (U.S.). Minimum size is 15 gallons(us.) b. Cell must have a minimum ground clearance height of 8 inches from the ground. c. Must have flapper/ball valve assembly in cell to prevent spillage when upset. d. Must be enclosed in a 20 gauge metal canister and installed in a safe manner. e. Must have a check valve in vent tube to prevent spillage. Vent line must not be excessive in length. f. Must have a safety loop designed to protect the rear of the cell. g. Any approved fuel fender fill design receptacle permitted.

22 21-3 Fuel Pump No electric fuel pumps permitted Fire Extinguisher A working fire extinguisher must be located within reaching distance of the driver Safety Equipment a. Window nets are required in driver s window area. The window net must be securely fastened at the bottom and have a quick release fastener at one end in reach of the driver. The net must be in the latched position at all times when the car is on the track. b. all times while in car, wear an approved driving suit and gloves. Suits must cover legs, arms and body of driver. Suits and gloves must be of fire resistant material. c. Helmets must be worn at all times while operating the car. Helmets must meet or exceed the Snell 95 standard. d. Cars must be properly supported by jack stands whenever a person is beneath it. e. Driving shoes are highly recommended Seat Belts and Shoulder Harness a. A quick release lap belt no less than 3 inches wide is compulsory. b. Both ends of the lap belt must be fastened to the roll bar cage with high quality bolts not less than 3/8 inch diameter. c. Shoulder harness must be no less than 3 inches wide and must come from behind driver s seat. It is recommended that the harness pass through a steel guide welded to the roll cage that will prevent the harness from sliding from side to side. Shoulder harness may be 2 inch wide when utilized with proper combination of Hans devise or similar head/neck restraint system. d. A center (sub) belt must be securely mounted to the lower seat frame at the bottom and to the lap seat belt at the top. e. Where the belts pass through the seat edges, the belt must have a grommet installed, be rolled and/or padded to prevent cutting the belt. f. All seat belts and shoulder harnesses must connect at the lap belt with a quick release buckle.

23 g. Seat belts must be dated by the manufacturer and must not be used beyond 5 years after the manufactured date. h. It is recommended that a Hans or Hutchens type device is used Part Identification Numbers Any parts that have any identification numbers and those numbers are removed or altered will be declared illegal Non-Conforming Parts Penalty Any parts that are found to not conform to the rules contained herein will become the property of Oxford Plains Speedway and must be surrendered immediately upon demand. Parts will be held by Oxford Plains Speedway and will be disposed of at the desire of Oxford Plains Speedway. If any team refuses to turn over any requested part or parts then that team will be denied access to Oxford Plains Speedway until such parts have been surrendered to the satisfaction of Oxford Plains Speedway management. An additional fine may be imposed as part of the penalty Declaration of Intent Anything not specifically covered in this rule book must be approved for competition by the Technical Director Competitor Claim restrictions and guidelines In the event any competitor options to place claim on any of the available claim part(s) listed they must qualify to do so by the following parameters: Claim must be placed in writing to series technical director within 15 minutes of completion of race(checkered flag for Pro late feature). Full amount of claim cost must be submitted at time of claim submission to OPS technical director. Claim amount must be in CASH US funds. OPS technical director reserves the right to deny any claim that is determined by director to be unwarranted or is presented in a manner or reasoning that is not conductive to honest and fair competition. Claim amount is listed in each individual part listed for claim in detailed rules listed previously. Details of amount distribution listed as well. In the event a claim is approved by OPS technical director, team being claimed is mandated to submit to claim without dispute. Refusal of claim will result in immediate disqualification and further actions and penalties by OPS officials.

24 Driver must complete given event on the same lap as the winner of event. Driver must finish within 5 positions of the team in which they option to place claim. Claim will include only the basic unit of claim and no additional attached parts. Engine claim is intake to oil pan with no externals(does not include any bolt on s that do not come as shipped.). Caliper is assembly only. Transmission is assembly only (no shifter-clutch-bell housing ect). Carburetor is Carburetor only in complete form (no air box, fuel line, linkage, ect). Shock is shock only with heim ends(no spring, coil over kit, ect) Eligibility A competitor who competes in 5 (five) or less features in a given division in a given year will be eligible for future rookie status Radios Pro Late Models may use two-way radios. All frequencies must be registered with the Technical Director. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE COMPETITOR TO OBTAIN AND BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THE CURRENT RULES PERTAINING TO THE DIVISION IN WHICH HE/SHE CHOOSES TO PARTICIPATE.
